"Shapr3D does 50% of my former SolidWorks jobs"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

Additive modelling is very useful once mastered. It does require a slightly different approach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

The attraction of Shapr3D is its simplicity. It would not be sensible to bloat it into a copy of SolidWorks or Catia. That said, lack of sheet metal support is a show-stopper for many of my projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Super intuitive 3D software. Perfect for 3D Printing"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

Shapr3D can also be used on the iPad, making it perfect for use on the go or from the couch. It's very quick to get started, there are good tutorials, it's intuitive, and you can work very easily and scale. Perfect for quickly creating prototypes and generating them for 3D printing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

Projects in Shapr3D are not yet synchronized across different devices within the same account. However, as I have read, this is in the planning stages. There are a few hiccups, but nothing significant that prevents you from working productively and intuitively. I love it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Easy to Start Using"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

Working on an iPad with Apple Pencil 2 makes it not only easy to design, but fun! From the very start, the tutorial holds your hand until you are ready to take the training wheels off. It really is a joy to use.

I forgot to mention that education access is currently free! Incredible value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

The only problem I've had is trying to import a 2D CAD drawing of some home blueprints. However, Shapr3D is not intended to be used in that respect, so I cannot knock points for my issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"3D Design and CAD made Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

Shapr3D is an easy way to learn and use CAD and 3D Modeling. You can do all of these tasks with one app and device. Students can also get a free subscription which is an easy process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

Shapr3D can be a load heavy app but this is generally true for all 3D Rendering apps so this app is a very good one as it works on small devices like small tablets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Shapr3D?

I find every aspect user-friendly. The prompts and actions are entirely intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

My only complaint was there was no text option for 3-D text. But they recently added 3d text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Do you remember how tedious was any other 3D?"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

The fact that it's really sit to you that you can use the pencil for drawing like if it were drawing on a paper, and editing a piece doesn't mean redo the whole thing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

By now the price, I can't justify 200$ a year when I have rhino already paid Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-centric and intuitive."
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

Very intuitive UI. Perfect for quickly and accurately modeling things and converting them to DWG drawings. The visualization tool is great for producing quick visuals to assist clients is gaining an understanding of the project.

Also a great tool for 3D-printing enthusiasts with plenty of export formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

Organisation. I have 100+ 3D models currently and there is not yet a feature to arrange them, search through them, or organize them into folders. Just one of these features would make a world of difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplistic intuitive workflow"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

I love the intuitive gui. Using the pencil is my favorite part. I really appreciate the speed at which to build a simple model. Low learning curve to get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

I don't like the limited drawing options. I need more detailed dimensions. Also, model sharing from ipad to Mac is confusing. Ipad experience when editing can be buggy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The BEST thing available on the iPad!"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

Easy to use, works on older devices without major issues. The support for the Pencil is simply brilliant. Previously, I worked with Blender, which is already very powerful, but not optimal for constructions. As for Fusion360, it's a very good program but also very powerful, which is not suitable for simple tasks and quick drafts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

What I'm really missing is a direct sync between different devices. At the moment, I have to store everything in iCloud to continue working on the Mac. Unfortunately, changes are not automatically available on the iPad. An export and import have to be done again for that! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"powerful and enjoyable"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

Although I have 50 yars of experience running a design studio, I am a newcomer to using CAD but I found Shapr3D intuitive to learn and enjoyable to use, which has enabled me to work in a much more effective way. It seems to get better and more powerful every time I use it too Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

Having learned technical drawing professionally over half a century ago there is a lot to like, but many irritations such as being able to easily measure things and the difficulty in creating organic forms accurately Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
