Skewlab is a cloud-based quantitative backtesting platform for trading teams, independent advisors, prop desks and small funds that need to validate strategies and portfolios before deploying capital. It runs strategy and portfolio backtests on stocks, ETFs, crypto, forex, futures and bonds from a single engine, on 34 billion data points with intraday history down to 1-minute, with realistic cost models (commissions, slippage, funding) and walk-forward, out-of-sample validation. Key capabilities: - Standard time bars plus dollar, volume, tick and imbalance bars - No-code strategy builder with 25+ indicators and a rule DSL; portfolio builder with rebalancing, regime filters and hedging - AI-assisted strategy review: the assistant reads a backtest and suggests concrete changes to entries, exits and risk rules - Alpha/beta and rolling correlation against a benchmark, to separate skill from market exposure - Forward Monte Carlo projections and stress tests - Trade-level diagnostics: every exit reason, stop and drawdown episode is traceable - Exportable PDF reports for investment committees and clients Plans: Free (daily data), Basic, Pro and Institutional (multi-seat, all asset classes and timeframes, priority compute).
