"Perspective from a student"
What do you like best about SimScale?

Very easy to use and good looking user interface. The manual makes the interpretation of the data clear. The ability to import from Onshape is useful as it is what is used most at my univeristy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

In the modal analysis there isn't an option to do a free body. Quite alot of the tutorials online are outdated and aren't relevant or aren't as easy to translate into the new user interface/ features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent for those looking for cloud-based simulation!"
What do you like best about SimScale?

SimScale has a user-friendly interface which makes it very conveniently for those who are relatively new for simulations. The fact that users can perform simulations entirely within their web browser and it doesn't require any local installation or dedicated hardware makes it amazing. Besides, detailed documentations and several tutorials are available for additional assistance to users; and, their customer support is excellent too! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

Everything looks great and there is really nothing I dislike so far! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SimScale CFD: Powerful Cloud-Based Simulation Pros and Cons"
What do you like best about SimScale?

Wide range of simulation can be performed, user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

Requires development in CAD edit features, advanced editing options should be made enable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing experience! I have never used such wonderful and powerful tool for conducting simulations"
What do you like best about SimScale?

It is simple and very intuitive to use. There is plenty study material you can use to learn, and chat assistant is wonderful (I got to speak with an actual person in a matter of minutes). The way everything is layout is perfect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

The CAD features are bit limited. If you are needing to any conplex regions to test non-uniform geometries it is easier to simplify important them along with your model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very helpful tool to rapidly set up a Simulation"
What do you like best about SimScale?

Using Simscale has to basic advantages: easy to import CAD and create a valid computational model in very short time. Runtime is handled transparently without much worries about computational resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

In general the issues are not from SimScale platfom, but for the lack of modeling capabilities from OpenFoam, or maybe certain options have not yet been completely integrated. For instance it would be helpful to turn on an off certain features (MRF, Heat Source) using temperature sensors point in the field. This feature is quite important in Heat Transfer analysis. Also Transient flows are extremely slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Using SIMSCALE as a novice"
What do you like best about SimScale?

It is great to be able to use SIMSCALE as a novice (Community Plan). Using it for simulating the wind around traditional windmills. As a novice I have questions, and the SIMSCALE support team is patient and helps you forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

It is a pity that the Pedestrian Wind Comfort (PWC) is not available from the Community Plan (I can understand that, but still a pity). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Somewhat slow, but effective"
What do you like best about SimScale?

I like the post process analysis tools, to help visualize velocity and pressure profiles. Animations are also awesome Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

I didn't like how long it took for mesh's to generate and simulations to run Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perception from a beginner level engineer"
What do you like best about SimScale?

The most valuable for me is a technical support that gives you a solid explanation in case you need a help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

A smaller number of modules compared to competitors, I believe it is a question of time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast simulation tool for product development"
What do you like best about SimScale?

Simscale is an easy tool for simulation in product development. I often use it for CFD and FEM simulation in business.

The support of the team is extraordanary. Fast, competent and always available when needed.

Models for the simulation can be easy exported out of the CAD tool we are using. Modifications of the model can be done in Simscale directly and the modified model can be downloaded as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

I like the product. Nothing to complain about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy and accessible CFD tool"
What do you like best about SimScale?

As someone who is new to CFD simulations I found simsccale easy to learn. The workflow is straightforward and prevents user errors. Simulations run fast depending on the geometry and settings. The post process results have many filters and tools for detailed anaysis. using this tool has helped build a lot of my confidence as an engineer in thermofluid part design. If i have any questions the support team quickly reposnds and provides a video going over their suggestions which is super helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

Some of the drawbacks are when simulating complex geometry specifically parts designed in nTopology. Sometimes there can be isssues meshing or the UI can be a slow to shopw results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
