**What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

Skytouch has more in-depth videos on how to do certain task which is really helpful!

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

Skytouch can be very slow at times to load information, especially when our hotel is busy with multiple reservations. It slows down our check in process and payment processing. Not ideal when it is very busy..

**What problems is SkyTouch Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A few problems are simple bugs that occur, there was an update that helped us view specific reports when they were trying to be saved or printed. 
Another bug that seemed to be fixed by skytouch is when payments would decline, and a new method of payment was added then that second payment would also decline. This was fixed and now allows us to charge the newly added card without having to log out and log back in for the card to work again.

**What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

SkyTouch Technology is incredibly intuitive and easy to learn, even for someone without a deep technical background. The user interface is clean and well-organized, making it simple to navigate through features and complete tasks quickly. I especially appreciate how little training was required—most of it felt self-explanatory, which saved a lot of time during onboarding. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the platform user-friendly. Customer support was always there to help!

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

While SkyTouch Technology is generally easy to use, I did find that some advanced features could benefit from a bit more in-depth documentation or tutorials. There are a few hidden functionalities that aren't immediately obvious, and it took some time to discover them on my own. However, this is a minor issue overall, as the platform is still very user-friendly once you get the hang of it.

SkyTouch Technology has completely transformed how we manage our hotel operations. It has streamlined our front desk operations, allowing us to quickly check guests in and out, manage reservations, and track room availability—all from a single, easy-to-use platform. One of the biggest benefits is how it integrates seamlessly with our booking channels, eliminating double bookings and saving us a ton of time. Additionally, the reporting tools give us real-time data on occupancy, revenue, and guest preferences, which has been invaluable for making informed business decisions. It's also reduced the manual effort needed for day-to-day tasks, letting our team focus more on providing great guest experiences.

**What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

SkyTouch has been a reliable property management system for our mid-sized hotel, and we use it daily across multiple departments. What I like best is its ease of use—the interface is intuitive, and new team members can usually pick it up with minimal training. It's also fairly straightforward to implement and integrate with other systems we rely on, like our channel manager and POS.

Customer support has been responsive and helpful whenever we've had issues, and their team has always been good about following up. The number of features is solid, covering most of what we need on a day-to-day basis. We especially appreciate the real-time inventory updates and reporting tools.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

The system can feel a little dated in its design, and some features—like group booking management and folio adjustments—can be clunky or overly manual. I’d love to see more automation and a cleaner UI in future updates.  I hear from some team members that the reporting features leave a lot to be desired in terms of accuracy and what it can accomplish. Also, there are a significant amount of bugs with its communication with our credit card processor and the OTAs, they do a good job of addressing them typically but these are pretty regular issues for us.

**What problems is SkyTouch Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SkyTouch is helping us solve several key operational challenges by centralizing our property management tasks in one platform. It simplifies reservation management, inventory control, and rate adjustments, which saves time and reduces errors across departments.

**What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

I have a great deal of control and am able to quickly navigate the interface. Nothing is hidden.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

It is cripplingly slow. Like after selecting a search request it can take 20-30 seconds to load. Then 20-30 to load the guest I wanted check out. Our internet is over 200mbs down 15mbs up. Every other site loads instantly without any delay. Our stage on our work unit is less then a quarter of a tb. It is not our machine or the connect. It is something on the back end of SkyTouch.

Our reservation, billing, room management, and checking out process.

Skytouch is very easy to use compared to most systems, for example marriott uses fossesometimes and that system alone took me 6 months to completely learn while skytouch took a day for the basic and a week to learn it all the way through

The only thing i dislike about skytouch is when checkig in third party reservations you have tp go through the arrivals list to check them in instead of being on the profile and doing so

I've loved using SkyTouch during working at Amsterdam inns Moncton. It's quick and easy to follow. If there's ever issues they're always resolved fairly quickly. The skytouch team is very helpful and easy to reach.

It's only a bit frustrating when skytouch goes down or is under maintenance but it's always resolved super quickly.

What I like best about SkyTouch Technology is the Group Master user interface. It makes creating group blocks simple, fast, and effcient. I like how we are about to check the guests out through the group master. The "Fast Edit" lets me quickly make changes to guest(s) reservations in the group block. I'm also able to edit term of contract with policy updates. Overall I am very satisfied with Skytouch Technology as it has made our hospitality business more effcient.

What I dislike about SkyTough Technology is that sometimes our guest(s) get double charged or unwanted authorization holds on their credit cards.

I worked with so many PMS system during my 20 years journey in hotels business and the sky touch has been the best simple system to use , the non complicated systems are ready useful at this time of industry where people just need to save time and reduce complications during business hours .. great system with very simple and easy functions!

**What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

The tech support is top notch at Skytouch.  Honestly, I always dread calling tech support for Choice Hotels, who owns Skytouch, because they make you sit on hold forever, and then you get someone who doesn't really know the system that way.  The result is being put on hold over and over while they call a more knowledgeable person to get a possible answer.  At Skytouch, that doesn't happen, because they don't seem to use overseas help to man the tech support lines, and the result is fast friendly people that actually KNOW the system inside out, and can figure out issues quickly!  There are times when you may have to sit on hold a minute or two, but it isn't like the 30 minutes or longer with other companies.  I would definitely use Skytouch again!

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

The only thing I believe Skytouch could improve is to have system status information on the login page.  On my most recent call this morning, they immediately gave me the information that they are aware of people not being able to login, and that they were working on it.  Again, it would have been good if that were posted on the login page so that we could avoid the call in the first place.  Other than that, there are no glaring problems at ST.

It is a very simple and intuitive system, so it cuts the training time, saving us money.  The system is usually up and running, an advantage over other PMS products.

**What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

"Clean" operating system and it's simple to use.  Tends to have minimal downtime but it has gotten a little bit worse as the company has grown.  Customer service has always been solid when needing to resolve issues or ask questions.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

Lacks the ability to fully "close out" a day or days and "close out" a specific room type.  It provides the ability to "close to arrival" on a specific day(s) or set a "minimum length of stay" to achieve that goal but that does carry negative attributes with doing so.  As we've evolved, it seems as though it has been having trouble interfacing with add-on applications for us.  Examples are door lock key configuration, picture identification capture, limited integration with Canary Technologies.

**Recommendations to others considering SkyTouch Technology:**

I haven't needed to shop alternatives since 2014.  My current franchise had just begun "testing" Skytouch the year prior and I disliked dozens of other options back then before they permitted me to become a "beta tester" when I demanded to have a better option when assuming their flagship.  We've been satisfied ever since.

**What problems is SkyTouch Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're a relatively basic roadside establishment with very few "extra's/add ons" but the operating system has helped us become more efficient all around.  The cloud feature is without a doubt neccessary in today's industry and has already become the standard.

I love how easy it is to use. When I first started at the comapny I'm with now, we used a diifferent pms system. When we switched over to skytouch I was worried that it woukld be difficult to learn. It is so much better then any system I previously used .

I dont like how you have to log out and back in for rate management or user admin.

there is verfy little to like about your product.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

Little to no communication. after any updates. there is a low to no connectivity, usually the next day. ther are long delays or no connectivity at all. The last two questions below are continued issues of lack of communication and assecibilty  any online or phone support. extremely dissapointed.  I will never reccomend skytouch to other properties. I am sorry that I am stuck with it.

The lack of communication to solve any issue. there is no benefit in your service.

There are times that when making changes to restrictions in Rate Management, they do not properly show in the Hotel OS side when viewing the future availablity screen.

**What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

SkyTouch is good for a mid-level hotel.    It is easy to learn for new staff members and straight forward aproach.   Its affordable with many options.    The layout is easy to understand and can interface with multiple third party products.    Support is US based and most of the time responds in a fast manner.     Being a cloud based system, you can impliment it throughout your company if you have staff at different sites and can use acorss multiple channels and locations.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

Recently a lot of issues with the system.    Reports have been off for awhile and no support with it.   Asking for management to talk has been refused and management does not interact with customers.    During installation, we had multiple issues that we continue to have with no help.   The manager did send me a basket of chocolates with a note saying "lets move forward" which I would rahter of had a fix then chocolates.   Its frustrating dealing with them as they are not very responsive when there are issues.   Usually get the excuse that they are short staffed or someone is not there, etc.   For being a hospitality company, I really question the "hospitality" and customer service.    They really need help in leadership to move this product even better.,

Managing all reservations and cashiering functions.

If a customer has a re-occurring issue, we assign a member of our technical services team to troubleshoot and resolve the issue, assisted by one of our developers if needed. Based on the depth of the issue, it can take time to resolve; for example, if an update in code or other aspects of our program is required. We strive to get all cases resolved as soon as possible. Reporting enhancements and corrections is an area we are presently focusing on and this includes working with our hosting platform. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may have caused.

Our technical services team is based in Arizona and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays. Member of this team may be reached at any time by phone, email, the chat platform in our system and through our customer community platform.

Every SkyTouch customer is assigned a dedicated Customer Success Manager for assistance with non-technical issues, training resources and for escalation of requests. In the case an assigned CSM is not available, another member of that team is available in their absence.

**What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

In comparison to many other systems I have used that I feel have over complicated basic functions SkyTouch tents to keep it simple as possible and has built in safegurards that prevent impactful mistakes.  The Dashboard is very well done, specifically allowing me to set the QuickKeys so my employees know exactly what they need to monitor and I can remove the buttons that would otherwise disguise the important stuff.  I can do everything on my phone is another 100%!
Support has also been better than any other system.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

There are a few details that I have made recommendations for product improvement.  We have to learn and train some work-arounds... I was told some of them would be updated in a recent "bug chaser".  They are minor... but honestly I can only think of minor issues.  Groups do not interface well with out Booking Engine... that process has been cumbersome... but again the work around has been managable.

**What problems is SkyTouch Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think SkyTouch may have reviewed my recommendations and considered them unnecessary and workable.  For me fixing minor glitches is necessary as when you are training Agent after Agent in this #quitculture teaching the work-arounds is cumbersome and Agents forget then have to call the manager afterhours and on weekends.  These are not serious issues, but they can get Agents stuck and seemingly could be fixed.
One example, is to change a room type you have to assign a room in the new room type, save, then go in an unassign... if you forget to unassign then you have a reservation assigned to rooms with no Notes... which creates conflicts and prevents guests from checking in as Inspected rooms are assigned unnecessarily.  As a result, I have to do all the upgrades and inventory balancing myself and it is very time consuming.  
PLEASE, allow us to change the room type with out Assigning, then Unassigning a room number!

Remote access.  I can jump onto Skytouch from my phone or computer whenever, wherever I am.  Easy to login from wherever I may be.

Customer support has always been great.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

There are a few items that Skytouch would benefit greatly from improving.  The first is finding past guest information.  I've seen many PSM's that will bring up all previous stay information when you enter the guests profile building a reservation however with Skytouch, you have to close out of the reservation and do a separate search to determine past stay information.  This allows for more error on the front desk with regards to rates, and past rooms.  

The other issue I find is that there is no real place to record a PO number on invoices.  Other than dropping it into the comments section when you check a direct bill guest out which creates an extra step (easy to forget about) there is no where else to record it.  It would be very helpful and streamline the reservation process as well as the AR process if you could record the PO number at the time of reservation and have it auto populate on the invoice when the invoice is created.

**What problems is SkyTouch Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I typically only require skytouch support when looking after my rate management.  I ask for assistance when I can't determine where certain issues are coming from and they are able to help me determine that.  For example, recently, I closed off the rooms in my exterior access building and although the day I did it, it flowed through to the OTAs, the next day they were back up for sale.  Derek from Skytouch support was able to offer me a suggestion to exclude certain room types from the specific rate plan which in turn solved my problem.

Skytouch offers a simplistic base for users to efficiently complete their job functions. This pms allows for quick configuration and execution of all hotel property and management functions with a single easy to find click. You won't find a faster-growing easy-to-use system for managing your hotel and keeping the learning curve to a minimum than Skytouch technology.

Skytouch seems to have more common than not software bugs that need to be ironed out. Sometimes the system will change property/room characteristics in an update that later needs to be solved with support. Support staff are amazing and quick to help in case of. Rest easy!

Skytouch offers me quick access to all hotel functions and reports. I am able to make quicker determinations about my property and sales on the fly. Remote access to the system allows me to coordinate and help with consumer relations without being on property, allowing me to log in and perform operations from anywhere.

Skytouch changes functionality and adds reports or other items that make working with the program easier. When we the users give suggestions for how the system could work better, they actually listen.
I also like that when there is an outage or problem with Skytouch's functionality, they leave a message on the help line to let you know that they know. So you dont waste your time waiting on hold.

Sometimes when changes are made to the system things can get a little rocky. Certain functions may not work. However the team at the support center are fast and helpful when you have a problem.

Every time an issue arrises they not only fix it. They also send out emails keeping you informed about what is going on and an ETA for it to be fixed. The support employees are amazing, fast, and super helpful.

I dislike the times the system has to go down due to maintenance or updates. It has gotten better over the years. At least now they schedule the maintenance ahead of time. Not at random.

Home screen has a quick view of hotel status, arrivals, departures, vacant rooms number of Out of order rooms. etc.

There is a e_regcard terminal for guest signature.  My issue is Suppressed rate reservations should never display the rate to the guests.  On the notes on the reg card it displays the suppressed rate to the guest and I have had several guests ask what that amount was.

**What problems is SkyTouch Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

would like to use Skytouch as a POS system for the Lounge and Restaurant With a simple cashier interface for the restaurant/ bar able to track and maintain credit card transactions, cash transactions, house account postings (comp charges) etc.  I do see that there is a Sundry Shop interface that may be adapter to be used to post restaurant and bar charges and payments.  It would be nice to have the ability to have the bar and grill process their own transactions and not have to wait in line to process charges via the front desk.

**What do you like best about SkyTouch Technology?**

It meets most of the requirements for a small to midsize property.  Easy to learn.  Our call accounter and Internet are interfaced with our PMS system. 
We compare this system with Micros system, which is far more expensive and service for Micros system is really slow.  Whereas service on Shytouch is extremly fast.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

I wished Shytouch would have a few bells and whistles that Micros system has.  Moreover, take into consideration our recommendations and implement changes to the system.  When we recommend a change, we are on the ground level and our input should be taken seriously to better the system.

**What problems is SkyTouch Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We requested a few pointers to be implemented in the update of the software, however, none of it was taken into consideration.  As mentioned in my comments earlier, our recommendation is due to our long experience with Micros system, which is an extremely robust system, however, their service is terrible and it is extremely expensive after Oracle took over.  
I think Slytouch is really reasonable and could be better.

I love that I can be anywhere and still be in touch with the hotels. If my staff has questions, I can literaly log on through my phone and see what they are doing. I makes it so much easier when I have new employees.

I only wish that they had a reminder when an out of order room was going to be released back into inventory. When we are really busy it would be nice to have a reminder.

Skytouch is a very simple interface to interact with. Everything is very easy to navigate and even if a particular task may be confusing, it's not hard to solve because it's common sense.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

There are some bugs when connecting to the EMV terminal. There is a "primary address" bug that is annoying and still hasn't gotten fixed. The solution is easy enough because you just click "more" under the guest's address, add a space to the address line, and it all saves - but that's annoying.

It helps me solve issues revolving around hotel management. I am able to easy assign rooms, check guests in, review notes, etc. all from a glance. The interface is excellent.

I would like it better if there were a way to run reports specific to each third party. I would also like better filters for some reports so I can print out specifically the information I need.

I love how user friendly SkyTouch is. There are plenty of detailed reports and pages but everything you need is quick and easy to find and understand.

**What do you dislike about SkyTouch Technology?**

Customer support can sometimes give you the run around, saying the issue needs to be resolved elsewhere, but when I contact the other party, they say the same thing.

Forecasting occupancy and desired ADR.
