Insights Hub has become a critical central store for all key information in the cloud. We use it internally to track and analyse our machines across a global network. Our customers using it for verification, consumption and business insights that they've never had perform. What do you dislike about Insights Hub? Insights Hub is like a series of building blokes which takes time to come together. I wouldn't say I dislike that but it takes time to do that. We've been on a journey with Siemens and that needs to move at a pace that works for both parties. The best part about it is how it turns data into action. It’s not just a dashboard and numbers — it actually helps teams see where they can make an impact, especially with sustainability. I love how it connects different parts of the business and gives clear details of what’s working and what’s not, so it’s not just reacting — it’s improving in real time. It can feel overwhelming at times — there’s so much data and so many tools that it takes a while to become familiar with everything. It lacks a clear and accessible new-user-friendly guide, and at times the site feels very crowded. In my case, I have dyslexia, and it doesn’t support the font called OpenDyslexic. The screen reader only works on sections of the page, not all the text, which is essential for me as a dyslexic user. It is my favorite software to use for performance monitoring and preventative maintenance. Its integration into all of our other tools is incredible and very helpful! Its open source feel to its APIs is amazing and definitely helps rapid fire development of analysis and predictive tools. It also has great out of the box tools that are very useful and effective. What do you dislike about Insights Hub? The only thing that I dislike about Insights Hub is that I wish they had reached out to my company sooner such that I could start using the software earlier! There are many ways in which Insights Hub has benefit our company and it would take too long to describe them all here-- so I focus on the most impactful thus far. The first being our energy savings. Using Insights Hub data and tools we have been able to optimize our installations for energy efficiency. Using Insights Hub to provide details and "insight" (haha) into our energy curves, we have reprogrammed our PLC and control systems software to run more efficiently. This optimization feedback loop of insight into PLC software upgrades provides continual improvement to our product! Another example is in the preventative maintenance sphere... We have used insights hub to predict the replacement of various components in various installations. This has been achieved through the use of vibration monitoring sensors and their corresponding vibration trends to predict failures of bearings and other rotating components. I’ve been using Insights Hub for a few months now, and I can’t believe how much easier it’s made managing data. Everything’s in one place, which has saved me a ton of time. The dashboard is intuitive, and I can get the exact reports I need without a hassle. I’m not a data expert, but this tool is so user-friendly that it doesn’t matter. I also love how customizable it is. I can track what really matters to me, and the support team has been fantastic whenever I’ve had questions.
