It is easy to set up and schedule, the UI is clear, and it is easy to assign tasks to different team members. The Academy is particularly good, allowing you to assign training to team members and see their progress. The test results are thorough and for the most part easy to action, it also allows me to provide more technical information to my platform developer. The AI assistant is a brilliant addition and gives a holistic overview of your content that complements the raw data from the results pages very effectively. The customer support team are very responsive and helpful too. **What do you dislike about Silktide?** Not really a downside, but I think I would use the dashboards more if I could customise the widgets like you can on Looker Studio. **What problems is Silktide solving and how is that benefiting you?** For us, its proving to be really helpful with our Accessibility improvements. Its such a useful feature to be able to find a word, term, link etc across our whole web service. We have thousands of pages and without a service like Silktide it would be almost impossible to find all occurences of a given term and replace them when needed. **What do you dislike about Silktide?** Its sometimes a little bit unclear when a policy has or hasn't run yet. There have been times when I've set something up that hasn't produced results and I'm not sure if there are no results or if the crawl for the policy isn't complete. **What problems is Silktide solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is providing us with an easy to use tool that highlights areas in which we can improve accessibility accross our vast web presence. We have a team of dedicated Web Content editors who are very familiar with web accessibility principles and the site is a useful tool for these team members to ensure they stay on track with these principles. But as well as these core content editors, there are members of staff accross our organisation (a University) who edit their own pages and for whom web isn't the key focus of their role and therefore web accessibility principles aren't nescessarily something they are familiar with. Silktide allows us to provide access to these members of staff and through an easy to understand interface and a robust set of tutorials in the Silktide academy, allows these members of staff who have less familiarity with web accessibility to quickly get to grips with ways they can make their content more accessible. ### 5. Accessibility is a key part of my work and I use it at least once a week. Even using basic features like the broken link checker is very helpful if your CMS lacks such features. The user interface is simple and easy to show others, making training much easier. The clear separation of content and accessibility tasks allows my team to focus on content while I handle accessibility without overlapping. The customer service team is one of the best I've encountered. They respond quickly via the chat help function and are always ready to assist if you run into any problems. **What do you dislike about Silktide?** The only downside is that the scans can take quite a while if you have a large site, we run these when we have made any 'big' changes at the end of the day. Each of the sections explain exactly what issues there are with your website and simply explains exactly what is required to fix the problem. We (Watford Borough Council) use this weekly, and have managed to improve our acessibility 'ten-fold' using this system, which is one of the main reasons for it's implementation. On each of your pages, you can check all of the problems of the page, be it template, CSS, HTML or accessibility. It allows you fix on page and in some cases, logs you straight into your CMS. The staff at Silktide are helpful and have frequent meetings with you to understand what is going well and what isn't. After the system is installed and the code is added to your integrations (a very easy process), you are ready to go. One of the newest implentations (AI) has made our jobs even easier, and a fair amount of credits are given to you by Silktide to help to improve your content even further, highly recommend using this. **What do you dislike about Silktide?** There isn't much to not like about the system. Maybe, and this is if I am being 'picky' is that erros can be duplicated across multiple pages, where it could be dealt with as one single issue. **What problems is Silktide solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main problem we use Silktide to keep us on track with is Accessibility. It complements manual and user testing processes when optimizing websites for accessibility (testing against WCAG criteria). It saves time when conducting sitewide audits (broken links, spell checking, site inventory tools, policy checks, etc.). It also sheds light on opportunities that might otherwise be missed (keyword performance, review of technical SEO checks, etc.). The platform is easy to use and intuitive for developers, designers, and project managers. The ability to export client-friendly reports demonstrating performance over time is also valuable. More importantly, the human customer support in sales, training, and technical troubleshooting is responsive and consistent. The short discreptions of why somehing is an issue also helps me learn why we do certain things. **What do you dislike about Silktide?** I don't like how sometimes when I'm fixing things silktide tells me to fix, and I upload my changes to the live site, when I retest on silktide it doesn't usually update right away. I am in my dashboard daily, and connecting directly to the Wordpress sites is helpful too. Support is quick and responsive to my questions. **What do you dislike about Silktide?** I wish I had better control over the Dashboards I create to share with my clients. There are certain visual widgets I would like to remove and I don't seem to have control over choosing the individual widgets I'd like to display or how to order them. Issues including ADA compliance, broken links, typos, image issues, user experience and so many more. And after I have fixed any issue, I can do a quick rescan to make sure the issue has been resolved. We check and fix issues multiple times during the week, and since we started using Silktide, we have raised all of our scores into >90%. With the importance of ADA compliance on websites, not only for the fear of litigation, but for an all-inclusive audience, making any website accessible is vitally important, especially for a business. Their customer service is also super responsive. Any time I have a question or issue, it's answered nearly immediately through a live chat. Implementing the service on our site was beyond easy. I have used other auditing services before and nothing compares to Silktide. I won't name these other services, but the level of features and customer service that we're getting, far surpasses all of them. **What do you dislike about Silktide?** Really nothing I dislike about Silktide, but in the race instance when there have been any issues or a feature that I thought was missing, it was quickly addressed. However, Silktide seems to shine above the rest. First, the company is passionate about accessibility, and all of its employees undergo hands-on accessibility training to truly understand the needs of those with disabilities who use the internet. They know their stuff, and its apparent in their product and in their interactions with their customers. The staff is truly knowledgeable and friendly. The interface of the product itself was clearly created with the user in mind. It is so visually intuitive that little to no training is needed to begin making improvements to your websites. You'll soon be increasing accessibility compliance, improving search engine optimization, and finding broken links and misspellings with ease. I especially appreciate all of the prompts that give me additional information on what things mean. It's a lifesaver when I'm working on accessibility. I receive weekly emailed reports from Silktide to help keep me on track with my website improvement efforts, but you can log in daily. Onboarding was a breeze. I only needed to answer a few questions on a spreadsheet, and the Silktide team set up everything. **What do you dislike about Silktide?** One thing I wish Silktide offered was a table of all my websites and columns that showed the number of broken links, misspellings, and other high-priorty items so that I can know at a glance what needs fixed right away. The portal is intuitively designed, making it easy to understand, learn, and execute the ADA Accessibility runs. In addition, the Silktide team has done an excellent job in setting up multiple applications for our account in a timely manner. I would also like to give special recognition to 'Susan Torres', who joined our account in May. Since her onboarding, the quality of work has improved and our requests have been handled quickly and promptly, making things easier for us. It's always a good motivation to know there's someone we can rely on our testing deadlines and quality of the work. From the very beginning it's been clear that the team at Silktide care deeply about accessibility and have a true desire to make good website usability a priority. The onboarding process was extremely simple, and their customer service has been nothing short of spectacular. The accessibility compliance module was the primary reason we chose Silktide. It has a more robust and intuitive user interface than any other compliance software I've worked with. It also has a more detailed list of compliance checks and even provides examples of things we will need to be checking in future versions of WCAG standards. It was very easy to implement and integrate into our content management system, and its page scans were just plain faster than other options.
