## Shopify Reviews
  ### 1. Empowerment of e-commerce with a simple user interface

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prabhu B. | Marketing Research and advertising , Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

I like using Shopify because its user interface is very simple. It helps me in e-commerce digital marketing and I don't need a physical store because of it. With its help, my store can be seen across the country. I also like that Shopify's subscription rates are affordable, although I feel the need for some new offers and a slight reduction in price.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Shopify needs more payment gateways and it needs a slightly more modern-looking interface.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify helps me with e-commerce digital marketing, eliminating the need for a physical store and making my shop visible across the country.

  ### 2. User-Friendly but Costly as Business Grows

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jaswanth k.

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

I find Shopify to be a powerful and user-friendly e-commerce platform that makes it easy to create, launch, and manage an online store without needing advanced technical skills. Its clean dashboard and fast setup are really helpful. I appreciate its strong built-in tools for inventory, payments, and shipping, which are excellent for beginners and growing brands. Shopify provides a centralized place to handle the storefront, products, payments, shipping, and sales channels, so I don't have to juggle multiple disconnected tools. I also like that it includes a focused set of e-commerce features covering store design, selling, and day-to-day operations in one platform. The drag-and-drop store builder with customizable themes, integrated payments, inventory and order management, shipping and tax automation, analytics, SEO tools, and abandoned-cart recovery are all valuable. Plus, the POS integration and multi-currency/multi-language support work well for selling online and in person. Overall, it's good for selling products online.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Many advanced features depend on paid apps, so overall costs can rise quickly as your business scales, and some users find its marketing and SEO controls less flexible than specialist tools.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify solves the problem of selling products online and in person efficiently without managing complex tech. It centralizes storefront, product, payment, shipping, and sales channels, reducing the need for multiple disconnected tools.

  ### 3. Creating an online store has become easy, but skills are needed.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dharam .

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

I use Shopify to sell my products globally and create an online store. It helps me list products online and build a digital store. There are many templates available for the digital store, and we can add multiple products to it. I can also receive online payments by integrating a payment partner. Setting up Shopify is very easy, and its interface is user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Shopify is a paid software, so we have to pay for the service and we need some coding skills to use it better. A paid version is required to use all the features.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can transform my physical store into an online shop using Shopify, allowing me to sell products and services globally. It makes creating a digital store easy, with many templates and payment integrations available.

  ### 4. User-Friendly with Great Support, But Pricey Apps

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amber B. | Cashier, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

I really like that Shopify puts all my products in an organized manner and is easy to use and navigate. The customer support through Shopify is awesome, making it a great experience for me. The initial setup was super easy, and I found a lot of helpful videos on YouTube to get started.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

The cost and fees of apps can be a bit pricey.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify organizes my products in a way that's easy to use, with straightforward navigation and awesome customer support.

  ### 5. Good Customer Support, Needs Server Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Md S.

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

I find Shopify to be a good app for selling products, and I've enjoyed using it for the past two months. I appreciate Shopify's customer care support, as it has resolved my problems swiftly. For instance, when I had an issue with money not being added to my account, the customer support team solved it within an hour. The initial setup of Shopify was good as well.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Sometimes I see Shopify server is down. I think Shopify needs to improve their server.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I sell products on Shopify and the customer care support is good. They solved a payment issue quickly.

  ### 6. Great Integration, Smooth Experience Overall minor tweaks

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica F. | Customer Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Ease of integration with other software. It is also straighforward to use and access for first time users.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

The views are not good (literal zooming in and out) to screenshot order information. Theres no way to change billing address ( frequent customer request).

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify helps our business to have everything organized in one place including order history, integrations with rewards/review programs, and shipping.

  ### 7. Commissions and too many addons affect performance, despite the quick installation.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raul G. | director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

the speed at which you can set up your store

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

the commissions and the multiple addons it has make the site perform poorly

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the speed with which I installed the store

  ### 8. Simple and powerful e-commerce platform

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sive M. | Statistician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Shopify is easy to use, quick to set up, and makes managing products, payments, and orders very intuitive, even without technical experience.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Some features require paid apps, and costs can add up if you want store to grow.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify makes it easy to launch and manage an online store without much technical knowledge. It’s helpful for getting started quickly, but with limited capital, it’s hard to see the full benefit yet—time will tell as the store grows.

  ### 9. Great Ecosystem, But Customization Requires Developers

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deyan G. | Owner and Founder at TORO RANK Ltd., Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

It has a large ecosystem and is used worldwide, also has some good features.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Everything that's custom needs a dev, you can't run a Shopify store if you don't have an in-house or you hire consultants.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot of the things are streamlined - markets, shipping ,etc.

  ### 10. Fast, Secure Payments but Third-Party Brands Need Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emanuele P. | Administrator, Computer Networking, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

I feel secure about making payments, an easy mobile version, and also a pretty fast order checkout for those who do not like to spend much time clicking, like me.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Too much marketing in it. I feel overwhelmed!

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify allows me to make the whole process of shopping in a fast, easy, and secure way. The app is also really comfortable with its interface, which I mostly preferred over the one on my desktop pc.

  ### 11. Works but can be hokey

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

It works pretty well. Community forum is good, customer support is pretty good as well.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

You need additional apps for some functionality, which 99.95% of the time brings additional costs.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify itself provides a fairly decent e-commerce system and some of it they take the care out of our hands, which is nice and time saving. Most payment options are build-in.

  ### 12. Great Storefront Customization, But Reporting Needs Major Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

making online sales to customers easier

  ### 13. It's good, but limited customization

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajankumar M.

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

What I found right about Shopify is that its initial setup was somewhat easy.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Limited customization in Shopify, where the user can make only limited changes according to their preference.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is limited customization in Shopify.

  ### 14. Good but not SEO friendly

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul Raphael G. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Shopify is simple and user-friendly. No distraction that we get in wordpress.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

The SEO feature is very limited. I wish there were more SEO options. I can't even add schema mark up without paid plugins. It doesn't make sense in 2025.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use. I don't have see promotional messages when I log into the dashboard that I faced with Wordpress. It helps focus on my tasks.

  ### 15. it's farily easy to use

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Travis K. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Shopify makes it easy to start up and maintain an online presence

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

They have moved away from internal support of platforms like eBay/walmart/amazon/etsy to third party integration apps. These used to be free and added to the value of Shopify. Now they are extra costs to the merchant and make it cost heavy on very small businesses. Costs go up with little return on value.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify helps me maintain / ship / and track orders

  ### 18. Customer Support

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jed C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Shopify has made it easy for us to sell online. It has been integrated to our 3PL system as well as to our customer support platform.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

The customer support is not as efficient.
I have been trying to contact support to resolve an issue about JSON file that is missing details and causes the return information to not push through from Shopify to Cin Core7 which is our inventory management system. We have been assisted by two supports who just stopped responding to emails. I have requested for our issue to be escalated but hasn't been or if have been, it has never been attended to. Really dissapointing.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify is the platform we're using to sell our products online and is very efficient ion that front.

  ### 19. Premium and helpful ecommerce platform

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikash K. | Web Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

It is very good and simple to use, you can add all details of your products without any problem and pictures in good quality.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

It's customer support team is very poor for me, we i need help they didn't response us. They should improve customer support for better quality services.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I saw a video on YouTube about Shopify, it is very good and easy to use ecommerce platform. You can grow your business properly but when some help needed to you , customer support will not be available.

  ### 20. Expensive for what you get

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Shopify is good for product ecommerce sales. It's very very very expensive and they don't support you in any way, so unless you have a lot of experience be careful of that. You need to know coding. You will need a ton of paid apps because Shopify doesn't help you with speed or with security or anything like that.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

It's really expensive and you get basically zero support.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us sell physical products online. But we will
be moving all of our websites to GHL as soon as they update their platform.

  ### 21. Great for ecommerce

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** V f. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

It's very user Friendly - Easy to use for all of the different departement and customer's assistance. The platform is well made

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

I dislike all the pop ups windows that you need to deal with when you try to refund a customer anything on their order. This is highly annoying.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's making it easy to access all information you need within the same platform.

  ### 22. Convenient but expensive

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elle V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

I love the convenience of being able to build and host my own website and store.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

If you are not actually using the store to sell it is expensive.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily allows me to build my shop and have everything all in one.

  ### 23. Expensive E Commerce

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebeka M. | Sales And Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Shopify is great for selling on more than one platform. Several extensions for linking sales to one platform.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

To really customize your site to your liking it takes a good bit of technical knowledge.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify solves the first time site builders program by providing some pre designed site options for free. Templates that's can be redesigned to fit your vision.

  ### 24. Good for startup and small business but bad in long-term

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Easy to use, fully-fledged cms and integration possibility. Great for startups but startups only.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Some functions are limited to Shopify Plus, which is very expensive. ($2500 a month).
And their team changes things without backward compatibility.

An example is the new checkout design that will deprecate the old one next August.
The change makes some functions that we must have won't work, and there are no solutions to solve it. Even if we have a team of IT technicians, we can do nothing.

I won't recommend Shopify to anyone who wants to build a scalable and stable business.
Also, their support is unhelpful unless you upgrade to Shopify Plus, or their support play you until you give up.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to use CMS for E-commerce.

  ### 25. Decent app but lacks customisations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rakhi B. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Shopify is really easy to use, and manage the products and check the orders. It is very user friendly. It simplifies setting up an online store and seamlessly integrates it with platforms such as Facebook and Google Ads. It helps to monitor sales and provides analytics through its Dashboard, to track essential metrics like website visitors.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Limited customisations available, page takes time to load, customer support experience not good

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify is making it easier for merchants to set up stores and start with their online business. It helps in product listings, inventory management, payment processing, and order fulfillment.

Shopify provide a side platform fir online shopping for clients and it provides opportunities for retailers.

  ### 27. Works well

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** LINA S. | C of O, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

It was easy to integrate to our Shopify. It allowed us to use it right away. It is a small fee a month. The best thing about this is that all the mail services are located in one spot!

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

It was hard to learn to use the program at first, but once it was learned how to use we were able to use it smooth sailing! It would be nice to see more videos on how to use the programs

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping by allowing us to be more efficient in shipping and looking up items. It allows us to be more productive with our time!

  ### 28. Creating your own fully customized ecommerce website made easy and affordable

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dev S. | Admission Support Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

It is very easy to set up and gets started with Shopify; there are a lot of features that make work easy, so many themes to choose from, and the best thing is that it has access to an international aggregator for payment processing.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Design customization has limited accessibility, and it is a bit expensive as well for small and medium businesses. Payment gateways are available, but transaction and processing fees are a bit expensive. Email integration is a bit difficult.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me to create my own eCommerce platform too, with hassle-free templates and customization. Its free version is good and manageable as the paid version is a bit expensive for the features they offer

  ### 29. Good tool to build your custom website

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

The user interface. Loads of templates to choose from. you can choose templates based on categories.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

cost is on the higher side. Plans could be made cheaper for the smaller business.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to create website for business without a fuss. All you need is good product pictures in your bag. Rest will be like a walk in the park.

  ### 30. Despite the Hype, Not the Best E-Commerce Platform

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kayla K. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Anyone can create a basic Shopify store using the pre-existing themes. The site analytics and integrations are nice if you are using other software in conjunction.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Unless you know how to code, there are many design limitations with Shopify stores. When we work on sites that the client has already chosen a template, we run into issues with not being able to get sections to display, buttons to work, spacing and sizing issues, etc. Luckily, we know how to code, so we can edit the backend of the page and fix these issues. However, Shopify touts itself as an easy e-commerce web builder that anyone can use, and I think this statement is not completely true.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used Shopify to host a number of our clients' e-commerce websites. The integrations with printers and other suppliers are great for many of our clients that want to print on demand.

  ### 31. Not a B2B platform, okay for B2C

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Shopify is easy to set up and is good for simple B2C sites with simple products. There are many apps and good themes. App and theme creation is nice. The admin pages are well done.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Unfortunately for B2B sites Shopify fails to deliver, and the main reasons are because of lack of good apps and limited core features. The base product is much more limited than BigCommerce, and you are forced to buy many apps to have the minimum functionality needed. In Shopify we had 13 installed apps while in BigCommerce we have less than half that number. The Shopify team told us the average a customer spends for apps is $500. Many of these apps (not all) are too simple and quite a few just work poorly. We personally reviewed about 10 apps to get a single B2B feature and none of the apps accomplished this, while in BigCommerce we have at least 2 apps that do everything we need for this functionaly. A huge limitation is the 3 price-changing option/100-variant limit, and even Shopify Plus still has this. The only way to get around this was an app that hacked many products into one. To get what we needed required 3 apps totalling $80 per month, when BigCommerce has this at it's most basic plan. Another issue with having apps instead of having this with the core functionality is that an app is basically another website inside of the Shopify admin. This means that you depend on many third-party developers to keep their sites up and running well, and keep the data secure. Anytime you have a choice to use core functionality or an app, it's better to use core functionality. Also, app developers generally make these for the most frequent uses, which meant we still had to make our own custom app. Shopify depends heavily on apps to add functionality, and the ones they have did not work for our B2B business.

**Recommendations to others considering Shopify:**

If you have simple products directed to B2C, Shopify may work well. Otherwise, shop elsewhere, especially for B2B sites.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tried to create B2B site but even with many apps this can't be easily accomplished. The themes are nice and easy to update.

  ### 32. Shopify - solving ecommerce web and app development faster

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nitin s. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Best is its abvaility to development of store very fast and upload categories/products very easily

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

They charge very high to develop custome features

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ecomerce and web and app development faster with great user interface

  ### 33. Expensive, and the best solution for SOME users

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

You can launch your store in less than one day and, if you just need the basics, any of their themes will work. It integrates out of the box with lots of payment processors, so no matter where you are, you can bill in your local currency and local payment methods (we use PayU for Latin America and Stripe/Paypal for US/Europe). You can also install a lot of useful apps to enhance your store's functionality (if you have the money). We use an app to sell digital products and licenses and even connect other platforms such as Kajabi or Uscreen via Zapier, meaning we can sell Kajabi products and Uscreen subscriptions in our Shopify store.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Their cheapest plan is 29 USD/month, if you want some flexibility in design and function, you should also get a premium theme. If you need to install an app to enhance your store, you will need to pay for it (monthly fee), so if you use 2 or 3 apps, the costs will rise very quickly. Unless you know how to code, even small changes in the theme will require you to hire someone to do it.

If you have a small store, no help, and some of their free themes has everything you need, the monthly fee may be worth it. If you have a team, I'd recommend going with Wordpress+WooCommerce. With the 29/month, you can pay for a very good hosting that will be faster than Shopify. Wordpress has a plethora of decent free themes/plugins, and premium themes/plugins are way cheaper than Shopify's in case you need them.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have several brands and several ways people can buy from us. A mixture of digital and physical products, and different subscriptions from several Kajabi pages. We use Shopify as a Hub for all our brands and people can buy everything in one place. A typical order can be a digital magazine from Kajabi Website A, a subscription to a course in Kajabi Website B, and a T-Shirt. Before using Shopify, people would need to make 3 transactions in 3 different websites… So, even if Shopify is expensive, it works for us.

  ### 35. Useful for unique products but it takes time to generate visibility

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria D. | Quantitative Researcher, Graduate Research Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

I like that you can find pretty much anything you need and also sell in the platform: its very much like a mixture between Etsy and EBay but it is a larger community

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

It does take some time to find the products you are looking for and for the right price. It is still a fringe platform, In my opinion, and I think that is why it is not as competitive

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT does allow you to centralize the ecommerce platform in the way you need, it is very personable in that way and it is not just a website host that has no exposure

  ### 36. Best Beginner Website Platform

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

I like how easy it was for me to begin building a website and how simple things are laid out across the website builder feature. Having examples of other websites to compare was extremely helpful in the beginning stages so you know what features to apply to your own site.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Having to pay extra a month for plus to get a lower credit card transaction rate. Everything is credit card based online so it's more out of pocket upfront monthly that I need to recoup in sales to extend my profits.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customers can easily access my products online that are not able to visit storefront providing me with another platform to make sales. Cheaper than having someone build a website for me in the long run as well.

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Shopify allows you to create your own personal online store with your own creative touch! It lets you customize the look and feel, and make it feel very personal as if it were your own physical store. It's also very easy to set up and navigate the website.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

There customer service is not as responsive and helpful as I would like. When I contacted them, there response was not very timely or helpful in resolving my issue that I was facing. I think that customer service tells a lot about a company and I would rank there's as mediocre,

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify allows small businesses the opportunity to reach their business across the country. It's a platform that allows anyone to become a business owner and market their product.

  ### 38. Works For Some, Not For All

**Reviewed by:** Jenn B. | Director of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

I like the overall presentation of products and the overall aesthetic.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

I didn't particularly appreciate that it has glitches that can be offputting to customers; at the price point, it shouldn't do that.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify did not integrate with my software and would take workarounds to integreate with my website, so I opted not to use it.

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Easy to use backend of tracking and fulfilling orders, including creating shipments and manifests.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Without an extensive knowledge of coding, making the website unique to your brand is hard.

**Recommendations to others considering Shopify:**

If shopify cant do it, there is probably an app/add-on on shopify's marketplace. Just be prepared to pay a price.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having stable eccomerce is great as an underlining income for my business.

  ### 41. Steep Monthly Fees for Beginners

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ethan M. | Event Organizer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Clean interface that allows for substantally proficient infrastructure to be built around ecommerce. Allows you to integrate into your own website and domain while also utilizing it as a standalone platform. Makes it easy to do payment processing. Relatively easy access to the public helps individuals create online stores easily thus making personal individual abilities to sell items online greater. It's a quite mainstream platform thus making it a relatively well known service.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Cost for the platform and limited templates that may inhibit design potential and overall experience. Seems slightly generic and might not provide as much features for a user in comparison to other ecommerce service providers. There are likely more opportunities to create a better website elsewhere. however the ease of use and simplicity of the website makes it much simpler to actually create a store, it just might not look that ornate or fancy given the platforms limitations. However the Shopify may serve individuals greatly over time as it evolves given the infrastructure will

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At this time I no longer use Shopify as I migrated to other platforms quite quickly that allows for more web infrastructure to be created. Moonfruit and Woocommerce have actually shown me greater potential because of the lack of interest in playing multiple subscription fees. The provider itself has garnered a great reputation amongst individuals and businesses and has a very good means of being able to maintain a website for an individual and enables many people to become entrepreneurs while growing their businesses.

  ### 48. Doesn’t easily integrate with inventory POS

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie L. | Store manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

That you can set it up for customers to shop on Instagram / Facebook with 1 click through Shopify...

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

It does not integrate with our inventory management in our retail cloud software. So any time we upload a photo we want someone to be able to shop, we have to add all the product info into the Shopify catalog and then add the quantities available, and any time we sell an item in store, we would have to adjust the quantity manually in Shopify & visa versa. Not user friendly for a retail store where we can’t keep up with this daily.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily shop via instagram
