I wish I could find things I like about Skillable. But every time I am required to use it is awful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Skillable? Things start incredibly slowly. Taking minutes to load a single lesson. Everything is simulated, whether or not I gain anything by it being simulated. Accomplishing tasks does not automatically check off things so you're left constantly leaving the lesson to manually check boxes and keep up with where you're at, breaking flow and concentration. Evaluate Questions can take a stupid amount of time to verify as well. And that's when the labs are working. So many times the labs have bugged out completely and left me unable to complete them. This is an incredibly frustrating experience to deal with. I hate every second using them and wish I could skip them so I could get back to actually learning. What do you dislike about Skillable? I have significant issues with Skillable, primarily with its lab instructions not matching the lab environment, which is very frustrating. This mismatch forces me to exit the training to figure out how to proceed, disrupting my learning process. It's clear the lab manuals need updating to ensure they reflect the actual lab setup correctly. I find Skillable to be a very bad platform, as it never opens properly and always requires me to clear the cache. This issue persists even after opening multiple support tickets which always result in the same ineffective solution. The user interface is very bad and difficult to navigate, and I struggle to find any useful features in the platform. The program is full of bugs. No lab will let you complete the assignment. At some point, you need a user password that is not provided, and the Resources tab provides no resources, only a Reconnect CentOS button. Your post brings me right back to balancing chemical equations and feeling like it was a foreign language. After beating myself up, I went and asked another science teacher if he could explain things a different way. I encourage you to reach out to your professor and ask the questions you have. I'm not sure which CompTIA lab you're taking, but my hunch is that it's designed to help you practice and apply what you've learned in class. That will be difficult until you have a core understanding of the subject matter. Keep trying - you are going to get through this and then if this isn't your vocation, you never have to do it again! :) That's the beauty of a semester. It's finite and gives you the opportunity to see where you shine as well as where you'd rather not spend time. BTW - Skillable is the company that hosts the lab you're taking with CompTIA. There is likely a help button on the Resources tab of your lab that will connect you with people who can help, in addition to your Instructor.
