What do you like best about Site3D?

The ability to alter/change information rapidly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Site3D?

The inability to edit a longitudinal section. I would prefer to set fixed points along the vertical profile and offset the existing line as a whole, so I can make sure a typical level above the existing ground will be met when necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Site3D Review"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Site3D?

Like most other programs, when you watch the demo videos, Site3D looks easy to use, simple to learn and powerful. Unlike most other programs, it actually is as good as it looks.

The main command icons are arranged sensibly, making it easy to tackle each design step in turn. Initially, this appears like there are a lack of tools however it's so intuitive to use that it only shows you what you need at the time. 21 main menu buttons allow you to carry out hundreds of tasks, using the same principles for each element. I'm sure we've all used programs with hundreds of buttons with no great benefit.

No need for expensive and time consuming training courses. If you can't figure something out, there are plenty of well organised tutorial videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Site3D?

The fact we didn't start using it sooner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful tool for quick and accurate design of site."

What do you like best about Site3D?

I like the interactive features of this tool that helps me deliver projects in a fraction of time of traditional systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Site3D?

when you modify one aspect of the design, all the knock-on effects are automatically calculated and applied. However this may not be a big problem to many people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for the novice & casual user"
4/5
What do you like best about Site3D?

I really liked the quick learning curve. I was able to learn & complete a proposed subdivision project in a short amount of time thanks to Site3d. Being a casual user the month by month payment option is a huge benefit! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Site3D?

It just needs a bit of tweaking to accommodate Australian nomenclature and presentation formats especially in regards to the longitudinal sections as I found this difficult to customise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ease of use, great price point"
5/5
What do you like best about Site3D?

Site 3D’s easy user interface is very simple to negotiate and manoeuvre around. It’s flexible payment structure and keen price point are essential for a small practice like mine, where price is the key consideration. Using Site 3D has saved me a lot of time in producing long sections for Clients and to include drainage long section details - something which I produced manually as many drainage packages were prohibitively expensive. One of the best things that I have found has been their support after purchase. Whenever I had a few teething problems, they were more than glad to help me out - indeed asking for the specific technical details so they could be proactive about solving common user issues. All in all if definitely recommend Site 3D, bey easy to use, keenly priced and particularly for a smaller practice like mine, does everything that you will need and more!!! "SITE3D - Review - Nearly Perfect"
5/5
What do you like best about Site3D?

Ease of use and clear fast real time workflow.

Ability to render 3D on iMAC with Parallels (Windows). (Most programs won't as the video codecs etc say cannot work.

Support from the software team is excellent. Very personable and not like the big corporate software suppliers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Site3D?

Would like to be able to increase Icon size. (I use a 5K video monitor so graphics are pin sharp but menus are small. I have come across the occasional glitch with levels on triangulations disappearing into the depths of the z-axis but I do think most of the short comings are down to my own skill in using this software.

One issue that I have come across with roundabout designs is the ability to compromise adopted design standards. I refer to those that lie outside roundabout design standards e.g. compound curves on exits / entries and the smaller tweaks you need to do in detailed design to fit designs into real world constraints. Again it may be my lack of experience with Site 3d but it is easy to push your site3d design into autocad so you can "draw" changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Site3D?

2D to 3D conversion.

Simple ground profile tool

Ease of horizontal and vertical carriageway design.

Earthworks tool for pond design Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Site3D?

No downsides. Only comments would be, could the drainage trench lines be split into SW and FW. Is it possible to adjust the top of pond levels (top of bank), rather than set a single level or gradient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"New user, soon be an expert."
5/5
What do you like best about Site3D?

Easy to learn and use. The program has its limitations but for designing highways and drainage etc to recognised design standards it's brilliant. New features are being added and they are very responsive to new ideas and requests. Doesn't need a super computer to run it and can import/export with many different design packages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Site3D?

When the architect's layout is something out of the ordinary it can be tricky to build a suitable alignment. Something like pds is more flexible but takes so, so, much longer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
