What do you like best?

Matt was instrumental in the success of a unique and important marketing partnership with a large management company. Sometimes, when a company wants to grow into new markets, the old standard approach will not work. His fresh approach to this project was professional, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and led to its success. Matt has encouraged and prompted us engage more on LinkedIn to generate leads, spearheaded the transition from our old custom built CRM to SalesForce, helped the sales team to create more successful discovery calls and guided us through meetings with executives and others in our industry. He is adept in knowing when to take the lead in a meeting and when to step aside and the let sales team member guide the conversation. We are all learning from him, without becoming dependent on him. What do you like best?

There are two things that I have really enjoyed while working with Skaled. The first being the weekly meetings with Mike Racz - our dedicated Skaled rep. He has been great with implementing the playbook and teaching the BD team how to use it. The second is the time Mike has spent teaching our team the ins and outs of LinkedIn. What do you dislike?

Personally I have not come across any downside to working with Skaled. I have heard from other members of our team, who are not as tech savvy, that they have been overwhelmed at times trying to understand the various platforms Skaled is asking us to use (LinkedIn). What do you like best?

- The Consultant(FW) worked on our project was really helpful. But he didn't get enough help from Skaled when needed.

- They are more focused on selling us new project & Renewal then making sure existing project goes according to the plan.

- The Marking/graphic Designer they assigned to us was hard to work with.

What do you like best?

Skaled has become a software that in recent years has made a difference greatly in our company, since it is a totally modern and potential system that allows you to work more efficiently to increase sales, work in a planned and focused on the objectives of real importance. From the first moment you use Skaled in my work I realized that it was a potential platform, since its ability to adapt to all the different needs of use have no limits, a quite remarkable aspect of this service is that it has a very easy to operate system, it looks quite updated and its operation is really fast, allowing the people who operate the software can have complete agility. What do you dislike?

Skaled is a platform that has a really high cost, so it is necessary to have a good budget to be able to implement this service with tranquility, as a support team I can say that it needs to improve its efficiency, since it can become very difficult to obtain response from them because of how slow is its operation, I would like to see this service more commercial in comparison with many of its competitors, since many people do not know about the existence of this platform. Taylor from Skaled has been a tremendous resource to the the leadership of our evolving and growing industrial automation business. We have reached a point in our strategic plan that requires that we expand our sales team. In order to do that, we needed to be able to create a play book that would incorporate our Mission, Vision and Values to build success for the next generation of Sales Project Managers. Taylor worked with us, and helped us not only create the playbook we needed, he also helped us recruit and train our first dedicated Sales Project Manager. Meaningful strategic presentations, strong candidate vetting and great communications with our team made a strategic project possible when we couldn't free up enough knowledgeable internal resources to make it happen without some outside help. Skaled helped our sales team analyze our existing sales strategies to find weaknesses and opportunities for improvement. The project focused on several areas, including: LinkedIn best practices, review of all of our current procedures including phone and email templates, thoughtful communication with prospects, and the nuances of the Challenger selling approach.

We spent time developing strategies to help us be more successful in converting prospects to closed opportunities. Skaled representatives also joined our weekly sales discussions to listen and provide feedback on our time management. They also reviewed our software demo recordings to suggest areas of improvement. What do you like best?

My favorite session was Courtney Johnson's LinkedIn Best Practices. While I've been on the LinkedIn platform for a number of years, I was generally not actively engaged. Courtney provided several tips for immediate improvements and also discussed longer term goals for prospecting, building business networks, and providing valuable content for my audience.

My network on LinkedIn has increased substantially and Pandell is much more actively sharing content promoting our software and relating it to challenges facing our customers and future customers.

It was also helpful to hear success stories from the Skaled team on challenges they'd faced in their personal and professional lives. Even when I didn't agree with their comments, it made me challenge my personal convictions and either adapt or strengthen them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

My least favorite parts were the final "Science of the Close" presentations. While the Pandell audience was much broader than just our sales team, I felt that the content was generic and not specific to Pandell's needs. Specifically, as a sales representative, I would've preferred a much more specific presentation on Skaled's observations of the Pandell sales team over the months that we work together. It would be nice to know where specifically we made mistakes in our process and what specifically would be recommended by Skaled to correct those mistakes.

I understand that our software solutions are very nuanced and targeted at specific markets, so Skaled won't have all the answers, but the presentations, especially the first one left me feeling that the information was regurgitated and commonly presented to other Skaled clients. Certainly many of the organizations utilizing Skaled's services have similar challenges, but I felt that the information provided was generic and not deep enough to truly benefit our sales team. Additionally, many of the strategies suggested had already been implemented by our Sales Director prior to working with Skaled. It would have been more interesting to understand how we could improve these strategies to be more effective in creating and closing deals. Again, having worked with us for months, I hoped for more specific examples of where we did things well and where we could improve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

During this time of uncertainty related to COVID, we are looking for new ways to generate leads since we are not traveling to trade-shows and other events. I think the motivation created by Courtney to engage on LinkedIn has been the most beneficial. I upgrade my account to Sales Navigator and have consistently been developing new contacts, sending my allocation of InMail messages to cold prospects, and developing leads from these connections. Responses to cold connection requests and messages seem to be greater through LinkedIn than traditional cold calling and emailing - although those two methods are still effective for me, as well.

It was also helpful to work with Brooke, Chuck, and the rest of the sales team to challenge us to critique ourselves and look for opportunities to improve and think differently about our sales approach. I think working with Skaled also validated some of the practices we've been working on as a sales team. It also confirmed that to be successful you have to be willing and dedicated to doing the work! Skaled helped Pandell identify areas where we were not tracking success effectively. This helped us close a gap between our expectations and reality in customer facing contact.

What do you like best?

The pin point specifics built for Pandell. There was no "general sales tips" or "here is your generic short fall". Their discussions and solutions were pin point accurate recommendations and tactics.

Summarizing the recommendations and process in their training sessions really helped tie in everything taught to an effective and powerful presentation of our new tools.

We connected with Skaled to assist us with the expansion & re-design of our SaaS sales organization. Essentially taking us from a flat structure to a pod/team design (Can/US/Intl). They assisted us in identifying and creating a variety of new roles & detailed responsibilities surrounding each. This will help us to best achieve our growth goals and produce a more predicable sales pipeline. With the help of Skaled we are revamping our onboarding process, compensation structure, sales playbook (across several verticals), and sharpening our selling skills in general. They are also assisting us with change management and the ongoing training & development of our new and existing sales team. Our company has an amazing culture and is labelled one of the best places to work in North America. It is very important to us to deploy these changes with as little disruption as possible and have our existing sales team receive this major redesign as a positive & exciting change. What do you like best?

The complex skill set of their entire team and how well they each know our company. We provide several software applications to a variety of market verticals. Our sales are very complex and our approach is different from one to the next. Walking in and understanding our company is not simple but they took the time and educated themselves in order to successfully work with our team. Skaled engages their best internal resources to work on different areas of our project depending on the task. There's a ton of years of experience within the entire team as a whole.

I personally appreciate their recommendations on best practice and their experience in working with companies similar to ours. Their collective expertise allows us to move way faster than we could have on our own and I'm sure we are avoiding many mistakes along the way. I always feel that our meetings are productive, always gaining traction and moving the project forward on time & budget. Due to Climb Credit's rapidly growing student loan product volume, we were in immediate need of some sales expertise to assist with properly scaling our sales initiatives. Skaled was the top pick for the sales-consulting firm to work for many reasons--one of them being their focus on leveraging technology-based solutions to scale sales processes. As a FinTech company, an emphasis on using technology in this way is key, and they did a great job at driving this approach. Skaled also sought out technology solutions that already existed internally at Climb that had just not yet crossed team lines. Specifically, we on the Capital Markets team have many tools that have wider cross-functional applications, but have not been tailored to other functions and/or implemented yet. For example, we worked with Skaled to provide an Excel-based cash flow tool to Climb's sales team which has since been a huge success in our sales pipeline for providing more details and transparency surrounding our product cash flows to prospective school partnerships. While they were generally great at driving their sales team initiatives, I think some of the progress was slowed down by what seemed to be a lack of financial product expertise, especially with the complex student loan products that we offer at Climb. I think this caused some initial overconfidence and oversimplification of how to drive their results, but once they got up to speed and adjusted accordingly, everything became smoother. Sometimes it is having another set of eyes, sometimes it is learning from outside experiences, and sometimes it has been through sheer brilliance….these people seem to know how to find the nuggets of gold, and move them to the forefront and move the company forward. All work was highly personalized and we knew that the lead consultant had taken the time to understand our services, market and challenges, as well as our goals. We've worked with a number of consultants for various projects, and from my perspective the team at skaled has been the best at collaborating with the team to execute on their goals and understanding the business prior to attempting to deliver value. They've thought globally about their decisions and how they will affect various stakeholders, and they request input from team members prior to implementing proposed changes. Like all consulting engagements, there will always be a difference between working with a consultant and working with a full-time employee. In addition, Franklin’s ability to produce and communicate clearly minimized the time required to manage the consultant effort.
