The technicians drive the repair order status, so we always know when a unit is ready to be reviewed and invoiced. The technicians are now requesting parts from their work stations and not the parts department. Tying the employee timeclock to the labor timeclock has allowed us to capture more billable hours by not allowing the technician to punch off of a work order and not punch into another one. It's really quick and easy to understand, which makes the invoicing process faster and allows for easy review of information at a later date. The statistics and reporting are impactful, changing our business by improving tracking and billing. I like how fast, easy, and intuitive it is, and it offers more features than any other software we've tried. The initial setup was super breezy with no carryover issues or downtime, helped by a knowledgeable representative who ensured everything operated exactly as we wanted. I appreciate ShopView- Heavy Duty Repair Shop Management for its excellent customer service and hassle-free software. It's very easy to use, perfect to track everything, and significantly improves shop and technician efficiency. I find the parts management well-executed, and the ability to create invoices and track efficiency, like seeing the hours worked by technicians and the duration of jobs, is incredibly helpful. The best part of ShopView for me is the AI built-in features. They help the techs write professional work orders and help the service writer explain why a task should be done and sell that job. This lets us create bigger work orders and get the higher paying jobs. The AI has helped us several times sell preventative maintenance tasks that save the customer money in the long run and keep the unit running and making money. I also like being able to see all the work orders that need to be completed and how many lines are on each work order and how completed they are right from the WIP. That makes it very easy to judge how the work is being done and how long until there will be a free bay for the next unit to come in. We use it to manage inventory and workflow through the shop, including invoicing out customers and making sure our customers are paying their bills and keeping the money flowing through our shop. The software is very solid. My boss handles the integrations, and he said once it's set up it does everything automatically without us having to intervene. The great team at ShopView moved all of our information over and gave us great training. They were there every step of the way and support us day to day when we run into problems, helping us correct anything that comes up. I'd easily recommend it a 10, no question about that. I sometimes have problems with the parts side in ShopView- Heavy Duty Repair Shop Management. The parts doesn't always show up in inventory. It doesn't happen all too much. It happens from time to time with random parts. We found if you exit out of the screen and come back in then you are able to search it up again. From the WIP I can see all work orders, how many lines each has, and how complete they are, making it easy to judge free bays.
