"Friendly UI That Bridges Marketing and Tech"
5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

The best part about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform is how the UI is friendly for marketeers and bridges the gap between Tech and Marketing.

From a customer perspective, Sitecore Digital Experience Platforms allow companies to meet the customer where they are, rather than bringing customers to what the brand wants to show. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

I don’t have any dislikes at all about Sitecore AI, which we recently transitioned to. With Sitecore XM, there were a few limitations—especially the lack of direct visibility into content changes and the need to keep toggling between the UAT environments and the CMS to confirm that updates were reflecting the way they should. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Marcus Cooper-Leary of Sitecore Digital Experience...

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Sitecore Digital Experience Platform. We're pleased to hear that you have not encountered any dislikes with Sitecore AI and that it has helped you overcome limitations you experienced with Sitecore XM.

"Sitecore DXP: Scalable, Integrated Platform for Personalized Experiences"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

What I like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform is its ability to bring together content management, personalization, and digital experience capabilities within a single enterprise platform.

UI / UX: The platform provides content authors and marketers with intuitive tools for managing content and delivering consistent experiences across channels, while offering flexibility for creating modern user experiences.

Integrations: Sitecore integrates well with enterprise ecosystems, including CRM, marketing automation, analytics, commerce, and custom business applications, making it easier to create connected customer journeys.

Performance: The platform is highly scalable and capable of supporting large volumes of content and traffic when properly architected, making it suitable for enterprise-level digital experiences.

Pricing / ROI: While Sitecore represents a significant investment, its broad feature set, scalability, and ability to consolidate multiple digital experience capabilities into a single platform can deliver strong long-term value and operational efficiencies.

Support / Onboarding: Sitecore provides comprehensive documentation, training resources, and partner support, helping teams accelerate onboarding and adopt platform best practices.

AI / Intelligence: The continued investment in AI-powered capabilities, including content optimization, personalization, and productivity enhancements, helps organizations improve customer engagement and enables teams to work more efficiently.

Overall, Sitecore's combination of flexibility, enterprise scalability, integration capabilities, and growing AI features makes it a strong platform for delivering personalized digital experiences at scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

While Sitecore is a powerful enterprise platform, there are several areas where the experience could be improved:

UI / UX: Some administrative and authoring interfaces can feel complex and fragmented, resulting in a steeper learning curve for new users and requiring additional training for content teams.

Integrations: Although Sitecore offers extensive integration capabilities, implementing and maintaining integrations can require significant development effort, particularly when connecting multiple third-party platforms and services.

Performance: Achieving optimal performance often requires careful architecture, infrastructure tuning, and ongoing maintenance. Performance troubleshooting can sometimes be challenging due to the number of interconnected components involved.

Pricing / ROI: Licensing, infrastructure, and implementation costs can be substantial, making it difficult for organizations to fully realize ROI without significant adoption and utilization of the platform's capabilities.

Support / Onboarding: While support quality is generally good, resolution times for complex technical issues can vary. Onboarding new teams often requires a considerable investment in training and platform-specific expertise.

AI / Intelligence: AI capabilities are improving, but there is still an opportunity for deeper native AI integration, more mature content-generation workflows, and clearer guidance on how organizations can effectively adopt and operationalize AI features.

Overall, the primary challenges relate to platform complexity, cost, and the effort required to implement, operate, and fully leverage the platform in large enterprise environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Marcus Cooper-Leary of Sitecore Digital Experience...

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand the importance of user-friendly interfaces and streamlined integrations. We continuously work to enhance the platform's usability and integration capabilities to provide a more intuitive and efficient experience for our users.

"Developer Review on Sitecore Experience Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

What I like most about Sitecore DXP is its ability to bring content management, personalization, marketing capabilities, and headless delivery together in a single enterprise platform.

Over the years, I've worked on large-scale Sitecore implementations, and one thing I've consistently appreciated is how flexible the platform is. Whether it's integrating with external systems, supporting multi-site and multi-language deployments, implementing custom business workflows, or adopting modern headless architectures with JSS and Next.js, Sitecore provides the extensibility needed for complex enterprise requirements.

I also value how Sitecore has evolved from a traditional CMS into a complete Digital Experience Platform. Features like personalization, analytics, XM Cloud, Content Hub, and composable architecture enable organizations to deliver better digital experiences while giving developers and content authors the flexibility they need.

From a technical perspective, the most rewarding aspect has been solving complex business problems on Sitecore while maintaining scalability, performance, and governance across enterprise environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

One challenge I've experienced with Sitecore is the platform's complexity and the steep learning curve associated with its ecosystem. Over the years, Sitecore has evolved significantly, and developers are now expected to understand not only the CMS itself but also headless development, XM Cloud, Content Hub, serialization, CLI, GraphQL, DevOps pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.

Another challenge is that many organizations use only a subset of Sitecore's capabilities. As a result, developers can spend years working primarily on content management and custom development while having limited exposure to advanced DXP features such as personalization, analytics, marketing automation, and composable products. This sometimes creates a gap between what the platform offers and what teams actually implement.

I also feel that Sitecore's frequent product evolution requires continuous upskilling. While innovation is positive, keeping up with new architectures, deployment models, and products can be demanding for development teams.

That said, these challenges are largely a reflection of Sitecore's breadth as an enterprise platform rather than shortcomings in the product itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful CMS tool with built in connector for Sitecore DAM."
5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

The ease of personalisation for content authors and the flexibility in customisation for developers. The experience platform allows content authors to do real time live editing of the webpage and its very user friendly, just by having basic knowledge of the application can allow content authors to create personalised content for users based on their needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

I don’t exactly dislike it, but compared with other products, this one also needs an upgrade, and the process was tedious. Now with XM cloud which is SAAS this major problem is solved. I am yet to upgrade our website to XM cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful platform for large websites, but comes with a steep learning curve"
5/5
What do you like best about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

Sitecore makes managing complex websites and content really smooth. I like how easy it is to customize user experiences and handle multiple languages or sites from one place. It’s reliable, flexible, and gives us complete control over how our digital content looks and performs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sitecore Digital Experience Platform?

The system has a steep learning curve and can feel overly complex, especially for non-technical users. Setting it up and maintaining it usually requires specialized developer knowledge, which makes simple updates take longer than expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Marcus Cooper-Leary of Sitecore Digital Experience...

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Sitecore's capabilities in managing complex websites and content. It comes best in use when I assist any business as the platform allows centralized content management. This enables the business owner to keep their documents updated and reach out to us with relevant data so that I can assist them better. To add further, its AI integration has helped in staying up to date with the resources accross all the channels. Its very conventient to locate policies so thats a plus and the best thing that works for me is that it helps me offer a tailored experience to influencers and creators, more so when dealing with complicating account queries.
