**What do you like best about Simcenter STAR-CCM+?**

What I appreciate most is that you can bring all your ideas to life, no matter how many constraints you have, all within a single simulation setup using a consistent interface.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter STAR-CCM+?**

The software can be somewhat challenging to learn, and it may take a while to get the hang of it. However, once you do, it's definitely worthwhile. I have also noticed that when working on more complex designs, the geometry tools can seem a little too basic.

**What problems is Simcenter STAR-CCM+ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simcenter STAR-CCM+ enables us to simulate intricate fluid and thermal interactions at the early stages of the design process, which is especially valuable for electronic systems that demand effective cooling solutions. We rely on it to examine airflow, pressure drops, and heat transfer in various configurations, allowing us to pinpoint potential hotspots and refine the placement of components. By conducting these virtual tests, we minimize the reliance on physical prototypes, accelerate our development timelines, and enhance both the performance and reliability of our designs.

**What do you like best about Simcenter STAR-CCM+?**

It is affordable. 
It is in competition.
Companies in Germany use it.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter STAR-CCM+?**

I don't like the GUI. It needs to be more automated and appealing.
Another downside is that Star-CCM is not available for everyone, it has to be available to all engineers. What I mean it must be sold to individuals as well, not only companies. Selling to individuals will make your company differ from the competition.

**Recommendations to others considering Simcenter STAR-CCM+:**

Always benchmark your results. Use OpenFOAM solver if experimental data is unavailable.

**What problems is Simcenter STAR-CCM+ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving CFD problems and benefits are reliable results.
