I don't see why anyone would sign up with Shippo or how Shippo differentiates from its competitors. **What do you dislike about Shippo?** The initial call started with the Sales Representative telling me how they are 75 cents per package cheaper than Endicia on USPS rates. I've committed resources to integrating with their API. We picked the wrong time to do it as Endicia was passing on holiday surcharges. When it came time to test after the holiday season, we discovered that Endicia and Shippo have the same pricing on USPS but Shippo charges more for UPS. When I confronted them with hard data, they came back with rhetoric. The numbers speak for themselves! If you're charging $3 more per package on UPS, then that's what you're charging. Do you really think I'm going to switch to Shippo and take a leap of faith of losing $3/package on my shipping? You're slick but you're not that slick! **Recommendations to others considering Shippo:** Consider the multitude of other competitors out there first. **What problems is Shippo solving and how is that benefiting you?** They're supposed to be a competitor to shipstation and Endicia. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone besides the sales team. Shippo's sales team is VERY responsive, but once they hook you, all communication stops. We had to reach out to the sales team on many occasions in order to get our concerns addressed. Additionally, their data submission is a nightmare. It help us easily prepare labels and shipping addresses. The interface itself was overall easy to use. The buttons and layout were all there. Everything was pretty straightforward with resources available to guide you if you ever get stuck on something. It was definitely advertised in a lot of places therefore we decided to give it a try. **What do you dislike about Shippo?** I think what I didn't really like about Shippo was that it didn't differ much from other shipping applications that we had tried in the past. It was pretty much the same. The shipping rates were advertised as lower or best, and at the end, they all pretty much had the same rates. What I wish could be better are that the rates can be better compared to other shipping platforms as advertised. **Recommendations to others considering Shippo:** Give it a try. I recommend that if you never tried it, simply give it a try to see if you would like it. **What problems is Shippo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Shippo when we gave it a try, has been helpful in us comparing rates, filling shipping addresses, and printing labels with ease. We tried it a couple of times to print labels and there were definitely no complaints. Although we did find the current method that we had to print labels was easy enough therefore we didn't feel the need to continue using Shippo. ### 8. I also have the ability to print my packing lists and pick lists directly from within the shippo platform. **What do you dislike about Shippo?** I also do not like how there is not an iPhone app i can use while on the go to process the shipments. **Recommendations to others considering Shippo:** if you are looking for a solution to printing multiple shipping labels at once for your e-store and have it fully integrate with your store, shippo is your problem solver! They are contstantly updating the workflows and improving the features offered. We are able to get all our online orders processed and shipped out the same day the order is placed, mainly due to shippo's ease of use and functionality. There are better ones out there with **What do you dislike about Shippo?** Customer service is not capable of handling basic problems. Shippo "accidentally" reused a USPS tracking number too soon. So old data was still present on the current label. It's been 4 days and they haven't been able to do anything at all. They haven't offered a refund, to assist with insurance. It's clear they don't know what to do. They actually said at one point, "we're not responsible" even though tracking was purchased and issued through them. My emails don't get a response, live chat just says "we've asked USPS" and nothing moves forward. Sometimes live chat is available. Sometimes it's not. It's not based on days of the week or times of day. It's just random. Also, yes they do have hidden surcharges with every carrier and no they won't help you dispute them. They just said "the dispute was sided with the carrier" but any other shipping software allows you to provide detailed information and with every other shipping software they side with the shipper. **What problems is Shippo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Unfortunately I will go back to pretty much exclusively using Pirateship because their customer service is much better. ### 10. But, it's really easy to use and it doesn't have a lot of bugs that you run into. **What do you dislike about Shippo?** It lets you connect your e-commerce store to make it super easy to ship your orders out only the one I use "Godaddy" isn't supported. So that's a huge bummer! I did email asking them to add it. It's a seamless integration and we like the functionality Shippo offers. Shippo offers very competitive pricing either on a per label basis or from a monthly subscription model. Even though we use Shippo through our ERP system, we can log into our Shippo account at anytime and lookup all our shipping history/data and change settings and billing information. I've had to reach out to support a couple times and they've always replied back quickly and resolved my issues. **What do you dislike about Shippo?** The biggest downside to Shippo is that they do not offer any FedEx integration. They offer many shipping options, but FedEx isn't one of them. I am aware that sometimes it is not about the Shippo but carrier itself, but I've lost a lot of packages. So, maybe Shippo can bring more carrier options into their shipping options in other words, variety can be increased. **What problems is Shippo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Once I set the default settings, I can use those information for my following shipments. The billing happens at seemingly random intervals, but this doesn't affect us much. **What problems is Shippo solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a way to process multiple boxes for the same order, something not available to us on Shopify's shipping solution. We also wanted to be using the same shipping solution to process orders outside of the Shopify platform (ie wholesale orders). We also wanted to be able to use both USPS and UPS in the same interface. The biggest benefit that we have realized is our ability to streamline our shipping process. We are also now able to do a quick scan of orders that are stuck in "out for delivery" or have an unsuccessful delivery and proactively reach out to customers instead of having to reactively respond. A huge plus for customer experience and business efficiency. ### 27.
