"Fantastic Product and Customer Service"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

I can't say enough good things about Siteimprove. As the sole web content manager of a large college website, I use it regularly to identify quality assurance issues with our website, such as broken links and mispellings. Sharing snapshots with our many web contributors is simple and helps them easily identify issues so we can fix them quickly. A quality assurance score helps us monitor progress. Pulling analytics is easy and helps to show if pages are having an impact. Customer support is exemplary -- responsive and helpful. A robust help center within Siteimprove offers tutorials on its many (and ever expanding) features.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

Nothing. Wish there was more time to take advantage of all of Siteimprove's features!

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a small web management team, Siteimprove helps us identify issues with our website that we otherwise wouldn't be able to on a regular basis.

"Siteimprove makes web content clean-up more efficient"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

I love that there is an inventory of all documents on a particular website and it will also show you which pages are linking to a particular document. It makes clean-up and tracking down outdated content so much more efficient. I also really appreciate how responsive and helpful the Siteimprove support team is. Whenever I have a question, they are quick to reply and usually find a solution for me within 24 hours.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

So far I haven't had any negative experiences with Siteimprove. I wish I had more time to learn about all the different features.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

I work in a large organization that has over 100 websites and there is only 3 webmasters so Siteimprove has been a huge help when it comes to tracking down pages and websites that are out of compliance. I also think it is a huge benefit to actually have an inventory of all pages, documents, links, etc.

"Siteimprove is a powerful all-inclusive web governance suite helpful to any organization"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

An easy to use platform that identifies site issues, whether it's a broken link or a web accessibility item that needs to be reviewed. From an analytics standpoint, the behavior-tracking is extremely helpful to see how effective certain landing pages are as well as where the majority of users are going next.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

There may be a bit of a learning curve because there are so many menus and ways to access reports. Luckily, the SiteImprove academy has a wide variety of tutorials you can access to help you through.

Recommendations to others considering Siteimprove:

Highly recommended if you are looking to gain more control over your site from a web governance perspective.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

Accessibility improvements: Able to improve our site to be well above industry standards

A more accurate site that gives a good impression to visitors by minimizing negative experiences (broken links and misspelled words).

"Super Helpful Services"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

I like how SiteImprove is consistently monitoring my account and has information at the ready if we need to research issues. The reps are great and attentive. They are always willing to assist or find the info that you need. I also like that there are recommendations on how to improve our ratings. It is also helpful to have the plugin for the website fully functioning and helping me create accessible pages as I am working on them.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

I had issues with the plugin for Wordpress for a while, but our developers worked it out. I would also like email reminders to take Academy courses to brush up on information or learn about techniques I should be using.

Recommendations to others considering Siteimprove:

If you have WCAG concerns, SiteImprove can help you become compliant and understand what the issues with your site are. It can also tell you how to fix issues and how to best serve your users.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

To make sure that our website is accessible to people of all abilities. I realized that there is an abundance of information on the platform and that others are going through the same issues so I can get information on most topics if I need it.

"Fantastic tool with great features and really well designed interface"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

In the work I do, the Accessibility and Policy features have been key! The interface brings it altogether in a way that makes resolving these issues a breeze by clicking into the page to identify where issues are exactly and then clicking directly to enter the authoring version of the page in question.

The Dashboard page is very helpful too in giving us a great high level picture of the state of the website.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

Something I sometimes get frustrated with is the lack of features or customization when it comes to exporting lists to Excel documents. I also ran into issues easily sharing data and heat maps from the Behavior section.

Recommendations to others considering Siteimprove:

Instead of investing into flimsy Accessibility shells for websites (with do little to really address accessibility issues) invest in a tool that finds and offers solutions to resolving the core accessibility issues.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

Accessibility has been the biggest most important piece. Followed by policies. I manage the CSS files for our website so easily identifying uses of classes (specifically the CSS Selector option) has been really helpful.

Determining the UI for specific landing pages (via the Heatmap tools) has been very important for determining our new home page layout as well as items in the navigation and footer.

I recently discovered the Inventory area for links, sitemaps, phone numbers, etc. It helped in our latest redesign to bring some consistency to our pages and layouts.

"Raser Review - Digital Content Specialist using SiteImprove to improve accessibility!"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

I love that SiteImprove identifies visual references for where there is an issue. I use the tool to identify issues on research guides developed within the LibGuides platform. This platform has 25+ different editors doing all manner of things to their own pages. SiteImprove helps identify where I need to follow up with individual guide editors and how we can fix their sites! The biggest help here is how SiteImprove identifies broken links. Instead of going into hundreds of pages to find all manner of broken links, SiteImprove shows me which page to find and exactly where the issue is. So great! I also really love the grading feature (an easy way to share with stake holders how we are doing), and the "How to Fix" hover tools are brilliant.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

I'm unsure of any dislikes for SiteImprove. I love the grading feature (an easy way to share with stake holders how we are doing), and the "How to Fix" hover tools are brilliant. Maybe an improvement on the left side-nav bar, but that's all I can really think of at the moment. We also don't really use the SEO feature all that much, so maybe devise a way for admin users can turn on and off various tools that are possible?

Recommendations to others considering Siteimprove:

I would indeed recommend others to implement SiteImprove. My favorite feature is the visual reviews/scores for issues on our webpages. These scores help me share of our progress with other stake holders across our division and to help continue to make the case for improvement. I use these scores and the results on individual pages to improve accessibility, search engine optimization and quality assurance. I can devise customized plans to improve our pages and then help other content designers implement the changes. What's not to like!?

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use SiteImprove to search for and find broken links, accessibility issues, color contrast issues, etc. We review Springshare product pages (LibGuides, LibAnswers) and discover ways that the variety of our editors can improve their individual research guides. I can see all of the various problems that individual editors are having and devise customized training plans for each to assist.

"Well worth the money in many ways"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

We love being able to catch basic stuff like misspellings and broken links as well as targeting specific phrasing or links we need to update, as well as accessibility things we need to check.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

The interface can be a little clunky - how long it takes words to "disappear" when you mark spellings as correct, for instance - but nothing major.

Recommendations to others considering Siteimprove:

Figure out what pages you actually need to index and what you don't. It will save you a lot of money and you won't have to filter through results you don't need to act on.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a much cleaner and more professional user experience thanks to all the checks we can do!

"Great product for identifying and addressing accessibility issues"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

Siteimprove provides us with software scanning and manual user testing. We get to see what's wrong both on the backend (in code) and on the front-end through user experience. In addition, they provided resources and support to help you fix the issues. I have been very pleased with our experience.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

I would like to be able to set a time frame within the dashboard so that I can look at historical data. Currently the view shows most recent. You can hover over the graphs to view earlier dates but would be easier if you could just set the date you want.

Recommendations to others considering Siteimprove:

Great product and great company. Absolutely recommend it!

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

Siteimprove is helping us identify accessibility issues with our website. Through the use of the scanning software and manual testing we have learned how to design and program our site so that it is more accessible. This process has changed the way we handle the UX of our site updates, taking into consideration the experience of all users.

"They Made a Believer Out of Me!"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

Section 508 Accessibility Verification: Siteimprove takes what is necessarily a complex and nuanced specification and makes applying it to your website content a relatively simple and straightforward exercise. In what is easily Siteimprove's MOST complicated module, 'Accessibility', the compliance issues which SI discovers and the instructions to correct them are very straightforward, with links to WCAG 2.0 documentation and tutorial sites to help explain the references to those website issues, providing in most cases clear examples of both compliance and non-compliance of the particular accessibility-related issue, making it far easier to figure our how to correct than if you were left to your own devices.

For anyone tasked with managing 508 Compliance, Siteimprove is a GODSEND!

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

There's not a whole lot NOT to like, however I suppose one area which could stand a bit of improvement is the somewhat lack of depth in security roles available. Administrators have by default a wide range of permissions, some of which are perhaps TOO wide-ranging for an organization as large and sub-group-oriented as ours. Administrator role permissions are not changeable; however, an option which we could certainly use would be in addition to the default 'System' Administrator role, to be able to create a more restricted 'Group' Administrator, which would have Admin permissions, but only for the particular Group to which they were assigned.

Recommendations to others considering Siteimprove:

In my opinion, if you are looking for enterprise-level SEO and/or 508 Compliance/Accessibility tracking software, which easily integrates with both simple and complex Web CMS systems, there is no other choice than Siteimprove.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

Maintaining the SEO and Accessibility updates in a large state government website is a daunting task. Using Siteimprove to help in that effort is both time-saving and efficient, and I cannot imagine those tasks being performed as well via any other process.

The ability to allow the various state stakeholders to manage their own web sub-sites' SEO improvement, while we in the state's IT management group can deal with the more structurally-based 508/Accessibility issues within the CMS development-related arena is a tremendous benefit. This delegation of tasks has proved to make the entire process much more manageable for the entire organization.

"Siteimprove: A powerfull tool to manage web site QA, SEO and ADA Compliance"

What do you like best about Siteimprove?

Deeplinking from Siteimprove directly to content issues inside your CMS allows issues to be resolved precisely and quickly. Site issues are ranked in order of importance which allows you to focus on the most impactful improvements first. The reporting is comprehensive and exportable. Broken link reports and level of impact are superior.

What do you dislike about Siteimprove?

Manual inspection and clearance of ADA compliance issues, such as text on images, can be cumbersome to clear.

Recommendations to others considering Siteimprove:

Ask your Siteimprove rep for a site scan and trial. You will be glad you did.

What problems is Siteimprove solving and how is that benefiting you?

We increased our overall QA score from 67% to 96% in two weeks, which is about 20% better than industry standards. We are able to monitor and correct ADA Compliance issues quickly.
