"Free and excellent screenshot tool"
5/5
What do you like best about ShareX?

What I like the best is that ShareX is free and open source. For all the features that it comes with, it's quite shocking the developers didn't think of monetizing it.

ShareX is primarily a screenshot tool. You have the option to take a screenshot of any region, window, or even the entire screen. Additionally, you can also capture video, GIF, scrolling text, etc. ShareX has an auto upload feature through which anything you capture is immediately uploaded to the cloud server. Once the uploading process is complete, the URL will be copied to clipboard for you to share with anyone.

Besides your captures being auto uploaded, ShareX also allows you to drag and drop anything in the task list and it'll be uploaded online for sharing. You can upload images, GIFs, video clips, and even text files. Furthermore, during screen capture, ShareX allows you to edit the screen and make graphical changes before uploading the image. This makes ShareX one of the best all-in-one screenshot tool available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShareX?

There's nothing I dislike about ShareX after having used it for 4 years now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absolutly the best screen capture software! really easy to use and install."

What do you like best about ShareX?

ShareX allows me to capture regions or full screen really fast, it is super easy to use and clean.

One of the main thing i always use is the image editor, it has so many features for editing the photo right after i capture it, for example the blur option or the brush, it makes the program really usful and really reliable.

One more thing i really liked about ShareX is the screen recording, it making a gif of the screen and I find it really usful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShareX?

There is really nothing wrong with that program, it's free, easy to use, reliable, its really simple anyone can understand and use the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ShareX Review"
5/5
What do you like best about ShareX?

ShareX is a lightweight screenshot software that requires no registration or purchase. It is open source and completely free to use. The user interface is quite intuitive and it is very easy to take screenshots with it. ShareX also has a built-in image editor and an uploader with which you can upload screenshots as soon as you take them. In addition to taking screenshots, ShareX can also be used to capture videos, GIFs, and scrolling text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShareX?

I don't really dislike anything about ShareX. It's a fantastic software that comes with premium features that you'd otherwise have to pay for if you were go for other products of the same kind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The perfect tool for capturing screen! "

What do you like best about ShareX?

Do you need to snap a portion of screen? Do you need to record a window? Sharex is the best software to do that.

It's possible to save pictures and videos in multiple locations, and also define the shape of the snaps with extreme semplicity. Another very good functionality is the quality/performance of the video recorder. You can easily record for many minutes and have videos very small in size, which is great. This is possible by downloading a ffmpeg codec directly from the software.

Another good thing is about the software update.

You don't have to worry about to visit the website to download a newer version of the software. You just have to click "UPDATE" from the software, and watch the software upgrade itself without a single manual action. Amazing, isn't it? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShareX?

Sometime the interface can be a little bit confusing, making to find things harder sometime.

There is a bug that always come up at the start up, which is a shortcut that goes in conflict with a shortcut in Windows 10. I got this problem for several months and they are not doing anything to solve the issue.

I also don't like the fact that there are a lot of voices in the menu that are not extremely indispensable for the daily use. Also, the design can be drastically improved, since right now is only a group of tons of words and that's it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All you need and many more for a "screenshot creator" tool"
5/5
What do you like best about ShareX?

ShareX is not only a simple screen capture / acquisition tool but is also a "framework" (a very lightweight framework) that you can use to create video tutorial, gif images, watermark images, censored / pixeled / blurred images of your screen and to setup a workflow to follow after the simply operation of "capturing the image of your screen". It's also free, open source source and can be installed and easily used in PC with very limited hardware specs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShareX?

Nothing to dislike, I only suggested developers to add more auto-uploading videosharing platforms such as Facebook and Vimeo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the best free applications ever made"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ShareX?

Let me start by saying that ShareX is absolutely free and won't cost you a dime for using it. It has a very simple interface that's easy to navigate and comes with a lot of features that are important for any computer user.

ShareX provides quick and hassle-free way of taking screenshots of any window, region, or the entire screen. In addition, you can record anything you want in video or GIF formats. It also allows you to manually edit any screenshot you're about to take with a built-in image editor that reduces the need for other image editors like Microsoft Paint, GIMP, or Photoshop.

ShareX, like the name suggests, offers an easy method of sharing any screenshot, video, or GIF you capture with an automatic upload feature that uploads them online instantly and copies their link to the clipboard. You're not required to take a screenshot to upload an image, GIF, or video as ShareX has the ability to upload any of such files with a simple drag and drop action. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShareX?

The only thing I dislike is that the shareable links to the images you've uploaded expire over time. While this is only a minor issue because all screenshots you've captured are saved locally in your computer, I'm someone who takes around 50 to 70 screenshots every month through ShareX. I tend to bookmark a lot of important of my screenshots on my web browser, so it's a little annoying to go through multiple folders on my computer to find that one specific image that I'm looking for when the links expire. This is the only reason why I'm giving it 4.5 stars instead of 5. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I use ShareX nearly every day"
5/5
What do you like best about ShareX?

ShareX is an easy-to-use and fully functioning screen-grabbing software, but it does much more. I use it mainly for capturing images of screens that I then insert into emails, presentations, and other projects. I also use the color picker in the tools menu to grab the RGB codes I need to match colors when I'm creating graphics for clients. I really like the history screen that shows thumbnails of the last 10 screens I captured. Comes in handy when I need to access the same content more than once-don't have to re-capture it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShareX?

I've found nothing to dislike about ShareX. It replaced another screen-grabber I used that had issues after I upgraded to Windows 10. ShareX does everything I need without being overly complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"EXTREMELY Easy To Use"
5/5
What do you like best about ShareX?

ShareX has the most basic and simple controls that make screenshotting your screen or recording a section SUPER easy. You can crop your image on the spot and it immediately saves the screenshot to your clipboard so you can paste it anywhere. I use ShareX every single day. It is by far one the best software ever developed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShareX?

There really is nothing to dislike about ShareX. It's free to use and it provides you with everything you need. If I had to dislike something then just add more features! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best tool to create, without video-editing, tutorials and promotional video for customers"
5/5
What do you like best about ShareX?

It's totally free and open source, it has so many features that help users to create video without having to re-edit single captures in a video-editing software later.

You can capture video, GIF, scrolling text, highlight mouse pointer, etc. in a single click and without installing plugins or converter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShareX?

No auto-updates support, you have to periodically manually check on their website for new version, download and install it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Nice Screenshot Tool"
5/5
What do you like best about ShareX?

What I like the best is that taking a screenshot and uploading is very quick and easy. It only takes a few seconds to upload anything you've captured. You can only capture video, GIF, scrolling text, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShareX?

I dislike the new interface for the task lists in the latest update. Instead of all uploaded screenshots being displayed as lists, they're now displayed as images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
