We really love how techs can just scan a machine's barcode with their phone to pull up safety checklists and old repair logs right on the factory floor. It makes life so much easier because the app even works offline in dead zones like basements, automatically updating the main system as soon as they get Wi-Fi again. Moving all your existing maintenance schedules, spare parts catalogs, and equipment histories out of messy Excel spreadsheets into the software is a massive chore at the start. If your team doesn't take the time to scrub that data beforehand, you just end up cluttering the new dashboard with duplicate parts and confusing asset names. It does what it says on the tin—when built correctly, it helps manage the site. It has a bunch of modules that work together to provide a sensible reporting suite. The old icon set made it easier to quickly identify different modules, and the UI seemed more user-friendly that way. Also, in the Mobile Pro app, the subject info section doesn’t let you view PDFs that may have been assigned to the assets. The idea was to have all relevant asset information in one place and be able to access it either through a work order or a subject search, but that isn’t the case right now. I like that ShireSystem is user-friendly compared to other software. It helps in easily tracking assets, reducing time consumption, avoiding duplicate work orders, and maintaining accurate spare parts control and inventory system. The system is also more flexible and efficient when compared to other software. Its accuracy in keeping records is beneficial for purposes like audits. Everything is quite straightforward in each tab, and the functionality across the dashboard is consistent. If there are any issues, I know where to find support. It's also fairly easy to train new people on, even those with experience in other CMMSs or no experience at all. They can get up to speed quickly, which is really valuable.
