**What problems is SingleStore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Major advantage we had was that we didn't have to download different Db client for different databases

I would suggest them to make the physical persistence more robust.

**What do you dislike about SingleStore?**

The physical persistence is not as robust as I would have liked to.

**What problems is SingleStore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Real-time data pipeline to build large look up ability before sending it over to hadoop. Cluster.

Fast insert and update data volums

**What do you dislike about SingleStore?**

No foreign keys (at least as a hint) to allow distributing tables which share the same key at the same nodes.

**What problems is SingleStore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Real-time Querying a big data volume

**Official Response from Rob Richardson:**

> Fast ingest is the name of the game. Are you struggling with partition keys or reference tables to make joined data fast? Reach out to community@memsql.com so we can learn more about your scenarios.

  ### 5. MemSQL - MySQL companion

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Franck L. | CEO, Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2018

**What do you like best about SingleStore?**

- Speed : Aggregate queries are very fast.
- Disk Compression: CS engine compresses data 60 to 80% on avg.
- Drop-in Solution : Low learning curve if you come from MySQL background
- Pipelines: Easiest and fastest way to ingest data . Automatically detect new data in S3 buckets.

**What do you dislike about SingleStore?**

- Lack of DB Performance monitoring: MemSQL should provide Percona PMM dashboard type of monitoring with explanation of the metrics being monitors and action to take. SolarWind for MySQL is also excellent at aggregating queries over time.

**Recommendations to others considering SingleStore:**

If you are doing aggregates, have large log type tables, or need real time analytics using a "mysql" friendly environment, you should look at MemSQL. It's a great product (Sr Mysql DBA for > 10 years).
MemSQL Support is excellent. They can help you optimize your queries and make sure your system is properly configured. The 2 days on-boarding Professional Service is also a nice add-on.
I would also recommend the training. Videos are available for download, perfect for going back to them and refresh your MemSQL knowledge.

**What problems is SingleStore solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Migrate heavy write log type table from Mysql to MemSQL
- Intensive geo location queries
- Real Time Analytics : Aggregates for our applications.

**Official Response from Rob Richardson:**
