**What do you like best about Simcenter 3D?**

I like the fact that there is a good link between CAD and FEM. This allows to do quick design iterations. I also like the fact that I can work with orphan meshes and recreate the geometry.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?**

Sometimes the orphan meshes flow is not working smoothly. There are issues with the offsets and stitch. Sometimes visualisation has bugs like wrong colors and sometimes it is not easy to select. 
Selection of coordinate frames is an enigma, very bad an inconsistent.

**What problems is Simcenter 3D solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used for update of legacy models and mesh of complex composite models. 
Used for quick studies related to buckling. 
Used for load fileld transfer between different models.

**What do you like best about Simcenter 3D?**

I love how it brings simulation and testing all under one roof. You can tinker, tweak, and see how things behave without the real-world mess. It’s crazy user-friendly. You don't need a PhD in rocket science to get results. It's like having your own virtual lab where you can experiment and fine-tune designs, making the whole engineering process a total joyride.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?**

If there's one hiccup with Simcenter 3D, it's that sometimes the complexity can get a bit overwhelming. Wrapping your head around all the bells and whistles might need a little patience.

**What problems is Simcenter 3D solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me catch issues early, so I can fine-tune before production. It's like having a crystal ball that predicts problems before they happen. This not only boosts my design confidence but also cuts down on costly fixes down the road.

**What do you like best about Simcenter 3D?**

Simcenter 3D Motion provides excellent versatility for mechanism modeling, with an extensive feature set (constraints, applied forces/torques, efficient analytical contact, various mechanical elements, ability to utilize external data, use of sub-models, post-processing, etc.). It is generally easy to use and will be familiar to NX users.  Documentation is extensive and the software is stable.  Relatively recent features additions to help with managing model configurations and parameter studies are very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?**

Managing the software licenses is more time-consuming than it needs to be, and there is little transparency with respect to functionality and token cost for additional modules. There are some aspects of managing model inputs/outputs that can be frustrating, such as wading through long unordered lists of functions/expressions.

**What problems is Simcenter 3D solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My business uses Simcenter 3D Motion regularly for simulating products across their lifecycle -- from early development to production to eventual retirement. Models in Simcenter 3D Motion help us evaluate design options, tune product performance, understand observed failures, assess decision implications, etc.

Siemens 3D has several features which are beneficial to me and my organization and they include the following:
It provides enhanced visualization.
It also allows improved design process where there is simulation.
It also uses real-world applications.
Siemens 3D also has features which promote collaboration and communication between team members and stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?**

It also has several downsides which include the following:
It has features which can prove to be so complext and require specialized knowledge and skills.
It is also costly.
It requires powerful hardware which can increase the cost.
The processing time can also be high since 3D structures are hard to design.

Has solved the issue of inefficient product prototyping and testing due to the virtual simulation process. This has allowed time and cost saving in the organization.

It is a best tool to create integrated designs and inbuilt geometry and simulation tools helps in making best designs. It is one of the best tools that i have used.

It may take sometime to use all the features of the tools but the customer support really helps in findig the solution of any given problem. It is a go to tool

**What do you like best about Simcenter 3D?**

Simcenter 3D allows you to get a feel of the possibilities of a product that a company/firm/startup is intending to produce and introduce in the market. It allows you to reduce the number of tests to a bare minimum which saves time cost and efforts.

One thing I would like to change is that, the Interface of the Software is very technical, which restricts it's use and reach.

> Integration with NX CAD is good (no neutral formats such as step or parasolid needed).
> If properly set-up, it is easy to interchange components in the FEM model.
> Synchronous modelling works very nice once you have experience (also to idealize the geometry).

**What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?**

> Standard Nastran mesher is quite poor (very often results in bad element quality).
> Many (seemingly) double functions (e.g. split face and divide face). 
>  Not easy at all to start with SimCenter3D when you have no experience. Certain model setups in the end might not work out as intended.

> Design optimization problems in combination with HEEDS.
> Design validation has been a large part (making detailled and accurate models to prove that the design meets specifications)

**What do you like best about Simcenter 3D?**

The most helpful part was that it is all happening in a single environment, without much changes in the UI, so learning the tool becomes much easier. And given that there are many solvers integrated and also that the software makes experimenting easier, learning the concept also becomes much faster. The tool is very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?**

The occasional bugs in the software might disturb the flow of work. Also, since the software is vast, learning it thoroughly or learning to simulate multiphysics problems might take some time. While some modules/solvers have excellent documentation and learning resources, others hardly have any learning resources, which could be a problem from a beginner's perspective.

**What problems is Simcenter 3D solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simcenter 3D solves a variety of physics problems, but the main problem it solves as a tool is reducing the loss of data and saving the time that might frequently occur when the files are being transferred from one software to another. And it solves it simply by being a solution where all the features of a typical CAE process are combined into a single environment rather than using multiple solutions for various stages of the CAE process. This benefits me a lot because I no longer have to learn multiple software to complete one simulation, and I am fully in control of the entire CAE process. Rather than depending on a person for one particular stage of the simulation process, I can do it all at my own pace.

T?he ocmplete integration with CAD environment makes it the aboslute ruler software for Simulations/Design. The wide range of simulations capabilities offers a 360 degree tool.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?**

Some procedures are too complicated and not intuitive. Support is often needed jsut to complete some operations, both in CAD and in Simulations

Mechanical and thermal analysis, both static and dynamic. You can monitor the performance of the Design in roder to produce a First Time Right deliverable.

What I like the most about the software is the associativity between part file, fem file and simulation file. Make changes to the part are automatically reflected to the simulation model itself, saving a lot of time.

Some actions can be done in multiple ways to achieve the same results, which can cause confusion.

The software is used to predict vibrations and stresses in our products for multiple loadings and constraints.

I didn't faced any problem while working on Simcenter 3D, so I don't have any specific thing that I disliked.

My favorite thing every time I have to use Simcenter is that I don't have to open a second application with a different GUI and UX just to defeature and prepare geometry for analysis and motion simulations.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?**

One thing that sticks out to me about Simcenter is how FloEFD solver is integrated into Simcenter. Though this is very difficult, I wish that starting a FloEFD simulation started just like a fem/sim model. Where you could utilize the same .fem file as for other analyses. But I realize FloEFD's backend is very different.

**What problems is Simcenter 3D solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simcenter helps us link initial conceptual designs early to analysis so that major improvements can be made early on. Preventing major rework of designs due to minor oversight. In the past, our simulations were done on standalone applications that did not carry the model tree over. If the analysis results do not meet the criteria using Simcenter with native NX parts allows for the analyst to make iterations to show the actual improvements made by design recommendations, prevent a hold where designers had to update geometry and then resubmit it to the analysts just to experiment on design improvements.

Its solves the problems which are related to structures, thermal, flow, motion and acoustics but for me the most benefitted is the electro magnetic module which is helping me in the engineering of my product.

**What do you like best about Simcenter 3D?**

Simcenter 3D is aligned with model-based system engineering since the beginning from the master model approach(the most Powerful CAD ever) until today's multi-physics(Mechanical, Thermal, Electromagnetics, Multibody Dynamics, Control, and lumped parameters simulation features with AMESIM link)

**What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?**

Softwares like Recurdyn have more powerful MBD capabilities in flexible contact, primitive contact options, control modeling,  and meshless CFD. I agree that control modeling could be improved with an interface directly on simcenter 3D. Using AMESIM or Matlab to model control is expensive because of the extra AMESIM or MATLAB seats.

**What problems is Simcenter 3D solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me is excellent to manage the complexity of large structures and the Simcenter 3D is excellent to cut repetitive modeling tasks like mesh generation in a couple of hours.

**What do you like best about Simcenter 3D?**

The open environment of simcenter 3d provides felxibility and helps to gain better insights of the product.
Covers almost all products and simulation ranging from acoustic, composites ,CFD, Electromagnetic, Motion analysis to Complex Structural analysis.
Efficient Meshing saves huge run time.
Also optimization techniques are very user-friendly and helps is savings.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?**

It is relatively new software. More training sessions and online webinars should be conducted to penetrate in market.
If properly marketed , the software has the capability to be industry leader in CAE segment.

**What problems is Simcenter 3D solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Thermal and Electromagnetic simulation features of Simcenter are perfectly made to design the product optimized and the results are so accurate and reliable.
