"Best-in-Class Developer Experience for Building Shopify Stores"
5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

World leader in eCommerce. We've built many many stores for clients and in house work with Shopify. Their developer experience is second to none with their Partner portal and with their GaphQL API, the Shopify CLI and the documentation. Very easy to build flows or use it in a headlerless way. Great not having to worry about down time or resources and payment processing is included. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

Can't customise checkout enough without the Plus plan which is very expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use, Powerful, and Reliable for Growing Online Stores"
4/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

What I like best about Shopify is its ease of use combined with powerful functionality. The platform makes it incredibly simple to set up, manage, and scale an online store without requiring deep technical expertise.

The interface is clean and intuitive, allowing merchants to focus on products, customers, and growth rather than complex configurations. The ecosystem of themes, apps, and integrations provides strong flexibility, making it easy to customize stores based on specific business needs.

I also appreciate the reliability and performance. Shopify handles hosting, security, and updates seamlessly, which reduces operational overhead and provides peace of mind.

Overall, Shopify offers a well-balanced solution that works equally well for beginners and growing businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

One drawback of Shopify is the cost structure, particularly as a store scales. While the platform is easy to start with, expenses can add up through subscription plans, paid themes, and third-party apps.

Another limitation is customization flexibility. Although Shopify is highly capable, achieving certain advanced or highly specific design and functionality changes may require additional development effort or reliance on apps.

Transaction fees (depending on the payment setup) can also be a consideration for some businesses.

Overall, these trade-offs are understandable given the platform’s convenience and reliability, but they can impact budgeting and advanced customization needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined E-commerce Success with Easy Setup"
4/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

I like Shopify's very attractive and interactive interface. It makes the experience more engaging. The fast opening of the Shopify page is another aspect I really appreciate. It helps us stay motivated while working. The different patterns and interfaces on the page make it easy to identify and differentiate information, which is a key aspect for us. Also, setting up Shopify for the first time was quite easy, taking only about ten to fifteen seconds, which was very convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

Sometimes the page loads very slowly when trying to load multiple pages. I think that can be improved. And apart from that, there are certain glitches in Shopify. For example, whenever we try to open a certain page, it sometimes does not load well, so that also can be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly with Professional Themes, But Costly"
5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

I like being able to buy and use new different themes with Shopify. It's nice to customize my website by myself without needing to hire anyone, especially since it's user-friendly and tech-savvy folks can handle it easily. I love how everything looks more professional, and I appreciate having all the tools in one place. The initial setup wasn't hard, particularly because the platform is user-friendly, which makes picking up new things manageable even when you're new to the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

I think the cost of having to set up everything is going up and adds on require extra payment. I feel like Shopify should look at this and try to help new businesses by offering these for free. As we grow, maybe it makes sense to pay for those depending on usage, but initially, it's tough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Shopify helps me set up stores with ease. I do not have to worry a lot about checkouts or setting up checkout flow. The plugins and templates keep things easy. What do you dislike about Shopify?

The fact that free trial is so short is an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Informative Reporting and Great Chat Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

Best way to get updates about almost every aspect of the business. So easy to use and very informative from start to end. Thanks Shopify. Reporting is the best and on line chat for any issues or modifications on report is the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

As a recent user, didn’t find anything yet which requires more attention and nothing so far to dislike. Will keep using it and update for things required attention and need changes to customization of experience. Thanks Shopify. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized and User-Friendly with a Costly Upscale"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

I use Shopify to manage and run my online store, from listing products to processing orders and payments. It makes it easy to keep everything organized in one place and handle day-to-day operations without much hassle. I like how easy Shopify is to use and how everything is centralized in one platform. It saves time, keeps things organized, and makes running an online store much more straightforward. The initial setup was pretty straightforward and easy to follow. I was able to get my store up and running quickly without needing much technical knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

Some features can get expensive as you scale, especially with apps and transaction fees. It would be nice to have more built-in features so I don't have to rely on as many third-party apps. Better pricing flexibility and more customization options out of the box would make it even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Ecommerce with Some Shipping Hiccups"
5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

I love how Shopify is so easy to use, like a super simple plug and play system where you don't have to know how to create a website. Everything is there for you in one spot. It's excellent that it just makes everything super easy, especially for someone operating a print on demand clothing business. The fact that it takes care of the issue of not knowing how to run or create a website is a huge plus. Additionally, having everything in one central location, like shipping and easy customer service, is very convenient. The initial setup was extremely easy, fast, and straightforward, which I really appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

Definitely the shipping. If Shopify could easily handle the shipping so you don't have to go in and change shipping profiles and adjust them and monitor them, it would be better. Having this included automatically would really help a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Hosting with Seamless Payment Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

I use Shopify for hosting and handling payments on our website. It's reliable and easy to manage, with smooth payment integration. I like the easy-to-use, reliable hosting, SSL integration, and payment integration, which simplify website management and ensure smooth operations for both admin and customers. Its all-in-one ecosystem, including app integration, security, and scalability, allows us to expand easily and handle growing traffic without major changes. The initial setup was quick and straightforward, requiring minimal configuration to get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

Pricing can be a bit high, especially with additional app costs. Customization is limited without deep coding knowledge, relying on third-party apps for advanced features increased both cost and complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifies E-Commerce Setup, but Pricey Add-Ons"
5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

I use Shopify to create online stores for my clients with less budget and time. It simplifies all the complex requirements of running an e-commerce website, so I or my client don't need to be tech-savvy to manage products and orders. Shopify removes all the technical headaches by allowing us to select a theme and deploy the website live, eliminating the need for coding to implement payment gateways or product tracking. This enables my clients to focus more on their business without having a full-time tech employee. Comparatively, Shopify is much easier than other tools like WooCommerce, as you only need to select some options and provide information to start your first online store. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

One thing that could be improved is its pricing and requirements of paid apps to add extra features on the website. Features like advanced product filtering, checkout page editor, and upsell options should be available for free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
