I feel that when we do have issues, we're left solving them on our own although there is forum support. **Recommendations to others considering Shopify POS:** This is an excellent small business platform for those considering both a booth/kiosk and online business model. Great features built in. Shopify competes mainly with BigCommerce and Volusion – all three of which provide turn-key eCommerce solutions, which in turn compete with non-turnkey solutions (like setting up your own store with WordPress). Shopify also has a “Buy button” functionality that allows you to use Shopify as Point of Sale (POS) / Inventory option – and let customers click to buy your products anywhere online (Pinterest, Facebook, WordPress blog, Tumblr, etc). You can get the Buy button only as part of the Lite Plan, but it competes with PayPal rather than full online store options. It also excels at marketing.If you’re looking for an all-in-one platform that does good marketing for SEO, AdWords, and anything else up your sleeve – Shopify is a great choice in my experience. **What do you dislike about Shopify POS?** A bit pricey and targets fast growth. Has some analytic issues. They don’t allow “root” or FTP access, as an SEO consultant. It was expensive but they have recently adjusted their pricing. Platform transaction fees, add-on fees and credit card fees. Have to hack around for customization - a bit of a con to have to become familiar with Liquid to tweak my store’s theme.Shopify comes with built-in blogging software…but it’s not the greatest – especially if you are spoiled for WordPress.
