**What do you like best about Simon AI?**

Easy to train and teach other employees.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

Would love added features.  I would love to be able to adjust a send date of a recurring campaign if our marketing team decides it needs to go out on a different day.  I would also love to see a skip refresh button for if there is a delay and something needs to go out we could push it on our own so we don't have to have the support team by-pass the refresh for us.

We are able to automate campaigns which was very important when choosing a cdp

Smooth UI experience, Simon is one of the best platforms I used, it is a complex platform but really easy to use and understand what should I do

And the tech support is really quick and nice, they are not reply like a machine, they do look into your issue and try their best to help you

The zoom in/out using trackpad is really hard to use, hope they could change it to normal

**What do you like best about Simon AI?**

The unifcation of the customer data on one platofrm, data lakes for scalibility, connectivity with third parties, customer journeys, SMS and Paid Media, and Mail capabilities. They also have a wonderful support staff in case you need assistance. Plus data intergation is simple and can be done in many ways including real time.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

I'm not too fond of jinja code but do like that you have a generator.

Unification of customer data on one platform allows us to personalize messaging to drive business results

user journeys, SMS and paid media, and mail are all built into a single platform. Need help? Their customer service is great. It's easy and quick to ask questions of data.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

Our biggest issue is the trip planner. Great that Simon acknowledges this, and they'll modify this functionality in the coming months.

Marketers can deliver more relevant and personalized messages to their audience, leading to higher engagement and conversion rates.

**What do you like best about Simon AI?**

There are a decent amount of nice features that Simon Data has over other ESPs, such as when you click on a part of the email design, it will jump you to that specific line of code for you to edit. The Simon team is also there to help with tasks such as auditing existing journeys and campaigns to make sure it's optimized within Simon, etc.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

There are a lot of unknown and undocumented issues that you may run into where even the Simon team is not sure of what is causing them. 

There also isn't necessarily a Simon Data "academy" for new users to learn, although there are some website pages that are supposed to help you get the gist of the product. Instead, the Simon team will probably schedule time to demo different product features.

**What problems is Simon AI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simon Data allowed customer data to be more streamlined from our email campaigns to our analytics teams, so it solves the issue of needing a whole separate CDP from our ESP and needing to pipe data.

The best thing about the Simon team is that they are always able to come up with a solution to any issue we find. The Simon team also consistently responds to any questions we have in a timely manner. They are always looking to improve our experience with the platform and have helped us to more efficiently segment our email contacts.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

The journey builder is a place where we find the most friction. Luckily, this is something Simon is aware of and they are revamping this feature in the coming months.

**What problems is Simon AI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are constantly looking for ways to simplify our complicated email segments. With the help of the team we were able to cut down on some of the pieces in the segment builder which allowed for the platform to run faster.

**What do you like best about Simon AI?**

My favorite part about Simon Data is the seamless integration with Google Ads. The product allows frequent updating of my first-party data, which has advanced my data strategy and allowed me to improve my audience funneling systems without unnecessary work and extra steps. It has been quick and easy and served all of my needs!

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

I can't think of any major downsides! The product functions in exactly the way that I had hoped it would. It has streamlined my audience data integration to my marketing channels.

Simon data is providing tools to streamline my audience marketing strategy, specifically through its integration with Google advertising. It's helping to connect my internal data with the ad platform and creating stronger customer journeys and remarketing.

the UI is pretty intuitive, I'm new to the platform and don't have a lot of trouble moving around to find the right datasets, mostly use it for the data so that's the scoper of my experience.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

Though the platform is intuitive, I havn't done my research but haven't found a great setup program that gets you up and running/up to speed with how the platform works and just ease the learning curve required for someone who doesn't know anything prior.

it helps us give our clients a better email creation experience, automating a few menial tasks and building useful emails. It helps us also look at the data and cross reference with other data for analyzation purposes.

One of the main features of Simon Data is its ability to integrate with different data sources, this allows the creation of personalized email campaigns, and also offers great analytics and reporting features

It would be great to have the ability to include more than one segment in the flow builder, so you can include more contacts based on existing segments, and also improve the search options on the content page as is on the flow page

**What do you like best about Simon AI?**

Simon Data allows us to easily build audience segmentation from our database and create datasets for usage across end-channels (i.e.  email distribution, Sales outreach, Paid Media, surveys, etc.)

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

The only pain points we have with Simon Data is the data refreshes and lag time. Rather than build and push datasets in real team, we are sometimes delayed by waiting for the scheduled times that the data syncs.

**Recommendations to others considering Simon AI:**

Simon Data's UX/UI design is very intuitive, makes the tool easy to use, and allows end users to catch on quickly. As well, Simon's service is top notch and has been hugely helpful to our team's success. We could not function as well as we do as a Marketing team without Simon Data.

**What problems is Simon AI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company, prospect, and member data is dispersed across various systems, and Simon Data easily allows us to build segmentation with data from the varying sources and easily utilize in campaigns. This is huge for our team and allows the process for deployment to be almost seamless.

**What do you like best about Simon AI?**

The team at Simon Data is simply the best. They are always there to support you and help keep your team moving forward. They're experts in what they do, and they're great guides and teachers in the space to help you problem-solve by looking at the issues from different angles.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

Simon Data definitely does have great capabilities, but sometimes it feels like I am unable to use the platform to it's fullest capabilities. While no platform is perfect, I would have liked the UI to be a little more intuitive to use. It can be difficult to analyze the data if you're not directly within an analyst role. However, I do know they do their best to teach you as needed so you eventually come to learn the platform more familiarly.

The platform has great data capabilities. It allows us to really dive deep and understand behaviors from the past and present. That value of that is irreplaceable as a brand. Simon Data also actually located an issue from our partners within another platform, and they have been extremely helpful in helping us resolve that issue with our developers. They're always looking out for you!

The segmentation capability is very easy to use and can be flexible to all of our use cases. The team are also great and very supporting when we need them.

It would be great to have some insights features that allow for reviewing over time. The insights that SimonData can provide are great but they can only be seen in the present moment.

The potential for more granular segmentation appears to be there versus the previous platform we were using. This is to be determined.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

Lots of bugs and time-out sessions (at least through Segments). Basic things, such as reporting, had to be requested through meetings with the Simon team we're working with or through the ticketing system within Support Center. Features such as Link Activity were not even available to us until recently. There were huge discrepancies between numbers from Segments and Campaign Metrics. This appears to be resolved now; however, now flows that were once showing up in Segments are not appearing.

My anticipation is that Simon will allow us to be more granular with our segmentation.

All the different features with Simon! Almost on a daily basis, we're looking to see if emails bounced or were opened; when they were opened, we are also able to gauge whether our subject lines are effective at encouraging engagement.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

Right now nothing that I think of. SO many great applications for this platform! I couldn't think of a way to improve it at this time, as it currently meets all our needs!

**What problems is Simon AI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to confirm if emails have been received or bounced, saving us the time of resending emails that are presumed missed, and we're able to guide the recipients to check spam or filters they may have for emails than resending. We're also able to identify if an email address needs to be fixed to prevent future issues.

I love working with Sami the best! She is so helpful and willing to step in whenever I need her to solve a problem I am having. The process of learning and using Simon has been extremely easy since joining the organization.

There has not been anything I have experienced yet that I dislike. If I had to name something, I guess it would be the learning curve of understanding how to build audiences but Sami and her team make that pretty seamless with their help.

Simon Data is helping me get audiences for FB targeting seamlessly. In this world of IOS14, first party data is king but accessing that is not always the easiest so Simon Data has allowed me to pull this information myself at a breeze.

The interface is very easy to use once your data is in Simon. Segementation is very easy and the integration with SFMC is easy.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

Getting data into Simon requires expertise and problem shooting as well as back-end assistance. Simon only allows one primary key which can make integration tricky for certain data extensions, SFMC allows multiple primary keys. Resolution is very slow when issues need to be escalated to higher level support beyond the support team assigned to our account. Also assigned support team isn't great about giving updates on where the resolution is.

Easy segmentation for team members with limited technical knowledge.

Some functionality requires an advanced understanding. Things do often malfunction which makes it hard to accomplish tasks and the tool is definitely still developing.

The best part about Simon is the many platforms it's integrated with for a seamless connection to ensure our first-party data is managed efficiently and effectively, as well as it's ease of use.

In my opinion, I don't have anything I don't like or anything that can be better. I work with this platform because it was company issued by our IT department, and I'm glad it is.

Having to worry about data not transferring over to platforms is not an issue with Simon. Organizing/versioning out data is easily accessible with Simon Data as your CDP. Being that there is no coding involved and it's cross channel - this alone has solved my past issues with other CDPs.

The Simon Data UI is simple and easy to use, and their support teams are always quick to respond and help troubleshoot if any issues arise. The platform helps our business analytics team collaborate with our marketing teams to ensure that we can create customer segmentation easily and accurately.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

As a marketer, sometimes it is difficult to tell where the data is coming from in the segment builder without having an analyst or someone with SQL knowledge to help walk you through the queries in the datasets section of the platform. That said, I know that recently Simon Data has added functionality that shows you the relationships between segments and datasets, which significantly helps locate where the data is sourced.

We use Simon Data as a data platform to help move our data and information from our DB/data warehouse into other marketing platforms. We use it not only for segmentation and targeting in our marketing campaigns but also for moving personalized information to provide the right message to the right audience at the right time.

Not dislike, but would have introduced alarms for the Facebook audiences that are not getting refreshed for some reason.

**What do you like best about Simon AI?**

Simon Data is incredibly helpful when pulling in data from many different sources and combining that data to effectively build out audience segments. The tool is relatively user friendly (and constantly improving) and the Documentation section provides helpful guidance for how to utilize the platform. I'm a big fan of layering segments on top of each other to create elegant logic and suppressions. Their customer success support is also excellent - I really enjoy working with them and I find them helpful when strategizing on optimizing our use of Simon.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

If you're using the platform regularly, it's very helpful to know sql to be able to pull in new datasets or fields. Without that knowledge, I've had to rely more heavily on Simon's customer success team for support. Also, some aspects of building out segmentation can be quite manual based on how the current field logic functions (i.e. the fact that text responses are case sensitive).

**What problems is Simon AI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems we are solving: pulling data into Simon from numerous data sources to enable us to create audience segments seamlessly. Sending data about each segment directly into Salesforce Marketing Cloud for effective targeting during email campaigns. Uploading contact info to suppress specific audiences. Targeting first-party audiences and building look-a-likes for paid media campaigns by leveraging Simon. 
Benefits: user friendly tool, simple process to create elegant segments that build off of each other and can be used for audience suppression too.

**What do you like best about Simon AI?**

As a growing omnichannel brand, a first-party orchestration platform usable by every team, and informed by everyone's contribution to that data is essential, and Simon delivers.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

To truly be able to use the platform to the fullest, especially for custom content, conditional content logic, etc, there's a learning curve and a minimum amount of technical ability that is necessary to truly get the most out of it. It's not that I dislike that, and they appear to be making significant progress on that front. Just something to be aware of.

**What problems is Simon AI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simon Data gets all our operational data in one place, and then makes activating it in every channel — email, sms, site personalization, app push notifications, and then what happens in those channels out to include or exclude in paid media. They're solving all the data plumbing issues that plague marketing teams of all sizes.

Sometimes things don't work as they should for no real rhyme or reason. Sometimes things sync more slowly than I would expect them to.

Segmentation for email marketing on Klaviyo, also building custom triggers for email auto-flows.

Obviously the platform itself is an extremely useful tool, but the customer success team at Simon Data is even more helpful. They always address issues and concerns on time and effectively. Sami Klein is a superstar!

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

We use Attentive as an SMS marketing platform and there is not yet any direct integration between Simon and Attentive. It's hard to see what messages are sent and there is no data coming back into Simon. I know that some of the pressure is on Attentive's team to work on, so not all of this is the fault of Simon. Additionally, a major pain point has been not being able to send SMS via SFTP in a journey.

Simon helps us become more personalized with our email marketing. We can use event data in Simon to personalize our website when a customer clicks on our emails.

**What do you like best about Simon AI?**

We have an excellent CSM and CSA (Miranda and Lyndee) working with us on our account; they have made it easy for us to figure out how to host our customer journeys in one place.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

There are a few technical issues with Simon; we weren't able to run GA in our journey alongside Facebook, Email + SMS; we have had glitches in the journey builder, etc. I have also had some small issues sending data over to Klaviyo (ESP).

**What problems is Simon AI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simon Data is giving me more of a holistic, birds eye view of our strategies for retention, acquisition, and all things lifestyle. I can send triggering events to launch ads, send emails, create segments, all within one journey builder. Simon is also helping us to consolidate our data into one place, where we know we can pull the correct information for segmentation, etc.

That any update I make is directly live, would be really great for a dev or test environment so any change I make or progress of a change stays in the test environment, and creating copies of templates or blocks would not be necessary

Data for hybrid templates and Simon data native templates. Also, the team works a lot with flows to test and release real sends to the final users, so this makes quickly the process of getting the data, not a larger process that requires more people to give a hand

Only that can is equal or better than Simon Data product, is their team. Everyone from the account ex to project manager and tech architect were great. We never had to chase them down for anything, and they were really on top of things. It helped since we had a very complex integration across multiple brands.

I primarily use to look into whether or not a customer is receiving our emails. This is helpful in ensuring our customers (who need information about their deliveries in a timely manner) are arriving without issue.

I don't like that I can only view the title of the email sent and opened rather than the content of the message itself. Sometimes the title itself isn't enough, and it would be helpful to be able to see the content of the email right away.

Simon Data has all the functionality I want in a consumer data platform. I can create and build audiences based on a variety of factors and behaviors, all while knowing that the data used comes directly from our data warehouse.

There are some instances where in the pursuit of accurate measurement and data management, I have to create segments with multiple layers of data (using in-between segments). This can become a bit complicated, and can cause the user to get confused easily (as the UI tends to blend together).

Customer data segmentation is really easy with the use of Simon Data. I also like choices available in creating flows and journeys. Reusable segments allow us to work with speed and get the data needed for experimentation.

There are some bugs in UI like in the flow page particularly, I observe sometimes the path takes a bit to load. Also the workings inside of Simon largely remains a blackbox for the developers on our team. Some documentation around this would be really appreciated as they can help us debug some issues.

Besides the core functionality of the product, Simon invests heavily in their product roadmap and delivering a steady stream of product improvements (which are often fueled by user feedback).  I've also been impressed with the speed and competence of customer service. Not only do they quickly help us troubleshoot any issues as they arise, but they'll even proactively flag potential issues with our data. This has been a huge help for our lean, hands-on team.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

There's not much to dislike! The only friction we've experienced was with needing to restructure how we organize some of our data. Like with any tool, I think a strong vision and onboarding plan will help teams get ahead of this (our company and team scaled significantly since onboarding to Simon)

**Recommendations to others considering Simon AI:**

I would make sure you have a strong vision for how you will be using data when onboarding and to document everything as you go.

**What problems is Simon AI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The major problem we are solving is being able to create actionable data fields out of our raw customer data with minimal support from our data science team. For example, we might have a table that lists every product a customer has purchased but not a field that states which product type they purchase most frequently. We can use Simon to generate a field that indicates their favorite product type and use that data point to build customer segments. Having these data layers helps us more nimbly reach our customers with marketing messages.

Simon Data has a great UI to quickly filter through segments using a variety of variables. There is also an option to transform variables into a format one needs using Jinja.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

Simon data could benefit from improvements in sending the flows. For example, when working with data with multiple columns, maybe an option to upload a CSV file could work better so you don't have to manually input each column. Scheduling and editing flows could also be improved as it takes time to re-send a flow should there be an error.

Simon Data helps in choosing the right target segment for our marketing campaigns with an easy-to-use and understand drag-and-drop UI that even non-technical users can easily pick up. More advanced and technical users may still want more in terms of speed in bulk processing of multiple flows and segments but for the most part, Simon Data is a great solution.

I loved our Client Solutions Analyst she was always so energetic and ready to try to solve our problems. They were always very open to our feed back and she honestly acted in a more senior role compared to what she was technically hired as. I think the best part of Simon has been the people we worked with. Though the actual product is not up to par our client side has been very great and is always there for us. They were always extremely responsive to our message and were always open to hopping on a call whenever we needed time to connect on a question.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

I was not a fan of the actual platform itself. When it worked great it was great but when it would provide errors to us it was not great at all, at some points not even usable. I would say that sometimes our Account Manager made it difficult to get things answered in a timely fashion. I think that was because as we were using the platform different parts of it were being built out.

We also tended to get a very slow preview for anything that we tried to build in the email builder it sometimes took us about 10min to load the preview in the email builder. We were also trying to get more utilization out of J2 and its ability to edit the journey without needing to drain like in J1. Though it took us forever to actually get this off the ground and then we ended up having to cancel J2 because of another bug.

**What problems is Simon AI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We originally were looking for a platform to house all of our CDP materials. But as we became more used to the platform we realized that not everything was how we originally intended to use the platform.

The biggest problem I personally was looking to gain from Simon was the ability to do more with journeys. We wanted more testing capabilities, send time optimization, and even the aspect of A/B Testing. I will say that Simon J2 should've been that solution but for some reason, it was not available to us.

Errors are always something we strive not to have, so we understand that this is frustrating. We'd encourage you (and all of our clients) to check in on your data architecture consistently so that you can optimize how you're using the Simon platform and avoid those less-than-perfect instances. For example, email preview load time is typically a function of the computation in the segment or personalization logic itself. If data sources switch or datasets are stale then audience logic can become complex thus extending computation time.

We appreciate your feedback on Journeys 2. As anyone who signed up for the beta program was informed, we rebuilt our drag-and-drop journey builder from the ground up. Since it is an upgraded feature, it works differently from our previous journey builder that many legacy clients were on;  migration to this platform from v1 of our journey builder clients could take some adjusting. Some clients who opted to beta test the feature before it was widely available probably experienced some of those growing pains we originally had that you mentioned! It's now live and available to all clients for use!

We switched to Simon Data because it integrated seamlessly with Salesforce, which meant we could do most of the segmentation directly within Simon Data rather than our previous process which consisted of a series of manual exports and imports. This integration has enabled our marketers to do a lot of the heavy lifting without super technical analytical and engineering assistance.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

They're still working out some reporting tweaks surrounding spam complaints and unsubscribes, and as a result, my reporting process has been a bit more manual. I'd like a bit more visibility on some of my campaign metrics. Additionally, data syncing has been a consistent issue.

Do a deep audit beforehand to ensure Simon meets your requirements. List out which segments and journeys you want to run and make sure you're able to run them on the Simon platform.

**What do you like best about Simon AI?**

I really enjoy the ease of use with Simon Data. To give some additional context, my team and I use Simon data to manage our customer audience lists for upload to our various ad serving platforms (Pinterest, etc.). Simon Data makes the management of these audiences very easy and exporting these audience lists is a simple 2-click process which at the end of the day makes my role much easier (compared to our old process of pulling this information via an SQL database. Overall, I feel Simon Data to be very straight and to the point, with a user-friendly interface and fast load times on export.

**What do you dislike about Simon AI?**

The only issue I've run into while using Simon Data is when exporting our audience lists for upload elsewhere. I've ran into a few instances where I will queue an audience list for export over email and I won't recieve that exported file until quite some time later (10-15 minutes after putting in the request for export). This issue does not happen each time I export our audience lists, but it occurs often enough to be an inconvience.

**Recommendations to others considering Simon AI:**

Simon Data is an intuitive CRM that can quickly help create, store and maintain customer contact details. To anyone on the fence, Simon Data is a great way to approach customer email lists - with automatic pipelines to all your favorite ad servs, it is a good tool to have in your tool kit.

**What problems is Simon AI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I regularly use Simon Data to export our audience lists for upload to some of our other ad serving platforms such as Pinterest and Google Ads. I am happy to be using Simon Data as I feel it is a much more user-friendly means of pulling this data as opposed to our old process in which we pulled these lists from a database using SQL. Summarily, Simon Data can quickly and efficiently transport large lists of customer data for upload elsewhere. The largest benefit of this is that the process can be automated as well!
