"Versatile Platform, Needs Improved Publishing Speed"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

I like the security and governance features of the Sitecore Digital Experience Platform, as well as the analytics it offers. The content management system is effective, and it reduces the development effort needed for content updates. It creates better engagement for customers through personalization, and it's consistent across many platforms. The cross-channeling capability is also helpful. It's fast when it comes to time-to-market for new features and campaigns, which I find valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

I would say the publishing time needs improvement. AI powered personalization will be more helpful, like recommending content based on user behavior and predicting customer intent. Delivery time real-time personalization is a good thing to explore in this DXP. Also, improving the content authoring for faster performance would be good. Keyboard navigation validation, like access accessibility, can be improved as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A modern, powerful, agentic DXP platform."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

• Sitecore Pages: The revamped visual authoring interface is intuitive and fast, letting marketers build and preview experiences in real time without relying on developers for every tweak.

• Modern tech stack: Because XM Cloud is headless by design, we can use frameworks like Next.js and leverage Jamstack principles—resulting in faster sites, easier component reuse, and a smoother DevOps pipeline.

• SaaS agility: Upgrades, scalability, and global delivery are handled for us, so we spend our time innovating instead of maintaining infrastructure.

• Composable freedom: XM Cloud fits neatly into a best-of-breed architecture—integrating with CDPs, DAMs, and personalization tools—while still giving us the legendary Sitecore content model we know and love.

• Deploy App: It's really easy to managed XM Cloud Instances!

In short, XM Cloud keeps everything that made Sitecore powerful, but removes the heavy lifting of on-prem or PaaS hosting and unlocks the speed and flexibility modern teams expect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

• Missing Multilist with Search field: Editors still have to scroll through long, unfiltered lists. At scale this becomes unmanageable and undermines the otherwise modern authoring experience.

• Performance overhead: Resolving big Multilists in getStaticProps can slow page builds / google lighthouse performance. We’ve mitigated this by writing a custom Page Props plug-in that loads only the referenced fields, but an out-of-the-box optimization (e.g., server-side search, lazy loading, or virtualised lists) would benefit every team.

• Desired outcome: Native Multilist with Search plus OOTB props-level caching or flattening so large lists don’t affect performance.

• Basic workflow, page-level only: The built-in workflow is great for simple publish approvals but lacks granular, component- or content-item-level states, branching paths, timed gates, and external system integrations. Editorial teams with complex governance need more nuanced, configurable workflows.

These features do exist in the classic Content Editor, but they haven’t yet been surfaced in the new, modern authoring experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We're glad to hear that you find the revamped visual authoring interface intuitive and fast, and that the SaaS agility and composable freedom have been beneficial for your team. We appreciate your feedback on the missing Multilist with Search field and the performance overhead, and we'll definitely take that into consideration for future improvements.

"Powerful Centralized Content Management with Advanced Personalization and Analytics"
5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

The most helpful aspect of Sitecore DXP is its ability to centralize complex content management with sophisticated personalization. The integration between the CMS and the experience analytics allows for a holistic view of the customer journey. For an enterprise team, the granular control over the UI/UX across multiple regions and languages is a massive upside, as it ensures brand consistency while allowing for local flexibility. It significantly improves workflow by providing a single source of truth for high-performance marketing assets Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

While Sitecore is powerful, the complexity of the UI/UX can lead to a steep learning curve for new marketing users. The platform requires significant technical overhead for initial setup and custom integrations, which can impact the speed of onboarding. Additionally, because it is so robust, performance can sometimes lag if the infrastructure isn't perfectly optimized, making it feel heavy compared to more agile, headless alternatives. Streamlining the administrative interface would greatly improve daily efficiency for non-technical teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Marcus Cooper-Leary of Sitecore Digital Experience...

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that the complexity of the UI/UX and the technical overhead for setup and integrations can be challenging. We appreciate your input and will continue to work on improving the platform's usability and performance.

"Strong Personalization and Content Management with Sitecore DXP"
5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

What I like best about Sitecore DXP is how it connects content with personalization. You can manage reusable content and components, then use visitor behavior, goals, and rules to show more relevant experiences to different users. It gives marketers more control while still keeping the site structured and scalable for developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

One downside is that Sitecore can be hard to learn at first because it has many products, features, and settings. Even with the SaaS version, teams may need time to understand how content, personalization, analytics, and integrations work together. For older Sitecore setups, upgrades and migrations can also take extra planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Marcus Cooper-Leary of Sitecore Digital Experience...

We're thrilled to hear about your positive experience with Sitecore Digital Experience Platform! It's great to hear that you find the XM Cloud intuitive and the performance excellent. We appreciate your feedback about the pricing and documentation, and we'll certainly take that into consideration for future improvements.

"Sitecore: Powerful CMS and DMS with strong AI capability within one platform"
5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

Sitecore Digital Experience Platform is one of the best platform to manage any enterprise level content management system with inbuilt analytics through Sitecore XP or headless composable stack like Sitecore Personalize and CDP. So it gives the organization a centralized place to manage all this stuffs. Not only, this features, it also help with making enterprise level security readily available to user through permissions workflows etc. Now Sitecore AI with agentic studio is game changer in terms of integrating modern front end stack with backend contents through microservice api like rest and layout endpoints. So its a full suite readily available to you to make you website go live with all needed features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

I strongly believe that Sitecore AI product really lacks forms which are core feature for any website. Earlier Sitecore XP was having Sitecore Forms which was very good in terms of development as well as from extension point but XM Cloud forms are very basic and in real world that is not that useful. Content Hub is one of the good product in DAM ecosystem but documentation its very generic and lack useful information which can be improved. AI and agentic world which is evolving should also have more concrete examples with some real use cases which can help organization to take idea and propose to their client for any ROI Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Marcus Cooper-Leary of Sitecore Digital Experience...

We're sorry to hear about your concerns regarding Sitecore AI and the lack of robust forms. Your feedback is valuable to us and we will take it into consideration for future improvements. We are committed to enhancing our products to better meet the needs of our users.

"Stable, Scalable, and Easy to Customize"
5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

I like Sitecore Digital Experience Platform because it offers ease of use and contains all the DXP features generally needed for any client. The inline editing in Headless and the Page builder are particularly impressive. I also appreciate how easily it integrates with other products like CDP, Personalize, and AI-based search. The recent AI features are very helpful. I find the platform stable and scalable, with a robust API that allows easy customization and an open architecture for required changes. The support service and documentation provided by Sitecore are commendable, and it has stable releases that scale easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

Agentic studio workflow agents' documentation and provide at least one sample for each system like CMS, Personalize, CDP, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Marketers with Intuitive Tools, Needs Better CRM Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

I like that the Sitecore Digital Experience Platform is a user-friendly tool for marketers, as it avoids the need for developer interaction for web updates. It's great that marketers can easily make content updates and access the media library to update media, and even drag and drop fields to build small marketing forms for user inputs, minimizing delay and dependency on developers. I appreciate the personalization features, allowing us to tailor content based on user location, role, or interests, which helps in drawing more attention and getting users to spend more time on our content. Compared to other CMS platforms like WordPress and Umbraco, Sitecore offers more marketer-friendly tools with its drag-and-drop functionality, enabling marketers to author content and manage personalization easily. I definitely value that. The detailed documentation and large community support make the initial setup relatively straightforward. Lastly, I would definitely recommend Sitecore Digital Experience Platform, giving it a 10 out of 10 rating, as it is the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

"Easy to use and customize. Great options to deliver personalised experiences"
4/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

The backend user interface is easy to use for our marketing teams, both in terms of basic content creation as well as some of the more advanced features that allow authors to personalize elements to different audiences.

As a developer, extensibility is a real strength of the product. If something is not available out of the box, then the steps required to customise a new feature follow similar patterns across the platform. There is also a large community of developers who love the product and are happy to help with any issues.

One of the main selling points is the ability to profile users as they navigate the site, then be able to target content accordingly. With such a diverse volume of data contained within a site, anything that can be done to help the user find the information they require is a real benefit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

Over the last few years, there has been a large push to make the product more composable, but at the cost of further development of the original product. All products/features now come as new services or modules that need to be purchased at a significant cost. Whilst I appreciate they are a business and need to make returns on their investments, this leaves long standing customers who are not able to further invest; left with a product with less new features. "Sitecore’s All-in-One Ecosystem Powers Advanced Personalization Across Channels"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

One of Sitecore's strongest capabilities is combining content management, personalization, customer data, and marketing automation in a single ecosystem. This allows organizations to deliver tailored experiences across websites, email, mobile apps, and other digital channels.

Sitecore is particularly known for its advanced personalization features. Teams can customize content based on user behavior, geography, device type, referral source, customer profile, and more, helping create highly relevant experiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

Sitecore is primarily designed for enterprise organizations and often involves a significant investment. The total cost of ownership typically includes licensing fees, cloud infrastructure, implementation services, ongoing maintenance, and the need for specialized developer training and expertise. As a result, cost is frequently cited as one of the key considerations when evaluating the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
