**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mekeisha M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2016

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

Uncluttered interface makes it uncomplicated and allows you to dive straight in with creative work. It's great for concept work- you can begin sketches and paintings and then import it into a more powerful software tool. It also supports layers.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

It doesn't have differ types of canvases such as textured paper and needs more adjustment layers.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

It's best to use when coming up with ideas or digital painting on the go. It's uncluttered so you don't get bogged down with loads of tools and brushes and it gives lots of room for experimentation. It's great for jumping straight in and creating without having to think too much. You can also import reference images.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's great for simple paintings and design work.

  ### 3. Awesome mobile sketching platform

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

While not as profound as apps like Procreate on Ipad - Sketch proves to be a great tool for sketching out ideas and working on multilayered pieces.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Could use a more user-friendly UI. I find at times that I'm hampered in process by having to navigate to the gallery in a janky manner.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

For the price! Give it a try!

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a filmmaker, I'm involved in the process from start to finish. Working on concept art is crucial in pre-production in order to establish the aesthetic of the project. Sketchbook acts as just that. When I'm out an about - I have a comprehensive tool in which to develop ideas as the inspiration comes.

Is awesome how much it resembles, when you draw with a paper and pencil, you get that real sketch-feel.
