Not holding up to our expecations, way too expensive, mediocre support. **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2024 **What do you like best about Shopware?** We are rather stuck at Shopware and would not choose it again based of what we know today. **What do you dislike about Shopware?** Shopware uses integrations/plugins to promote the system, but those plugins are not maintained properly and many of them fail and/or are getting incompatible (we are using the cloud version). This is true for functional extensions (such as DHL integration) as well as themes. In the end we are sticking to the core system mainly, which lacks a lot of what we thought could be possible using the system (design, usability, integrations). The Shopware support is very slow. Many times it is not even possible to create a ticket, since the ticketing system itself is faulty. If a ticket is created, most of the time they make use of the maximum duration a ticket is allowed to have without responding just to ask something simple, that has been described already in the ticket, giving them another 4 days to respond. Overall this is pretty frustrating and causes problem on all ends. For what it is, shopware is way too expensive. **What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?** We can sell goods in the internet, that is it. Shopware 6 might be worth a look. **What do you dislike about Shopware?** Shopware 5 has been a solution a small business can be run with. With version 6, the total cost of ownership has exponentially grown. Schöppingen is no longer targeting this kind of business. It is no longer a solution you can start and run with but is lacking major features to be purchased on top now. **What problems is Shopware solving and how is that benefiting you?** SW allows me to customize the user experience and customer journey to my demands. It would do so even more if UI basics would be already in and properly so. They are not and is it not recommended to start from scratch with. It helped us to grow our E-Commerce business. **What do you dislike about Shopware?** With Shopware 6 a software has been built, that is worse than Shopware 5 in its functionality fundamentals, way more expensive and in comparison to other software solutions a bad decision. I pay much more per month for much less service and therefore quality, so I don't see how I could be happy. **What do you dislike about Shopware?** everything takes much longer, lots of features that were integrated before are only available with expensive and non-performing plug ins. working with shopware 5/6 has become an everyday chore: checking payments, changing an invoice, downloading the month's invoices, updating the site, changing the 1st banner on the homepage. Everything has become complicated and expensive. This increases chances for potential bugs. Especially with plugins. The default theme isn't very good. The themes you can get for money aren't really good either.
