Sometimes, it's a little difficult to weed through the volume of product help and tutorials...At first there is almost sensory overload of information. If it were a little more checklist oriented for new users, it would be easier to understand how to get started with SimpleDB. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a main focus we must highlight the high availability of NoSQL databases. This Amazon service is also quite secure so we can use sensitive information. Compared to other database services in the cloud, this is a very competitive price. It is also a very easy to use service, optimized for performance. There are no big points to criticize negatively also for still using the service in relatively little time. I just think they should provide more features to test though for a limited time for the customer to be able to set up a functional database and thus verify that switching to this service would make their service faster. Amazon makes accessing a DB really just as its name states, Simple. I have been able to build out Databases in minutes and get them working in the cloud very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is a little bit of a learning curve with all of Amazon's products and it seems like their navigation changes quite frequently. Once you get comfortable enough with the product, SimpleDB gets better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm a project manager and my team ha used this for the last application we stood up. We already were utilizing AWS, so the choice to utilize Simple DB went through our ARB quickly as the recommended solution. What I've found most appealing from my standpoint is the reduced risk and maintenance for the solution. Based off of the feedback from the team, i've had no issues with Simple DB. It works as expected and the Database admins were able to get up to speed during the design phase of the project to be able to set up and maintain as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like about Amazon SimpleDB is that it offers a simple web services interface to create and store several data sets, easily consult the data and obtain the results of those queries. The data is indexed automatically, which facilitates and speeds up the search for information. It is not necessary to predefine or change schemas if data is added later. There is nothing that you do not like. It is very easy to use and very efficient. Not only that, the most amazing thing is that new and existing customers receive 25 hours of SimpleDB machine and 1 GB of free storage every month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With AWS you can skip a lot of the configuration steps that you would have to do otherwise you would have to spend a lot more time getting everything together. Its alot harder to use and setup than say Google's firebase. Also its kind of difficult to really get a good idea of estimated cost that you will be charged per month of use unless you really know certain things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the security of data provided by amazon web service. I always store my private data with Amazon web service. I always like to use this for AI or Machine Learning.
