"AVOID SHOPIFY!"
0/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

E-commerce integration between online store and POS system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

So much, it constantly makes updates that don't provide any meaningful benefit to businesses. I'm convinced these updates are just made to justify the wages of the UI designers. It's incredibly frustrating that these updates are made with no ability to revert back to the old settings. The support line is useless, their agents aren't able to provide help in any way. If it wasn't for e-commerce and POS integration we would bail so fast. It's a premium cost platform with bells & whistles made of glass. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined E-commerce Setup with Powerful Automations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

I like the easy website templates on Shopify and appreciate the email systems along with all the various apps. The automation features make running my business easier and save me time since I don't have to manually perform tasks. Transporting my products over and typing in descriptions of products were easy during the initial setup. Overall, Shopify is more favorable for e-commerce, which is why I switched from Wix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

I wish Shopify had better templates. I think more versatile templates that work based on the type of business would be an improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless E-Commerce with Intuitive Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

I love that Shopify made setting up my store super easy without needing to know coding. Managing orders, inventory, and payments all in one place saves a lot of time. The dashboard is pretty intuitive and lets me see everything at a glance like sales, pending orders, and low stock alerts without digging through menus. I find the app integrations solid, allowing me to connect email marketing, shipping, and accounting tools without any technical hassle. Customer support has been helpful; the few times I've reached out, they actually solved my issues instead of just sending me to a help article. The initial setup was smooth and I got the store up and running within a day or two, with Shopify's import tools helping the migration process. Even with just me and a part-time helper, Shopify handled everything well without feeling overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

The pricing feels a bit steep once you start needing more advanced features. You end up paying a lot for apps on top of the monthly plan. Also, transaction fees are annoying if you are not using Shopify Payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Complete and secure e-commerce ecosystem, ideal to start selling quickly"
4/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

Shopify allows access to a 3-day free trial, with the trial it is possible to perform the basic configurations to start selling products online. Shopify offers an ideal ecosystem for e-commerce, including inventory management, report visualization, and management of payment methods including credit cards and test payment methods in a simple and effective way. Shopify offers a layer of security, preventing common attacks on the website.

Shopify synchronizes through apps with multiple extensions, including Google Analytics and YouTube, facilitating the tracking of websites and e-commerce events.

Shopify is as robust a platform as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

Shopify makes it difficult to incorporate custom events into the data layer that travels to platforms like Google Tag Manager, making it complex to track and personalize the data sent to Tag Manager.

Shopify offers data dashboards with basic options and simple charts, but it is difficult to use complex or robust charts for website monitoring.

In some areas, especially in Latin America, some payment gateways are not available or there is no integration with them. Some have stopped working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Packed with Helpful Analytics, but with Some Downsides"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

Easy to understand and intuitive to use. I like that it lets me edit both products and the website, and the analytics are helpful as well. It has good software and generally does not crash. It also has good support processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

The fees can be annoying, and the fact that it automatically charges $15.00 for a chargeback (even when the product itself may cost less than $15.00), making it extremely difficult as a business owner because I am paying MORE than what just processing a refund would be. It can also sometimes crash or be down, which is frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shopify makes store management and integrations simple"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

Shopify is easy to manage from both a developer and business perspective. We use it to handle products, orders, and payments all from a single dashboard. Theme customization and API integrations are straightforward, and the app ecosystem makes it simple to add shipping, payment, and marketing features as needed. Shopify also takes care of hosting, security, and performance, so we don’t have to manage server infrastructure ourselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

Transaction fees and app-related costs can add up as a store grows, particularly when you need multiple plugins to cover different functions. More advanced customization can also be limited unless you move to Shopify Plus or invest in custom development. In addition, checkout customization and some backend controls remain more restricted than on fully open-source platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Flexible and Cost-Effective E-commerce Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

I really like Shopify's pricing, especially at the start with the subscription costing just one dollar per month for the first three months. I appreciate the great features Shopify offers, including the ability to modify the website as I like, which is especially beneficial if you know how to code. Unlike other platforms where every website looks the same, Shopify provides many templates and allows you to add your own code. The Shopify store also has many apps that enhance my shop's functionality. The initial setup is easy; I just needed to buy a domain name and start designing. Even if you don't know how to code, there are some great designs available in Shopify that you can simply plug in and they work fine. Overall, my experience on Shopify was great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

Sometimes the website takes too long to load, but I think maybe it's because the internet connection is bad. Also, they could add a way to stop spy tools from spying on other shops. I hope they can add more features to support cash on delivery, which is common in the Algerian market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shopify’s ecosystem gives us enterprise level capability"
5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

It allows us to move quickly, launching campaigns, updating product pages, building landing pages and implementing promotional strategies without heavy developer reliance. That agility is critical in a fast paced retail environment.

At the same time, Shopify’s ecosystem gives us enterprise level capability. The app integrations, automation tools, reporting and checkout optimisation allow us to continuously refine performance and improve conversion rates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

While Shopify is a strong platform overall, there are a few areas where we experience limitations. Advanced customisation can become restrictive without developer support. As a growing brand with both DTC and trade customers, more flexibility natively particularly around tiered pricing, customer segmentation and complex promotions, would reduce reliance on third-party apps. What do you like best about Shopify?

Shopify is an amazing service. I have been using it for 10 years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

There are not many growth areas for the service, truly. One can fully customize the website and offer any product one wants. Perfect payment integration with Stripe & PayPal and many more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shopify: A Complete, All-in-One Platform for My E-Commerce Business"
5/5
What do you like best about Shopify?

I like that Shopify is a complete platform for running my e-commerce, it has all the tool I need to keep up with my clients and to have an online presence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

The only thing I dislike about Shopify is that it is hard to contact customer support. I've only had one issue once and it took me like 10 minutes to figure out how to actually chat with a person to get my issue resolved. The person was helpful tho. But it was difficult to Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
