Accelerates Cinematic Editing with Clean, Customizable Effects and an Intuitive UI **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026 **What do you like best about Shooter Suite?** The best thing I like about this red giant Shooter Suite platform is it accelerates professional video editing and motion graphic book flows, rather than building complexity effects from scratch, we can create cinematic visuals using plugins like trap code, magic builder and other vfx suite, the quality of effects and especially particles and colour grading along with lens flare and blue transition is very much clean and sharp, which is protection ready and highly customizable. Their advanced capabilities and most of their tools are very much intuitive, which can achieve impressive results even without spending hours of manual composition. Their UI interface is also very much clean and overall I would say the platforms also up to the mark. **What do you dislike about Shooter Suite?** The biggest drawback of this platform is its subscription pricing, which is expensive for freelancers or occasional creators who don't use these tools every day. Since the suit includes many specialised plugins, new users can face a learning curve before understanding which tool is best suited for different scenarios while the software is generally stable, some complex effects can be demanding or on hardware and GPU-intensive composition. I would also like to see more beginner-friendly focused tutorials which can be integrated directly with our application, or even a tutorial which makes the ongoing process easier. **What problems is Shooter Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** This platform helps us by reducing the amount of time required to create high-end visual effects and motion graphics. Instead of relying on multiple 3rd party plugins or manually applied animations affect, he can generate professional particles and cinematic colour grading along with realistic lens effect. This has also shortened the project turnaround time, which is very much helpful on the overall external projects and generating promotional content and even our marketing team can get high-quality designs, I'm branding visuals with less effort and being independent on any external vendors. ### 2. Syncing audio is pretty straightforward. Instant 4K is also pretty handy if you have old footage that needs to be repurposed. It's a pity that has been discontinued. **What do you dislike about Shooter Suite?** The fact that Instant 4k has been discontinued. The idea is that since footage now is 90% 4k and old footage is now considered bad, this plugin is no longer needed. But I actually use it from time to time since I have a lot of old footage that I think it's still quite good to use. The other tools that came with the suite, in my opinion, are more redundant (Frames, and Offload). The good news is that you can still use the discontinued versions. Until now Instant 4k, Frames, and Offload still run in more recent After Effects versions. **Recommendations to others considering Shooter Suite:** Easy to use and still relevant, especially PluralEyes **What problems is Shooter Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** PluralEyes is the go-to tool if you need instant audio sync between a multiple camera shoot. It's quick and easy to use. The Instant 4k basically can pick small resolution footage and expand it to higher resolutions (until 4k) and still maintain good quality overall. ### 3. Best post Production **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Mark B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2018 **What do you like best about Shooter Suite?** when working with audio and video recorded at diffeent times can be a headache for any video maker and shotting with multiple cameras make this even worse, then comes this plugin which is one of the best in the business. the suite mainly contains 4 plugins namely plural eyes, instant, frames and offload. the plugins work with premiere pro directly without much hassle. plural eyes is a plugin thats used to sync between audio and video of the footage. this plugin works greate even when working with multiple cameras. the syncing can be done with just a click of the button. Instant is another plugin thats used to upscale the footage to resolutions upto 4k. this plugin gives amazong results that are much better and faster than the build in tools. frames plugin is used to smoothen up the footage and covert the frames to 24p. the plugin also fixes colour distortions in the footage. offload has nothing much to do with editing the footage. this plugin is used to backup the file and checking the file with the original copy. this plugin is one of the greatest tools to make sure you got a backup of the work and ensure safety, **What do you dislike about Shooter Suite?** the pricing, the plugins are great but everyone especially individuals and small companies won't be able to afford it due to the heavy price tag. **Recommendations to others considering Shooter Suite:** there is a free trial for you to try and find for yourself **What problems is Shooter Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** post-production of video footage. ### 5. Plural Eyes is by far the greatest plugin I have ever used! If you are ever doing a multi-camera production you need this software ASAP. I can't even begin to count the number of hours that plural eyes and the entire shooter suite has saved me. Offload is also a major part of shooter suite that is extremely valuable to every production no matter how big! The ability to ensure that your data is backed up and have the peace of mind immediately is one of the best things that shooter suite has to offer. **What do you dislike about Shooter Suite?** There isn't much that I dislike, shooter suite is regularly updated to remove bugs, and improve stability. I do think the price could be brought down some. However, they do offer educational and faculty licensing for educational users which is a great thing to have. **Recommendations to others considering Shooter Suite:** Buy it! You need it! The demos alone are enough to prove to you why you need it. Red Giant is a great company. **What problems is Shooter Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time management. Shooter suite allows me to have more time to be creative and spend my time on things that are more pressing to the entire production. More importantly Offload has allowed me to make sure my files are backed up and make sure I'm not going to lose any data from the shoot as soon as it happens. It's quick and easy to use. ### 6. PluralEyes is amazing and will save you so much time, effort, and headache. Offload is a great product in principle (if it would just be stable!) And I have no idea how, but Frames really does work. **What do you dislike about Shooter Suite?** Offload is my favorite idea in the suite, but is the least reliable. To be fair, it's a new product—but it's scary to have an offload of card data crash the program, leaving you scrambling to make sure source data wasn't some how corrupted. Instant 4K has yet to impress me. I've side-by-side compared it with just scaling footage in Premiere and have yet to see a big difference. **Recommendations to others considering Shooter Suite:** Honestly, you can get the functionality of Offload elsewhere (Hedge, ShotPut, Prelude), Instant 4K has yet to impress me, and Frames is something that some might use a lot, but I get the feeling many will never use. So, odds are, buy PluralEyes. That said, as a Shooter Suite customer, the new version of PluralEyes doesn't inspire me to upgrade. The functionality is essentially the same, just with a new interface, sort-of offload integration, and a Premiere extension.
