"Easy to work with, but could use better backlog management features."
4/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

The tickets/stories are easily updatable and update in near real time. Its also very easy to search and find things Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

Backlog mgmt. at the individual story level is lacking, specifically, as it relates to viewing a story level backlog by sprint. It is hard to prioritize at this level as a product owner and see what stories are tied to each parent epic. Jira does this well and Shortcut seems to lack this view.

It would be great to see all the stories in a given project order by priority with the ability to click on a epic and filter to those stories across sprints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Takes a little bit of getting used to, but overall a great project management solution"
4/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

It has everything you need to track task statuses and organize your work. The filtering is sufficiently powerful so that I can always find what I need fairly quickly. And it's a small thing, but the dark theme is a nice touch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

It takes a bit of getting used to switching from another system; the naming conventions are different than others (e.g. Jira). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shortcut (new experience)"
5/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

I love that I can review my tickets, and also what my team has submitted for review. I also like that I can easily search for what the issue I am experiencing is by using tags and keywords. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

I do not dislike anything about Shortcut. The only slight inconvenience caused was due to the name has changed, and all of my works that were previously titled "Clubhouse" needed to be updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect in every way"
5/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

I have been using Shortcut for several years. I love the UX, the ability to segment work by projects, and using the kanban style board to project manage my tasks and team. The pricing is very reasonable for the product's capabilities, not to mention the invaluable benefit of the analytics/reporting tool. The ability to track and measure tasks allows an organization to see where resources are being allocated and to identify areas where potential loss may occur (i.e. (ad-hoc requests that take away from primary goals). Shortcut provides visibility into team management and helps to inform all members of the team - from the do-ers to the decision makers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

I wish more reporting features were available with the free version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great way to collaboratively manage a software project"
4/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

Short is great, I love the power search features that allow you to easy filter down onto tickets that are important to a given context. I also find shortcuts to provide interactions that support better collaboration within a team, for example, you can assign two owners to one ticket—allowing people to pair on work easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

Although most things about shortcuts are great, I find lacking in the ability to create drafts for tickets. Often the page will reload, and i will loose a draft i had written. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Project Management Tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

I like having a custom workflow for projects that allows me and my team to effectively track where we are in the process of multiple things at one time. This is by far the best option I have found for my business without breaking our bank. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

My least favorite thing about Shortcut is how cluttered things can become with many projects happening at once. For my purposes, there are some features that are not needed, so a simpler version might even be more helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I brought shortcut to my current company nearly 4 years ago and still like it."
5/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

The best part of shortcut is the intuitive UI and the easy way to have everyone collaborating in backlog management. I also like the integrations, e.g. with slack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

I wouldn't say I like that it shows up closed epics or archived teams in the ticket dropdown; this is an easy point for failure. Also we rely on the api and even years after shortcut released iterations this field is still not available thru the api. We do need custom fields but I see it at the roadmap and I am excited about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and always improving"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

It is flexible enough to use it in different ways depending on one's needs. For example, I'm not in Engineering, but I interact with them often and Shortcut facilitates communication that is efficient for everyone. It is easy to find recent tickets and keep track of comments and updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

It's pretty clearly designed for engineering teams. This is not a negative thing, but since I'm not an engineer there are loads of features, buttons, and functions that I essentially have to ignore to tailor it to my own needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Product"
3/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

Short cut's a pretty good project management tool. It's interface is similar to others (like Jira). It can be hard to navigate without a good project manager, but unique project/task naming helps because then you can use the search function to find what you're looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

Slow load times and sometimes the search function completely not working really keep this program from being the best it could be. Usually refreshing the page fixes any problem, but it's still a little buggy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid planning and alignment tool"
4/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

Has all the basic functionality that we need to keep track of our work and keep the team aligned. There's a fairly generous free tier. I also like the keyboard shortcuts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

The performance of the web app has definitely gotten worse since I started using shortcut a few years ago -- it used to be noticeably snappier than everything else I used, and now I would say it's just average. I also find the sorting/filtering/searching functionality pretty limited -- I'd love to just be able to write SQL! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
