"Clean Visual Dashboards That Make Traffic Trends and Benchmarking Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Similarweb?

What I like best is the clean, visual interface; it's super easy to spot traffic trends and compare sites at once, saving tons of time. I also value the audience data; I leverage the dashboards to pinpoint genuine opportunities and gaps, supported by reliable global estimates.

The Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) feature is especially relevant, enabling evaluation of competitor and brand dominance within AI-generated answers for programmatic queries and identifying gaps that can be addressed through structured content optimization. What do you dislike about Similarweb?

Honestly, nothing major! If anything, I'd love even more granularity on niche markets and website performance trends over time. Also, during website analysis, it would be great if similar sites were auto-added to "Add website to compare" when clicking on a name, and if we could get more than 4 suggested brands for benchmarking, it would streamline my workflows even further! "Easy to Use and Packed with Insights—The New AI Feature Is a Game Changer"
5/5
What do you like best about Similarweb?

I really like how easy it is to use! When vetting out a site for traffic, it gives me all of the information that I need. I also love the new AI feature, I think this will be a game changer in providing me support! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Similarweb?

The only downside of Similarweb is that it sometimes doesn’t match the traffic numbers we’re seeing in Google. When there’s a discrepancy, it becomes difficult to determine a site’s true traffic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Similarweb: Powerful, Visual Competitive Insights for Smarter Campaign Planning"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Similarweb?

Similarweb, for me, is distinguished by the sheer volume of data they offer when it comes to web traffic and online trends. What I find particularly beneficial is the ability to identify where your competition’s traffic is coming from and which marketing channels are the most successful. This is particularly good for me as it’s extremely visual and easy to consume. Another great feature for me is the ability to analyze several domains at once, which is incredibly time-saving and gives a great overall market position. In terms of campaign planning, it’s been a necessity for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Similarweb?

The only thing that I have found to be a bit of a limitation is that, for smaller or niche sites, some of the numbers may seem a bit approximate rather than precise. Additionally, to access some reports and data from the past, a premium subscription may be needed, and this may be a bit costly for smaller teams or individuals. The interface may also be a bit overwhelming at first because of all the tabs and options, and while it is incredibly powerful, there is a bit of a learning curve to utilize all of its advanced features. "Similarweb: Clear Traffic & Competitor Insights That Strengthen Strategy"
4/5
What do you like best about Similarweb?

Similarweb has been a very useful tool for my day‑to‑day work. It helped me gain a much clearer understanding of website traffic trends, audience behaviour, and competitor performance across different channels.

Using Similarweb, I was able to quickly benchmark brands against competitors, identify growth opportunities, and support media and digital strategy decisions with data. The insights into traffic sources, user engagement, and category trends were especially helpful when planning campaigns and preparing client presentations.

Overall, Similarweb made it easier to back up recommendations with credible market data and improved the quality of strategic discussions with clients and internal teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Similarweb?

A bit pricey! Could add more support to report on Social ad creative as well. Plus, AI capability should be the default. Also, more information on cross-network signals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick, Beginner Friendly Website Insights for Fast Competitor Research"
5/5
What do you like best about Similarweb?

What I like best about Similarweb is how easy it is to get a quick overview of any website’s performance without spending too much time. Even with limited use, it gives a clear idea about traffic trends, top countries, and main traffic sources, which is very helpful for basic research. The interface is simple and beginner friendly, so you don’t need deep technical knowledge to understand the data. I also like that the free version allows you to explore and compare websites at a high level, which is useful for initial competitor analysis and market understanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Similarweb?

From my experience, the main downside of Similarweb is that the free version has very limited data and accuracy. Many detailed insights are locked behind the paid plan, which can be expensive for individual users. Sometimes the traffic numbers also feel estimated rather than exact, especially for smaller websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool for SEO and market analysis, with some data accuracy concerns & limited AEO functionality"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Similarweb?

Similarweb has been very helpful for me, especially thanks to our account manager, who is extremely supportive and takes the time to help us understand and get the most out of the product. I use it mainly for keyword analysis for SEO, as well as website and market analysis to track competitor positions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Similarweb?

However, I’ve noticed some discrepancies in the traffic data when I compare it to Google Analytics, which makes me question its accuracy at times. That said, it’s still a very powerful tool for understanding market trends and competitive insights.

I've been using SimilarWeb's AEO tool for several months, primarily for keyword tracking and content creation for our insurance comparison website in Greece. While the concept is promising, the execution falls short for markets outside major English-speaking countries.

The Core Issue: The tool requires a minimum search volume threshold to generate content, which is a significant limitation when working with Greek keywords or niche topics. I attempted to create articles for several relevant keywords like "Αφαίρεση διπλώματος" (driving license withdrawal) and "Ασφάλεια κτίριου με δάνειο" (building insurance with loan) - topics that are absolutely relevant to my audience and business needs. In every case, the tool failed to generate content due to "insufficient search volume."

What This Means: If you're working in non-English markets, especially smaller languages like Greek, or if you need to create content for long-tail, lower-volume keywords that are still business-critical, this tool likely won't serve your needs. The volume threshold seems calibrated for high-traffic English keywords, making it impractical for Regional/local market SEO, Niche insurance or specialized topics, Non-major language markets, Long-tail keyword strategies.

What Needs Improvement:

1. Language Support: Better support for Greek and other non-English languages with realistic volume expectations

2. Volume Flexibility: Allow content generation regardless of search volume - low volume doesn't mean low business value

3. Manual Override: Give users the option to generate content even when volume is below threshold Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential View on Competitor Performance and AI Referral Traffic"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Similarweb?

Similarweb has long been part of our insights arsenal for competitor analysis. It's recent move to include insights on AI-driven traffic and brand visibility has been essential for building GEO / AIO strategies for clients. The tool is always adding new capabilities and staying at the forefront of the sector. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Similarweb?

The key downside of similarweb has already been the inaccuracy of traffic estimates, which are useful shown as trends or percentages, but not as raw numbers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Actionable intelligence to quickly understand traffic, audience, and competition"
5/5
What do you like best about Similarweb?

What I like most about Similarweb is the ability to transform complex digital behavior data into actionable intelligence. The tool allows for understanding traffic, channels, audience, and competition in an integrated way, with a clear comparative view and quick strategic reading. This facilitates diagnostics, identification of opportunities, and decision-making based on evidence, not guesswork. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Similarweb?

The main downside of Similarweb is the limitation of accuracy in smaller or niche markets, where estimates can distort reality. I also miss greater methodological transparency in some reports and deeper integrations with first-party platforms, which would help validate data and increase the reliability of the analyses. "Strong Visuals and Market Coverage for Effective Competitive Intelligence"
5/5
What do you like best about Similarweb?

The best thing about Similarweb, in my opinion, is how easily it transforms complicated digital data into useful insights. The charts make it simple to quickly comprehend audience behavior, competitor performance, and traffic trends, and the dashboards are aesthetically pleasing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Similarweb?

Even though the platform has a lot of power, new users may find the navigation overwhelming at times. Combining or separating various analyses can take more time, and some advanced features and saved analyses are not always simple to find. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Insightful Keyword and Competition Analysis Tool with Some Subscription Drawbacks"
4/5
What do you like best about Similarweb?

I use Similarweb for keyword coverage in my PPC account, and it gives me really good insights into what we have, what we don't, and what we could do better. I love how it takes the guessing work out of finding targeted keywords. It also provides a really clear view into our competition, showing where they rank organically and on paid. I appreciate the competition level insights, which I don't get enough of from Google Keyword Planner and Google Insights. Similarweb gives me a clear view of where we can improve and where we're over-indexing. The initial setup was quite easy too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Similarweb?

I guess it's the markets that they have coverage are kinda limited, and you need a different subscription. For each and every point of sale that you do want to add. Us, being a travel company, we have quite a few points of sale and this comes at a different price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
