The interface is very clear. **What do you dislike about ShipStation?** The method of creating shipments with multiple packages. Also, the fact that they did away with carrier insurance and force you to buy their insurance product. That boosts their profits but the cost to use Shipstation has not been lowered. Other providers force you to use their insurance and have the same UPS rates and their service is FREE. I am going to change to Pirate Ship or Veeqo because of this. **What problems is ShipStation solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps with repetitive data entry. ### 2. You need to browse through several web pages to see what you have been charged for the labels and to find cost adjustments to your shipments. This has caused problems with out accounting. **What problems is ShipStation solving and how is that benefiting you?** It good to have a single place that we are able to shop rates from several different suppliers. Our organization uses it to ensure we are getting the best rates. ### 3. They are considerably higher than competitors. I've been a customer for years but they recently started charging customers a fee to use their own shipping accounts which I believe is ludicrous. Especially since my account usually receives better rates than the discounted ShipStation rates. **What problems is ShipStation solving and how is that benefiting you?** Brining all of our selling channels into one location to see orders and fulfill them. ### 6. We did not require shipping accounts, which we are now being punished for. ### 7. Orders are transmitted seamlessly and on-time. Customers are notified with tracking infomation if an email is provided. **What do you dislike about ShipStation?** Shipstation connect is finnicky. In the past I could print from a desktop or mobile device. Shipstation connect disconnects and blocks printing options from both desktop and mobile. The basic subscription only allows one device to be used for printing. Frustrating because most businesses nowadays need a mobile device option while traveling. **What problems is ShipStation solving and how is that benefiting you?** Intergration with WooCommerce and Amazon. All shipping options and accounts can be automated. USPS, UPS, FedEx etc. ### 9. Shipstation is a very useful tool however... I also dislike how it rearranges the order of the products after you hit save. The search functions work very well to quickly and simply find what you're looking for. **What do you dislike about ShipStation?** The connections to carriers go down at random times, which prevents us from quoting and shipping packages while down. When splitting orders into multiple packages, it gets SUPER slow and laggy once you get to splitting an order 3 or more times. **Recommendations to others considering ShipStation:** Make sure you review your long-term plans. ShipStation is great for small businesses and ones that are just starting, but you will definitely need a more in-depth system to manage all of your orders, shipments, reports - and most importantly - inventory, all in one system. **What problems is ShipStation solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to receive all of our orders into Shipstation seamlessly and accurately ship all orders. It allows us to be productive by batching all "ready to ship" orders together and printing labels all at once. ### 15. ShipStation Review **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2019 **What do you like best about ShipStation?** I like that ShipStation automatically imports info and data from Stitch, automatically corrects addresses or alerts you to addresses that don't look correctly formatted, and makes it easy to compare shipping rates across different carriers. **What do you dislike about ShipStation?** I don't like that you can't see your colleagues batches of shipments. ie: If I want to ship a batch that my colleague has premade, I can't do that from my own login. **Recommendations to others considering ShipStation:** I recommend using this, especially if you are a smaller business or nonprofit looking for a way to get packages out more efficiently. **What problems is ShipStation solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to streamline our shipping process and get packages to customers sooner. Without it, we would be a lot slower in fulfilling orders. ### 16. The reason that we chose them is that they connected with both our sales channels as well as our back-end systems. The connections have worked very well with only minor issues. **What do you dislike about ShipStation?** I recently found out that Shipstation is owned by Stamps.com / Endicia. It seems that the acquisition by Stamps.com of both Endicia and Shipstation has created a bit of a monopoly where Shipstation is not adding any additional USPS vendors that might provide more competitive rates. **Recommendations to others considering ShipStation:** Be careful. I think being owned by Stamps.com was probably great for the founders.... **What problems is ShipStation solving and how is that benefiting you?** In addition to connecting and communicating with both storefronts and inventory management systems, ShipStation lets us quickly compare rates between services and shipping companies to find the best rate for each package. ### 17.
