  ### 1. Flexible KYC/KYB Journeys and a Solid API for Compliance-Driven Onboarding

**What do you like best about Shufti?**

We use Shufti primarily for KYC/KYB and compliance-driven onboarding flows in a regulated fintech env. What I appreciate most is the flexibility of their journeys and the overall API structure.

From a product standpoint, it lets us build and maintain our own onboarding logic on our platform, while triggering Shufti verification journeys only when needed. That separation matters to us: we don’t want a black-box onboarding tool; we want control over sequencing and our compliance logic. Shufti supports that approach.

The coverage (individual and business verification), the ability to configure flows, and the relatively straightforward integration have made it a practical fit for a regulated setup. It works best when you already know what you want to build and need a verification provider that plugs into your architecture rather than dictating it.

**What do you dislike about Shufti?**

Like most compliance tools, it’s powerful,but that also means you need clarity and strong internal alignment before you implement it. It isn’t a plug-and-play solution where everything is automatically structured for you. You have to define your own flows, edge cases and operational handling upfront.

From a UX and configuration standpoint, a few areas could be more intuitive, particularly when you’re coordinating across product, tech, and compliance teams. Some configuration choices aren’t immediately clear unless you’ve spent time digging through the documentation.

That said, most of the friction we’ve run into feels typical for regulated fintech environments rather than something specific to Shufti. To me, it’s more a reflection of the complexity of the space than a true product flaw.

**What problems is Shufti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shufti covers the identity and business verification layer, so we don’t have to build that infrastructure ourselves.

It helps us meet regulatory requirements, set up compliant onboarding flows, and move faster without compromising our AML standards. We keep control of the logic on our side, while Shufti takes care of the verification piece.

Overall, it lets us stay focused on product and risk design while still ticking the compliance boxes properly.

  ### 2. Efficient KYC Platform with Strong Global Coverage

**What do you like best about Shufti?**

What I like most about Shufti Pro is how easy and intuitive the platform is to use. The interface is clean and straightforward, which made it simple for our team to get started without a steep learning curve. Integration with our existing systems was smooth, and the API worked well within our workflow. I also appreciate how it streamlines identity and document verification, making customer onboarding faster and reducing friction during the signup process. Overall, it has helped us handle compliance requirements more efficiently while maintaining a seamless experience for our users.

**What do you dislike about Shufti?**

During one instance, we encountered a fraud attempt in which certain users were able to successfully complete identity verification using damaged (“broken”) identification documents. While these documents were technically accepted by the system, their compromised physical condition rendered them unsuitable for defending disputes with banks and credit card issuers.

We formally raised this concern with Shufti Pro, and their team responded promptly and professionally. They provided detailed guidance on how to reconfigure our account settings to enforce stricter document validation criteria and prevent similar occurrences in the future. Since implementing these adjustments, we have not experienced a recurrence of this issue. Their responsiveness and willingness to collaborate on a solution were greatly appreciated.

**What problems is Shufti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Due to regulatory and compliance obligations, we are required to conduct thorough identity verification of our users. In addition, it is essential for our organization to ensure that verified documentation meets the necessary standards to effectively defend against potential bank and credit card disputes arising from fraudulent activity. These requirements make robust, reliable, and audit-ready verification processes a critical component of our operations.

**What do you like best about Shufti?**

I like working with Shufti Pro because it delivers a powerful combination of speed, flexibility, and reliability in identity verification. In today’s fast-moving digital environment, efficient KYC processes are essential, and Shufti Pro makes onboarding seamless without compromising compliance. The platform’s KYC solutions are fast and user-friendly, helping businesses verify customers in real time while maintaining a smooth customer experience.

What stands out most is the accuracy of the system. The verification results are reliable and supported by advanced technology that minimizes false positives while maintaining strict compliance standards. The flexibility of the platform also makes it adaptable across industries, whether for fintech, banking, e-commerce, or other regulated sectors.

**What do you dislike about Shufti?**

The initial user Journey was created back in 2022 somewhat in isolation, and was somewhat complex out of the box as a novice.

**What problems is Shufti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Removes delays in getting client Director and PSC ID&V verified. Previously, we had to rely on sales teams to collect and process documentation, which often slowed onboarding and created inconsistencies. With Shufti Pro, verification is completed quickly and directly, significantly reducing turnaround times. The automated process delivers higher-quality, standardized results, minimizing human error and ensuring completeness. For audit purposes, I am far more confident in the accuracy, traceability, and compliance of the verification records, giving us stronger governance and a more efficient client onboarding experience overall.

It works very well when embedded into our existing KYC onboarding flow, and it fits smoothly into the process we already have in place.

In some cases, the document validation feels a bit too strict.

Shufti reliably helps us obtain UBO personal documents with real-time validation, saving end users a lot of frustration.

**What do you like best about Shufti?**

Shufti Pro is easy to use and integrate with other software.  It helps to verify identiy and documents to ensure that the user is the tru owner intending to use the identify and that the documents being used are genuine and valid. It makes onboarding easy and reduces the rate of abandonmnet. It provides multi-lingual support,and is easy to integrate.

**What do you dislike about Shufti?**

Ocassional issues with verification may occur. Other than that, it is very helpful

**What problems is Shufti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shufti Pro makes the process of identify and document verification very easy and seamless. It saves time, and reduces the rate of abandonment due to lengthy verification procedures. It helps to prevent fraud, financial loss and the use of dummy profiles with fake documents.
