What do you like best about SkillPanel?
I recently started using DevSkiller and I can confidently say that it makes managing employee skills way easier. It gives you a clear picture of where your company stands right now, skill-wise, and helps you figure out exactly what you need to do to get where you want to be. Here are the features I loved most:
Skills Summary and Visualization
The software allows you to quickly gauge your company’s current skills landscape and plan for the future. It helps you set concrete goals by showing which skills are required to reach your company’s vision. You can identify skills gaps and in this way align employee development to fill those gaps.
Progress Tracking
Another feature I find helpful is that it allows you to set clear expectations for each employee’s progress. You can track their skill development over time, and the software provides a visual percentage to show how close employees are to mastering the skills required for their roles. This feature makes it easier to monitor progress and ensure employees are moving towards your company’s goals.
Real HR Work
What I love about this software is that it frees you from the usual technical and administrative tasks, letting you focus on what HR should really be about—helping people grow. It shifts your focus from paperwork to seeing the potential in your employees and guiding their development, which feels much more rewarding.
It provides tailored recommendations for each employee, showing career paths that align with their current skills. This helps you make sure everyone’s on the right track for growth and development. It’s not just useful for developing current employees—it also helps with hiring by pointing out what skills the company is lacking so you can hire smarter.
Personal Experience
Before I learned about DevSkiller, I was trying to manage everyone’s skills through spreadsheets, and it was exhausting. The data never seemed useful, and it felt like a waste of time. After some time I gave up trying to manage the employee skill set thinking that it was something unachievable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
