What do you like best about Simcenter 3D?

With its extensive set of simulation capabilities, SimCentre 3D software gives engineers a flexible platform for virtual testing and analysis. Beginners may find the learning curve high, but the wealth of documentation and courses helps fill up the gaps. Workflow is improved by integration with CAD systems, although occasionally big models may cause performance problems. What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?

very friendly interface , not so complicated for installation , very high tech support 24/7 with high sla, very robust software with no erros and it is very helpful for the daily use of the industrial company . it could be easy integradted with other solutions . It is business oriented only to industral companies and factories , when planing a complex project it took a lot of time and computers power , the integration with other sfoware can be complicated and need the support team.

What do you like best about Simcenter 3D?

Fantastic user support! Always answering to e-mails and they are open to suggestions to make the software better.

SC3D is suitable for automation (I like a lot that we can use Python and C).

Attributes and especially the fact that you can create user attributes is very important, but there is some room of improvement here.

Parametric models linked with HEEDS is wonderful, but again here is some more to be developed.

Selections techniques and selection recipes save a lot of time in pre and post processing.

The fact that there are objects like NFR save a lot of time, this can be extended to some other objects (as extractions). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?

There is some inconsistency between modules (like different behavior between FEM / SIM / PRT).

Some work for making the flow more robust (sometimes updates are failing, like stitch).

There can be some improvement for the QA process and also there are engineering issues:

- inconsistency in units in formulas

- vectors with arrows and signs
