"Nice and easy to use simulation program in the cloud"
What do you like best about SimScale?

Simscale is easy to use and you can run your simulations in the cloud. This is nice because you can remain work or shut down your computer while the simulation is still running. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

No dislikes found yet during use of Simscale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool for web based interface and simulation experience"
What do you like best about SimScale?

The web interface is really nice. It is smooth and even for complex geometry it is Easy to run simulations. Since this is web based, The feature to collaborate is also something that is very powerful if you are working in groups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

More customised feature are needed but that is definitely something that can be added with time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My first experience with CFD simulation.."
What do you like best about SimScale?

I liked easy to learn interferace and tutorials even available with free version. Also i would like to appreciate awesome support team to ve being prompt on replies regarding question. All you need is simscale and little patience then you would conquer world of cfd.. "Very engaging and has alot of enhanced features to share with the user."
What do you like best about SimScale?

The fact that this platform supports a wide variety of simulation types! including structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics this was used in my projects which was great, which makes it a versatile tool for different engineering disciplines like chemical and mechanical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

Due to its performative limits, this cloud infrastructure can handle large simulations, there may still be performance limits compared to high-end local workstations, especially for extremely complex or large-scale simulations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use online simulation"
What do you like best about SimScale?

It is very easy to import CAD files from local storage or online (I use Onshape for example). Even when the CAD is imported, the editing tools on SimScale are good enough to modify anything to match what it wants for the simulation to run.

There is a good spectrum of simulation methods and types, and they are easy to setup and run. For my use, I have students running simulations, and the fact that I can access their models online makes troubleshooting and verifying them easier than trying to send files back and forth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

Online obviously has its downsides if you don't have internet access to view and run the model. Help/tutorials are a little lacking so setting some simulations up for the first time can lead to errors until you poke around in the various settings for a bit. "Very versatile CFD software for architects"
What do you like best about SimScale?

Simscale is a very powerful CFD software for architects. They have built in feature allow us to study pedestrian wind comfort and thermal comfort to help effectively inform the design.

In addition, simscale is pretty forgiving in term of accepting different types of geometries.

You can also expand the capability through their API and SDK package.

In addition, Simscale team is very helpful in and very responsive in communication to help troubleshoot and answering questions about their platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

Graphic and view control is something that Simscale could improve.

It's quite cumbersome to navigate and control view inside Simscale webapp, especially when you want to align view from different simulations.

In addition, there are now limited color options for color legend. It would be more useful to have an option to build your own color scheme. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good introduction to CFD"
What do you like best about SimScale?

Best about simscale is the simple ui/ux design to help newcomers to CFD and simulations, which can be intimidating when using more raw options like APDL or raw OpenFoam Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SimScale?

Sometimes it can be too simplistic, sometimes I could not find mathematical explanations for some of the calculation options, like the rotation zone in an incompressible axial fan analysis. Thankfully I could ask a teacher about it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
