We find the pre-determined issue allocation to content/UX or IT do not always match with our own internal usage. It would suit us to be able to toggle the owner of the issue ourselves. We have hundreds of site and it would be really useful for us to be able to audit our whole estate and receive many of the 'Site only' reports to work across all sites. It has been instrumental in providing us with an IT backlog of accessibility issues for us to feed into our IT releases. The UI intuitive and user-friendly. The navigation, dashboards and policies make it pretty straightforward to understand what you are seeing and how to take action. I am a data geek, so I have used dozens of BI tools and databases, which can have a steep learning curve, but SiteImprove makes it easy for web admins, content managers and executives to understand the current state of the website, the trendlines of process in different areas and the opportunities for improvement. We started with just the QA module (including Accessibility) and made a lot of gains in a s short time. The interface, customer success manager and support were all strong, so we added the SEO module, then Analytics and recently the Performance module to help with page load speed optimization. I like the DCI (Digital Certainty Index) and have included it in my team goals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Siteimprove? We have struggled a bit with implementing custom event tracking in Analytics. The SiteImprove support team is very responsive, but we are used to doing everything ourselves in Google Tag Manager, so it is a bit of a mind-shift to work through their support team or to develop the custom events in JS. SiteImprove is improving the digital experience on our websites, by identifying issues, such as broken links, slow page loads and accessibility issues. In addition, SiteImprove serves as a comprehensive cockpit to analyzing and improving our sites. We have built our our Website KPIs (and underlying metrics and categories) in SiteImprove and found it to be much quicker and easier than other analytics tools. We actually started to build these out in Google Anlaytics, but ran into problems grouping pages in a manner that aligned with our content owners and goals. We have a number of other analytical tools tied to our website, but we keep coming back to SiteImprove, as it is effective and we can see our progress and prioritize next steps very easily. It is an excellent alternative within the market; it is a robust and feature-rich tool to efficiently monitor any broken links, spelling errors and general accessibility issues on our websites so we can provide quick solutions and improve the web experience of our customers and visitors. SiteImprove makes it easy to identify issues with your site content and code. Because front-end web development is an inexact science, there's no one way to build anything. What do you dislike about Siteimprove? There are occasional hiccups with the "global score" changing oddly that can be confusing at times. The ADA tools are phenomenal, they gave us a new insight into the backend code, and practices we werent aware of Policy - what a cool feature, we used this to scan our website html for random snippets, the name "Policies" seems confusing at first we thought it was related to some sort of privacy policy action, maybe a renaming to something like "Website Scanner", "policies" seemed too official and concrete at first. Dashboards - The dashboards were a great place to make custom views for different groups, it needs a date range filter Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Siteimprove? The price - very expensive for the out of the box product No Project Management - sure it can identify problems, but using Siteimprove as single source to manage tasks is non-existent. We found ourselves copy pasting site issues into a spreadsheet to manage tasks for the 3 main areas amongst different departments. it was more work but it was the only way we could assign specific tasks to our agency. - some of us doubled the work, we had different people simultaneously working on the the same task unknowingly at times - assign users or user groups to a specific tasks is needed Reporting Needs an upgrade - Industry benchmarks are important for reports, there was only one graph that showed industry benchmarks - "Are we in the green for legal responsibilities", our executives wanted to know if the fixes put us above what would be considered legal trouble - More flexibility when it comes to graph customization, ability to add issues one-by-one to a table Items to consider: - date range filtering, progress over time, % increases or decreases - total resolved issues - resolved issues, month over month, year over year, week over week - total number of occurences - pages affected decrease over time - alerts score has moved from above to below benchmark - filter by "user group" SEO - show the score breakdown table on the "SEO Overview" section, needs ability to close and open accordion - section out "Techincal", "Content", "User Experience" more - theres nothing about keyword optimization, a yoast integration would be highly suggested and raise the value of the tool in my opinion, otherwise ScreamingFrog is my alterative to the Siteimprove SEO tool QA - add "time it takes to read", helps show if the content is too long - add focus keyword in content Groups didnt work for us for what we needed - the groups feature seems to only group by URLs, it needs to group by tasks, or broader by ADA, QA, or SEO - we didnt really end up using this feature in our workflow - we initially wanted to group our users by department or which tasks they would work on, "Marketing", "Copywriters", "Web Developers", "Admin" Scores - the score numbers seem arbitrary without juxtaposition to industry benchmarks, repeated the phrase "so is that good?" Highlight the manual recrawl scan feature - we wanted to recrawl the site, couldnt find this feature for months until we got on the phone with Siteimprove, they showed us a small hidden button in the SEO section Behavior maps? - whats that? - can we get heatmaps, scrollmaps, and other site improvement tools so we can remove crazyegg and/or hotjar Page speed - we dont use this feature in Siteimprove, we use our own Google Analytics dashboard to identify slow pages - it just links to Google Page speed? - maybe integrate a waterfall or table that shows slow loading resources on slow pages like images, javascript files, list the items in order by time loaded Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
