**What do you like best about Simcenter 3D?**

What I like most about Simcenter 3D is that everything is integrated into a single environment. I can go from geometry preparation to meshing and then straight into simulation without constantly switching between tools. The pre- and post-processing features are very strong, especially for complex structural and thermal analyses, and the visualization helps me understand the results quickly.

It also handles large, detailed models smoothly, which saves a lot of time on real engineering projects. Overall, it feels robust and precise, and it comes across as a tool built for serious simulation work.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?**

One thing I find challenging about Simcenter 3D is its steep learning curve. The interface is very powerful, but it can feel overwhelming at first because of the sheer number of options and settings. Some workflows also aren’t as intuitive as they could be, so new users may need proper training before they can work efficiently.

It can be resource-intensive as well—large models often require strong hardware to run smoothly. On top of that, licensing and module management can sometimes feel complex, depending on the setup. Overall, it’s a very capable tool, but it isn’t always the easiest to learn and master.

One thing I like about the new Simcenter 3D update is that NVH analysis for electric motors is much faster now. You can test designs and get vibration results quickly without long wait times. It really saves time and makes the work easier.

One thing Simcenter 3D could improve is how easy it is to set up models. It’s a very powerful tool, but sometimes building and preparing a simulation can feel more complicated than it needs to be. Small changes in the mesh can mess up selections or groups, and then you have to fix things again. That can slow you down and get frustrating.

If the setup process were a bit more straightforward and forgiving, it would save engineers a lot of time and make the overall experience smoother.

Fairly easy to use and learn. Give the designer more tools to optimize the designs before the simulation team gets it

It would be nice if there was a simpler way to connect models together to simulate welds. As soon as it is a multiple part assembly that is welded together or bolted you have to switch over to the regular FEA software

It is quicker to setup than the heavier FEA tool. Less overwhelming than the full package. I think the speed is the best part about it.

**What do you like best about Simcenter 3D?**

Simcenter 3D is directly connected to NX and Teamcenter so gives an easy route to created a simulation process that works as part of a digital thread connected to the overall design process. The interface is easy to adopt and the common interface with NX makes implementation straightforward, the manuals provide good support to the customer.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter 3D?**

Simcenter 3D does not have the same strength in meshing and model build, especially for highly abstracted models, that some other preprocessors have. This means that other tools needs to be used frequently preventing it being used as the main simulation tool on a day to day basis.

**What problems is Simcenter 3D solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solution of mechanical models.

As an academic institute we do not have licence issues but i can imagine that having to look for licences is tedios.

**What problems is Simcenter 3D solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Computing flexibilities in multi body simulations.

We can get better insights, our product performance get faster by integrating multiple physics domains togetherfrom a simulated environment.

For complex projects it seems like difficult to handle, because it took a lot of time and computers power.

This tool helps us to analyse the structural weakness of our designs.
