S3D is pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it. I chose it initially for ease of changing multiple layers and layer heights throughout a print to speed it up. I dislike the lack of updates and the fact that many free and open source slicers have caught up and surpassed it in terms of capabilities. I still use S3D out of familiarity though. It really needs some new features and supports, more custom infill patterns, some live views, maybe a sort of printer timeline to be able to insert pauses and things if you need to insert something like a nut into a print.
