What do you like best about Simcenter STAR-CCM+?

Once you get past all the dropdown boxes, it is quite simple to set up a model and run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Simcenter STAR-CCM+?

No undo! This would be so helpful and have saved so much time. The screen quality is also poor, no matter how I change settings. Comparing to NX, the images and text are a lot less sharp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Star ccm+ was helped for many projects for tractor thermal management.

few projects are Tractor under hood thermal management, EV tractor PDU design like fan sizing, Battery thermal management for EV tractor.

Star CCM+ GUI is good and easy to use.

DoE's Implementation is easy.

What do you like best about Simcenter STAR-CCM+?

Simcenter STAR-CCM+ has helped the Combustion department at Siemens Energy standardize our analyses across our global organizations. We have CFD analysts in Canada, USA, UK, Sweden, Germany, India, and China. With all these different time zones, languages, and individual experiences, quality control is challenging. However, when we chose to use one CFD tool, Simcenter STAR-CCM+, we found that all our experiences and expertise could be leveraged into one process establishing best practices. The pre-processing and post-processing using Java macros has been the key method to implement our best practices where any engineer can communicate their results in consistent manner to our customers. The models and capabilities of the solver also allow our differing products to be analyzed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
