My account was blocked, and my money stuck in the account just because I logged in from my home country, I'm trying to unblock my account for almost 6 months, and it is still under process, I have provided all the documents the same day they requested, but they keep saying it's escalated and under process, I just need to be patient and wait a few days, but nothing is happening Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Simple usage, creating a virtual or physical payment card. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Skrill? I have opened and VERIFIED my old account about a year ago. After the war in Ukraine started, I relocated to Poland and Skrill blocked my ability to refill. I wrote to support saying that I'm living in Poland and want to restore full functionality of Skrill. The support team responded that I should create a new account and inform them so they could transfer the balance from the old account to the new one. I did this and it was fine, BUT I had to go through verification one more time. I sent my passport and a selfie to the verification service. Since then, I have experienced the "fine" work of Skrill's customer service. Recently, I grew a BEARD, and the photo on my passport was without a BEARD. They simply said that my selfie does not match my passport and CLOSED MY ACCOUNT. I sent a message to the support service explaining that my old account, from which they moved the balance, was verified, and at the time of the transfer, they understood that I am the same person. After sending my money to my bank account, Skrill needs additional information like bank statements, passport, etc, which is suspicious. I can't do anything about the fact that they "froze" my account. What do you dislike about Skrill? almost everything else. this company, after having been with them for 4 years. turns off our API with them, sends zero warning, and doesn't explain why. remember this. we never even used them as a merchant. only to pay vendors cross border . No defined reason for cutting off the account other than "KYC will continue"... Why? We've been with you for 4 years. They kept trying to classify us as a merchant, with them (taking credit cards for payment, which never had)... then after submitting all of our docs (the same docs we've had for years), they send a letter of termination. NOW IMAGINE IF THIS WAS YOUR PAYMENTS PROCESSOR? The worst. Never trust a company that disables your account without ever notifying you, give almost zero reason why it's disabled, requests the exact same documents (articles of incorporation, bank accounts, SOI from the state etc)... when our account was originally approved, then terminates the relationship AFTER you send those documents in. Therefore, one should be as accurate as possible when doing transactions but overall, it is a good platform that I would recommend as an alternative payment source. Receiving and sending payments is hard work for a sole proprietor, especially when working in a different time zone, even in a foreign country. Local bank account online banking won't do much unless you have set up everything sealed with a signature or stamp. Not to mention human service fees are higher. SKrill has its secured account verification system; sending the payment can be done in a few seconds without worrying about its status. Easy to track from mobile app, push notification is also available which tells you important event of your transaction. Skrill also accepts transfers using credit cards, skrill charges 2.5%, but my bank gives 5% on every online purchase; this means I'm earning an extra 2.5% of the transfer and won't have to pay until next month. A traditional wire transfer can never beat this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Skrill? Unfortunately, Skrill recognizes nationality as address country. This doesn't seem friendly when work travel is required often. A prepaid debit card is legit/available depending applicant's nationality rather than where the money is earned. Fast and effective to transfer payment whenever and wherever, just like receiving instant cash deposit. Imagine how much time you could save from banking at the front desk, queue in the line, seal with the signature and rush in the business hours. I can quickly deposit my international multi-currency account without making an expensive wire transfer, with no border restriction as long as I have the mobile app with me.
