## About Sigma
Sigma is the AI runtime layer for analytics, agents, and apps built on live warehouse data. It is a cloud analytics and business intelligence platform that helps business and technical teams explore live data, build reports and applications, and deploy AI agents directly on a cloud data warehouse, using a familiar spreadsheet interface alongside SQL, Python, and AI. - Analytics: Use Sigma for classic business intelligence workloads like pixel-perfect reporting, embedded analytics, and self-service access to data in an Excel-like interface. Build with AI, spreadsheet functions, SQL, or Python. - Agents: Deploy AI agents that act on live data and run multi-step workflows. Build them with natural language and your choice of enterprise LLM or warehouse AI. - Apps: Build AI Apps for operational work like planning and forecasting, scenario modeling, and approval routing, with writeback and governance automatically configured. Every artifact in Sigma inherits the security, permissions, and row-level access already set in the cloud data warehouse. Because governance is enforced at the source, anything a team builds is IT-approved from the start. Sigma solves a persistent tradeoff in enterprise data work. Business teams typically wait on a central data team to build reports and tools, while ad hoc AI and app-building tools produce work that sits outside IT's control. Sigma removes that tradeoff by keeping analysis, reporting, applications, and agents on live warehouse data under one set of permissions, so non-technical users build what they need while IT keeps a single, auditable system of control. Founded in 2014, Sigma is a privately held company headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in New York, London, and Sydney. More than 2,000 companies trust Sigma, including DoorDash, Blackstone, JPMorgan Chase, and Figma. Sigma is the business intelligence partner of the year for both Snowflake (2023-2026) and Databricks (2025-2026).

There are minor things that should just be available for the base tier like exporting data. Any user can copy/paste data from a table in Sigma into another tool, but they're not able to get an export button unless they're on a higher license tier.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's more scalable and faster than our previous solution, allowing us to innovate quicker and deliver more analytics to more users and clients. Other team members with less data and analytics experience are able to leverage it with ease.

 ### 10. Fast, Reliable Automation with a Useful API and Solid Embedding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yuri K. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I actually find the api useful and we use it to automate tasks that i used to do by hand. And honestly the speed is the best part as Sigma loads much faster than power bi which would freeze my browser. Embedding is solid too since you can mess with the css and make it look right. Pricing is simple. You pay your bill and you know what you get unlike those other tools with hidden costs.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Every time we update the version something always breaks. Old dashboards just stop working or are buggy and i have to stay late fixing them. Documentation is kinda trash sometimes the instructions are just wrong. My space bar stuck now and i really need to get some dinner. Data model view is clunky and makes it hard to see how tables connect. Support is okay but they always make you send a million logs before they help.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing management to view all of the company's data in one place through charts. It has eliminated the constant requests I receive for manual reports from others within the company. We utilize Sigma to display client sales information directly within our application and Sigma is also functional in aggregating and consolidating disparate data sources.

 ### 11. Highly Customizable, Easy-to-Use Reporting with Powerful Data Visualization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alessandro M. | Software Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like its customization capabilities, starting with a good basic report, I can adapt it to my needs. It offers many export options, is very easy to use, and the clarity of the functions and the flexibility of the system have improved significantly.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

It has exceeded my expectations, both in terms of ease of use and the level of productivity my team has been able to achieve. I honestly have nothing negative to say—I’m very satisfied with its data visualization and data manipulation capabilities.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma took my business to the point of achieving insightful, collaborative business intelligence in just a couple of weeks. It allows me to perform calculations that would normally require entire data request cycles and offers far more flexibility than any other software I've used before-it doesn't require data storage or databases to instruments or synchronize.

 ### 12. Seamless Real-Time Analytics on Large Datasets with Auto-Scaling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiwari S. | Systems Integration Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

What I like most about Sigma Compute is how easy it makes working with large datasets in real time, without having to think about infrastructure or performance tuning. It automatically scales as queries get heavier, so everything stays fast and responsive even as the data grows. That lets me focus on exploring insights instead of managing compute resources, making the overall analytics experience smoother, more efficient, and dependable for everyday decision-making.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

What I don’t like about Sigma Compute is that costs can feel unpredictable at times, especially for teams running heavy or frequent queries without tight usage controls. Because compute scales automatically, it’s not always clear how certain actions impact spending, which can make budgeting tricky. There’s also limited visibility into detailed compute usage, so optimizing costs often requires extra monitoring and experience.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma Compute solves the issue of slow, rigid, and infrastructure-heavy analytics by removing the need to manually manage or size compute resources. Instead of waiting on warehouses to scale or dealing with performance bottlenecks, it provides on-demand compute that automatically adapts to the workload. For me, that means faster, more flexible data exploration and real-time insights without extra operational effort. It also makes collaboration easier by letting teams work on live data together, leading to quicker decisions and a smoother analytics workflow overall.

 ### 13. Empowering BI with Ease of Use and Quick Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Venkata M. | Bench Sales Recruiter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I find Sigma's ecosystem particularly impressive because it humanizes complex technology and doesn't require someone to be a 'Coding Wizard' for high-level work. I also really enjoy the spreadsheet-like interface, which makes Sigma feel like Excel. This familiarity is important because most business users know how to work with spreadsheet formulas, pivot tables, and filters, so there's no need for weeks of training. The live connection to data warehouses without needing to export data is a massive plus because it allows for real-time SQL query execution. I also appreciate how easy and comfortable Sigma is to use for beginners, making the initial setup a breeze. All these features make Sigma really accessible and powerful, especially for those who may not have a deep technical background.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

I don't like the performance lags with complex workbooks and the limited visual customization. If your data warehouse is slow or if your Sigma workbook has dozens of complex joins and calculated columns, you might experience loading spinners. Fine-tuning the pixel-perfect look of a chart, like specific border thickness, custom color gradients, or unique chart types, is more restricted in Sigma.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sigma for data democratization, speed to insight, and security. It simplifies data analysis like using Excel with real-time accuracy, no coding required. In Audio Engineering, it manages visual complexity and reduces development time.

 ### 14. Intuitive, Real-Time Analytics That Makes Complex Data Accessible

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sagor E. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like how it makes complex data more accessible, letting users explore it in real time. The user interface is intuitive, so I can find and access information quickly and efficiently. I also appreciate how easy it is to share information, which makes it much simpler to maintain consistent metrics.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

The setup is straightforward, and it’s an excellent application. So far, I haven’t noticed any major shortcomings—there’s honestly nothing I dislike about it. Sigma is a powerful analytics platform, and it’s been a great experience to use.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool allows us to obtain information quickly and define centralized metrics. It helps me create highly interactive reports and greatly facilitates data exploration. It also lets us establish consistent metrics across the organization, which makes it easier for everyone to explore, interpret, and understand the data.

 ### 15. Empowering Self-Service Analytics with Sigma & Snowflake

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

The biggest win with Sigma is the UI/UX, it’s the first BI tool I’ve used that actually feels like a spreadsheet but scales like a cloud warehouse. Because it’s live-connected to Snowflake, I don’t have to wait for data extracts or worry about 'stale' reports; the Performance is as fast as the warehouse itself. The Integrations are seamless, allowing me to write back to the database or embed analytics directly into client portals without a massive engineering lift.
From my perspective, the ROI is immediate because the onboarding is so fast, I can take a client who only knows Excel and have them building complex pivots in an afternoon. I’ve also been impressed by the AI/Intelligence features, specifically the AI Forecast and natural language formulas, which take the guesswork out of trend analysis. The biggest unexpected benefit has been Input Tables, which finally solved the problem of letting users comment on or update data without leaving the dashboard. It’s turned our static reports into truly interactive tools.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

The only thing that I see can be worth considering to look is that since it's live-query only, a few unoptimized workbooks can unintentionally drive up warehouse costs if you aren't monitoring credit burn closely, otherwise I really like working with SIGMA overall.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma is helping us make analytics a lot more approachable. Instead of waiting on a data or BI team to build every single report, people can open Sigma, work with Snowflake data in a spreadsheet-like view, and answer many of their own questions. Everything still runs on live, governed data in Snowflake, so we’re not dealing with stale extracts or random copies. Overall, it’s cut down on bottlenecks, made it easier for teams to trust the numbers they see, and sped up how quickly we can explore ideas and turn insights into real decisions.

 ### 16. Fronted for Data WH-centric business operations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mário S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like the input tables and actions that allow for the implementation of business workflows. It's great that these processes can happen on a single platform and all the data is available in the warehouse, which helps integrate previously siloed systems. The initial setup of Sigma was very easy, and integrating it with Snowflake was pretty straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

The existing number of native visualizations is limited and some of them are too restrictive. For example, you cannot apply a trellis to a box plot.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma provides a familiar interface for business users, allowing data processes to move to the warehouse. It consolidates previously siloed systems and implements business workflows effectively with input tables and actions, ensuring data is accessible in a single platform.

 ### 17. More Than BI: A Workflow Platform We Love

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew D. | Director of Data & Analytics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

we like that its not just a BI platform its more of a workflow platform

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Not much I think they are growing fast and need to just develop faster as AI SAAS killers

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

historically we would need to create custom data applications for needs. With Sigma we are able to reduce the need for hosting multiple data applications. Sigma also helps us take a lot of users out of Excel and move to a platform where we can store data more efficiently and effectively.

 ### 18. Powerful, Excel-Like Analysis and Easy Dashboard Prototyping

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mardius Y. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I liked being able to create joins, run complex calculations, and work with different aggregation levels just by dragging columns. I also liked how easy it was to prototype a dashboard. It’s straightforward to use, and I can add filters and groupings in a way that feels very similar to Excel.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

What I liked least is that Sigma dashboards aren’t the most beautiful on the market, and I think they should be improved.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything has been positive with Sigma. It’s no longer just about uploading a PDF or viewing a static dashboard; it’s about creating an environment where people can explore and work with the data without risking changes to the production database. Overall, it has been great, and everything is going well.

 ### 19. Clean Dashboards and Smooth Data Connections for Fast, Interactive Visualizations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicola M. | Business Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

It helps visualize comprehensive data in any format I need, making report generation easier. Data can be easily imported from multiple sources, allowing me to create custom reports. It ha greatly simplifies the conversion of raw data and helps me visualize performance-related information.

 ### 20. Sigma found my Data and didn't even crash!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alok A. | Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I liked entering information in plain english and having it create a Chart. The AI identified some Trends, which is good enough for what we're doing. When I connected it to our AWS RedShift database, I was amazed that it did connect the first time and it wasn't a complete disaster (I fully expected it to). The non-technical users of our company are able to use this program and I am no longer bothered constantly with questions regarding reporting.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

This thing cost an arm and leg and the price is going up all the time because every time we actually use it. The Visualizations that it creates are very simple looking and the performance is somewhat slow as well when trying to do something moderately complex. The largest complaint that I have is that no matter what formula that I try to build into a report, the tool will never recognize it; even if the syntax is correct and I end up wanting to throw my mouse across the room.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At least my Reporting Backlog is down by about 800% thanks to my radiator's strange clicking sound. Before, it took us Weeks to get answers to questions and now everyone searches it like they were using Google. This program keeps the data in One place so I don't have to deal with the Governance people constantly asking me where I got my numbers.

 ### 21. Empowers Data Visualization with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James . | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I love Sigma's AI integration and how easy it is to connect to my database and query through it. Sigma allows me to set up an AI agent to answer questions about my company's incentive plan. This capability helps in better resource and time allocation, ensuring everyone understands the business strategy. Being a no-coding solution means I could create dashboards without knowing SQL, which makes it very approachable.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Sometimes setting filters in dashboards can be a pain. Better pivot table management. Can’t highlight rows.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma bridges process gaps, visualizes data cleanly, and aids decision-making. Its AI answers business plan questions, helping resource allocation. It's easy to connect to databases, even without SQL skills, making dashboard creation accessible.

 ### 22. Sigma the source of truth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guadalupe Gilberto X. | Customer service repressentative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I recently move to an area that relies heavily on Sigma for safety concern related data, Sigma allows us to filter and get information using very few details or even keywords it is super reliable to get the job done.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

The speed has significantly improved and the loading time and also exporting time for documents it is a lot faster now, definitely a must have tool.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Metrics for top dashers, bonus for challenges to help find profiles for inactive dashers even for devices that have security issues with their software such as jailbroken or rooted devices

 ### 23. Fast, Spreadsheet-Style Interface That Makes Prototyping and Drill-Down Exploration Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akram S. | Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I really like the spreadsheet-style interface, and you don’t need to be a database expert to use it. If you know how to use Excel, you can already build my prototypes and see how the tables look with real names and numbers. I also love how fast it is to explore: when I see a chart, I can drill down and explore it all the way to the smallest level.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

There are some aesthetic limitations, the learning curve is short, and the mobile version isn’t very intuitive.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has really helped us a lot. It gives us an interactive experience, taking us from my prototypes to real data, and overall it’s been a truly unique and flexible experience.

 ### 24. Intuitive Dashboards, Fast Reporting, and Seamless Data Source Integration

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

They are always adding new features and making product improvements like pixel perfect reporting.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

I would like if they leaned more into AI for creating dashboards rather than just explaining them.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma enables business users to get insights about company health and productivity via familiar charts, tables, and graphs

 ### 26. Intuitive, Powerful Analytics Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Habeeb K. | Technology & Automation - Growth, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I find Sigma very easy to use. The direct connection to Snowflake is really helpful because it simplifies the process as all the tables are already within Sigma, saving us effort. Building joins and handling maintenance is very straightforward. I switched to Sigma because it is much more intuitive compared to Tableau, which was complex to use. Migrating dashboards was easy when we connected. I would definitely recommend Sigma, I rate it a 10.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Nothing

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sigma to build analytics dashboards for marketing, showing the pipeline and campaign progress in a concise, intuitive way to leadership. It connects directly to Snowflake, simplifying data access and maintenance efforts.

 ### 27. Extensive Data Connectivity and Powerful Visualizations for Fast Insights

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

The platform provides extensive data connectivity that supports data-driven decision-making. Reports can be generated in multiple formats and connect smoothly with a range of data sources. It also includes strong data visualization tools, which makes it easier to interpret the data and quickly gain useful insights.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Performance can drop when working with very large datasets, and the learning curve can feel steep. More guided tutorials would be helpful. Also, at times, some reports take a little longer to load.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a highly customizable tool with powerful visualization features. It supports real-time data updates and makes it easy to turn complex data into clear, easy-to-read dashboards. This helps me monitor performance, share data, and collaborate seamlessly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I love that it sits on top of snowflake without extracting the data. I also love input tables because they provide a helpful transition for the business from excel into a better tool.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Sigma innovates so quickly that it can cause disruptions in production workbooks if there are new features that cause bugs.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma is much more flexible than existing BI tools, so as we are transitioning, the business is seeing how much more they can dream up and how much easier it is to implement their desired changes.

 ### 29. Effortless Data Analysis with No Code Solutions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Payton C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

Limited chart types such as histograms.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma makes hard-to-code problems in Snowflake easy with no-code solutions, allowing quick and dirty visualizations and validations for large datasets.

 ### 30. Impressive Ease of Use with Quick Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** edison h. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like Sigma's ease of use and speed, which makes it a great tool for handling dashboards. I appreciate the features it offers, especially the 'write back' capability that allows communication with my database. The ability to talk to consumers while writing back is also something I find valuable. Additionally, the initial setup was pretty smooth.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Joins sometimes have long load times.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sigma for visibility and reporting with dashboards. It's easy and fast, and I like the write back feature that communicates with my database.

 ### 31. Powerfully tight analytics platform that leverages the best aspects of Snowflake

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenneth L. | Sr. Director of Data Analytics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Three things stand out that set Sigma far above competitors:

1) Input tables. Yes others have writeback functionality but it's just so EASY with sigma to set up data entry, make changes, track changes, that we've had employees who have had whole careers around maintaining spreadsheets *prefer* to enter it into Sigma

2) We can query the AI engine right in the dashboard. Yes it sounds scary, but once you have it working, letting the users ask the dashboard what the data means? it's a game changer! Our BI team can focus on new things rather than explaining what the data means. And it produces queries that we can review to build in alerts, highlights and more information to really have the dashboards tell the stories going forwards.

3) Customer support - The initial set up felt like we were really taken care of. We were able to test out the features and get advanced things up and running right from the day of integration. We've replaced all of our 250 reports from DOMO in to 8-10 reports in Sigma and the users feel like they got an upgrade.

Bonus points: Having Cortex with all the LLM models built in to snowflake, makes the sigma integration with snowflake just the ideal setup.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

The folder / user management style is a little rough still.

It doesn't have all of the visualizations we've come to expect from a Tableau. or DOMO.

It isn't intuitive on your first pass. You need to have someone guide you through the thought process to building dashboards. Once you get it, it's easy, but the learning curve on the first 3 dashboards is steep.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a nursing university. Sigma allows us to analyze which students are at risk, and make calls in real time to have AI analyze what mitigation efforts would be best. It let's us rebuild everything we had in DOMO, but not double load the data.

It let's me track our costs and usage in Snowflake, and keep those under control (about $20,000 a year less, and we added in AI)

 ### 32. Effortless Data Access and Visualization for Everyone

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Supriya P. | HRBP, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

This tool is built to ensure that data is both accessible and actionable for all team members, no matter their technical expertise. By offering a user-friendly, spreadsheet-like interface, it simplifies data exploration and visualization for everyone. It is very easy to implement.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

At the moment, I have no complaints. This has truly made my life much easier.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool is making it easy for me to create data analytics right at my fingertips.

 ### 33. Makes working with data super simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vijay S. | Customer Success Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like that sigma feels like using a normal spreadsheet but it connects to all our data. I don’t need to be data expert to pull numbers or make reports. The dashboards are clean and it’s easy to share with my team so everyone sees the same info. It's really easy to implement and super fast onboarding

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

When the data size is very big sometimes it takes time to load. also some chart options could be more flexible

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use sigma to check our business performance and create reports for both our internal team and clients. earlier we depended on tech people and finance people for every small data request but now we can do most of it ourselves. It saves time and helps us take quick decisions

 ### 34. Seamlessly Replaces Palantir with Live Data Link

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like that with Sigma, my data is directly linked which means there's no need for refreshing, and there's absolutely no lag. The ease of initial setup was a breeze, it was really easy peasy.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

I think the SharePoint integration could be improved with Sigma. I'd like it if they included it.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma directly links data with no refreshing or lag, effectively replacing Palantir Foundry.

 ### 35. Ease of Use with Room for Visual Improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like Sigma for its ease of use, which makes it very accessible. The initial setup was also very easy, which was a big plus for me.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

I find the Sankey charts lacking because there's no option to choose color per stage value.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma simplifies dashboarding and data apps for business analytics with its ease of use.

 ### 36. Nimble Data Analytics That Scales with Ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phillip K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like that Sigma is nimble, advanced, dynamic, and innovative. It's great because it scales with our business, and the initial setup was easy.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Compatibility with RDS like PostgreSQL

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sigma for data analytics to enhance data-driven decision making and product performance. It's nimble, advanced, dynamic, and innovative, scaling with our business.

 ### 37. Excellent Snowflake Query Pushback and Writeback Capabilities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suresh E. | Director of analytics, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

We have been using sigma for the last one year and it is really good at the snowflake query pus back and the write back capability. We are planning to go all in with our bi reporting

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

I think the input takes are great but it is not matured yet

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Write back applications

 ### 38. Potentializing the Way of Working

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro G. | Marketing Department Specialist , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Ever since we began to use Sigma software in our firm we have realized that there is a great shift in our way of doing things. I like Sigma mostly because of its usability. It is so simple to use and we were able to deploy the tool in no time at all and there is no hours of training required. All the members of the team, including the most junior and the most experienced have found an easy fit to change. I like one of the features which is customization capabilities. The software is customisable to our workflow and every feature feels customised. This has enabled us to adopt adequate remedies that have streamlined our routines and increased our productivity.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Nevertheless, I believe that there are certain elements which could be enhanced. In spite of the software being very comprehensive, I have at times realized that some of the updates or new features sometimes take a period of time to ensure that they are fine-tuned and this is rather frustrating. Responsive customer support would be also nice; in some cases we have had to wait longer than would be our preference to get a problem resolved.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The small disadvantages notwithstanding, Sigma has proved to be an extremely helpful tool in the problem-solving process of our company. E.g. we introduced the project management module, which allowed us to have a better picture on the current development of our tasks. Not only did this assist in us meeting our deadlines but also greater communication amongst the team members as the team is on view of what is being done by each one.

 ### 39. Professional review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** deepthi r. | Power BI Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

The User interface and data models, multi-tenant feature are really great

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Sigma can be better with more custom visuals

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are making dashboards for very essential reports of a clinical trails

 ### 40. Great BI tool, constantly improving and releasing new features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barbara S. | Data Analyst III, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Sigma is visually appealing and less clunky than other BI tools we tried in the company. The UI is very intuitive and user-friendly, and it works great for team collaboration, especially with two people working in the same workbook at the same time. Since our company started using their products about a year ago, we have only heard positive feedback from our customers. And I can not end this without mentioning their live chat support, I've bugged their team countless times and they were always helpful!

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Downsides are some bugs, which are usually resolved by refreshing the page, but are still annoying when they happen. Some of the capabilities, like maps, are still behind the larger BI tools. But with them releasing features as frequently as they do, I am sure these won't be issues for much longer

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TRansforming the way we report on our client's data. It significantly benefited our team on how fast we can develop and deliver a product that functions, works as expected, AND looks good.

 ### 41. Enterprise Level Analytics Iteration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abram Y. | Senior Data Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

The ability to quickly iterate on analytics reports and analysis for both internal and external use cases. Nothing gets customers more motivated than seeing quick turnaround with feedback against their data. Iterating directly in native applications can take multiple sprints to complete, and by that time you've lost the valuable customer interest and engagement.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

To my knowledge you can't create custom visuals to drop into sigma. For our use case however once we hit a mature level with reports and views thats the trigger to devlop in house directly in the application.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma allows enterprise level visibility against data warehouse solutions. It also lets us quickly embed analytics and iterate with external customers while we develop. Without this we would have to build static presentations to discus with customers and lose the benefit of live interactive engagement. Internally training business users to query against databases is not maintainable. Sigma allows them to self service to a degree and takes a load off the data engineering teams shoulders.

 ### 42. Recent Product Development is a Hit! Tremendous Impact to our Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex G. | Lead Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

As someone who has used Sigma daily for 2.5 years, the product development in the last 6 months has made such a huge difference to our organization's data. We appreciate being able to write SQL, execute queries, and create visualizations in one platform. Funny enough the Column Details and being able to search the Column names is also super helpful. Huge fans of the new updates (tabbed containers, modals, custom context menus, etc.). Even the new feature of changing the # type in the top left saves us tremendous amounts of time.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

In the last 6 months, datasets are now buggy and you are unable to write without getting kicked from the query. When I brought this up on a demo, I was told "who uses datasets anymore" which led to a distrust. A lot of our historic dashboards rely on datasets and it makes editing / modifying queries near impossible. I have to do everything in the Explore mode and copy/paste over. We have reported it countless times over the last few months but have gotten no updates or current workarounds.

The pop-up prompting the user to choose a Data Model instead of a Dataset was confusing at first. It took me months to finally try Data Models since its documentation did not provide a clear translation for how it is meant to "replace" datasets. The Metrics are a good idea, but time consuming to set up compared to writing the equations in the workbook itself.

We are looking to embed a Sigma dashboard in our mobile app but are running into restrictions with Sigma. Can't hide the bottom toolbar, can't turn off export functionality, etc.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The recent product developments are allowing us to analyze data & provide actionable, easy-to-digest dashboards for our customers. We will rely more on Sigma embeds in place of engineering efforts due to the ease of use & flexibility to publish and immediately update in our platform.

 ### 43. Easy Creation of Reusable, Business-Wide Universal Metrics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

It’a easy to create universal metrics that can be endorsed and reused across the business

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Without knowing all the features, you may not be making the most of it

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma covers all of our data analytics needs and helps us drive our business upward

 ### 44. Effortless analytics & dashboarding made Easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yulian R. | SysAdmin - Compliance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

We have been using Sigma for nearly two months across our company, primarily for product, sales, portal access analytics, and statistical visualizations. Sigma’s spreadsheet-like interface makes it incredibly easy for team members—technical and non‑technical alike—to explore live data directly from our cloud warehouse.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Sigma is intuitive and easy to use, but it has a few limitations. Customization for visualizations is somewhat limited, performance can slow down with large datasets, and certain report tweaks—like table joins—can be tricky to configure.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma helps us turn raw data into actionable insights without relying heavily on engineering resources. It simplifies access to product, sales, and portal usage analytics through live dashboards and self-service reporting. This has improved cross-team visibility, accelerated decision-making, and reduced the time spent on manual data analysis.

 ### 45. Strong Support and Powerful Performance on Millions of Records

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

It's strong support and functionalities like write back and performance on top of millions of records.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Nothing as of now, all work great. Action mechanism complexity can be made lower.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Insurance leads intake to actuarial and underwriting use cases

 ### 46. 45 years presenting data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve B. | CEO Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

The ease of use with absolutely no SQL or programming required. Formulas can be utilized for everything I have ever wanted to do.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

I had to sit here and think about this. I couldn't come up with any negatives. I suppose in fairness, I do have a very good data team who organizes the data and makes it available to me to use in Sigma, so maybe that technical database back end would be a barrier to a user who was trying to just use csv files etc. I find that I can supplement with csv's where I find data that is not in our warehouse.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Complex and messy data from close to 20 different sources, all government data, all publicly available. I have 19 years parsing this data and have never come close to the story telling I can do with Sigma

 ### 47. Great Usability and a Polished Experience for End Users

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Usability of the system is great and the final product is nice for end users to use

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Sometimes functionality is slow to roll out

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a tool that allows for data insights to be shared with my stakeholders

 ### 48. Best BI tool I've used!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allyson M. | Product Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Sigma is the most intuitive and flexible BI tool I’ve worked with. The spreadsheet-like interface lowers the barrier for non-technical users, while SQL compatibility and CTE support give analysts like me the power to dig deep. I also appreciate how seamlessly it integrates with our cloud data warehouse—no more worrying about data pipelines or stale dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Some of the custom visual tweaks are limited, which is mildly annoying for aesthetics, but I only make dashboards that are internal to the company (not for customers), so it's not a huge blocker.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma helps me gather the data in one place to answer the big business questions that I just can't get to in a product analytics tool. I LOVE the way it sits on top of our data warehouse (Snowflake) - it makes it so much easier to create massive datasets and analyze them in a way that's consumable for a wide audience. The team at Sigma has also partnered with my team at Snowflake to help me get the most out of the tool - as the solo analyst at my company, the help is SO appreciated! Instead of being limited to product events and analytics, I can bring in data from our entire company across sales, marketing, finance, product, etc.

 ### 49. Low overhead, intuitive BI platform.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas N. | Data Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

The platform can do nearly all things a BI platform needs to do in a very straightforward way. The UI/UX is great and users have had no problem understanding the features. We really like how easy it is to connect to the popular data warehousing platforms how simple the adminstration is. The customer support has also been incredible for feature request, questions, etc...

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Nothing in particular. The dashboarding features are not quite as built out as other platforms so for companies that rely heavily on Power BI/Tableau it might be more of a complement rather than a replacement.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma has been a great resource for self service analytics, and for users to develop quick reports using an excel like interface with the latest data from the warehouse.

 ### 50. Always Improving with Constant New Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nestor T. | Senior Data Scientist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

New features constantly being added. Seamless integration with Snowflake.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Custom plug ins aren’t universal. Visualization charts need more diversity.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dashboards are providing user insights for driving impact.
