"Shapr3D turns my gestures into architecture"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

The intuitive way of using the provided tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

Having been a cad user since early 90s, meaning using just command line instead of buttons, I am still struggling to move things around with precision. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Nice, clean and intuitive"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

I work on an iPad Pro. Working with the Apple Pencil on the iPad is fast and intuitive. I can make fast prototipes for 3d printing on the run is great.

Comparing to sketchup is more precise and the created solids prin much better. You don't get surprises with the geometry of the bodies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

Some processes of the drawing are not always intuitive for me, but I have to admit that I haven't checked most of the tutorials. So probably is my fault. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Looks simple but stands out Shapr3D"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

Customer service is great, but the tutorials that cover almost every aspect of the program are very steps by step and very easy to follow I've been a user of other cad programs for years and I needed something that worked on the iPad because it's one of my go to devices nowadays this really fit that bill Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

Honestly I think the limitations would be in not taking the time to watch the demos and to review the tutorials because it is an intuitive drying environment and so if you overthink it it makes it way more difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"easy to use, no matter for viewing or drawing"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

Intuitive interface for drawing 3D graphic with Apple Pencil. It started on iPad so it's super easy to sketch a model when the idea comes or simply demo to someone. Newly added function - visualization is super easy to use and create the realistic view before jumping into production without difficult of finding correct parameters for rendering the materials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

Sometimes still a little buggy on visualization function. It rarely happens though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive CAD application"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

Shapr3D is easy to learn and use. With a small background in 3D, I didn't need much time trying the app to feel confident that I would be able to put my ideas out and make real projects. In no time I was printing 3D parts I designed in the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

No major complaints at the moment. I was quite surprised with the usability on a tablet using a pen. I just find myself reselecting faces all the time, but I'm not sure how to improve that on the product side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing app with a very straightforward modeling approach"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

As mentioned before, it's a very straightforward approach on modeling that with a very powerful outliner for design management that will amaze any kind of user. As soon as you have the app on, you'll be modeling something and modifying it in an instant and organizing everything in folders, as complicated as you'd like or may need. Beside that, visualization is awesome and instantaneous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

I find the layout features very impressive but rigid, a bit more freedom is missed as for view development; At least for architectural and interior design, drawing and hatching is a basic that shouldn't be missing. A better handling of bitmaps in visualization, again, a matter of freedom as basic as rotating of a texture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not a toy"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

I'm a retired product designer with 40 years experience. I've used AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Works, Autodesk 3D Max, Fusion 360 and evaluated just about every 3D CAD tool in existence. For the past 2 years I've been using Shapr3d almost everyday. Nothing has been as intuitive as Shapr3d. Is it the most powerful? No. But I haven't run into anything in my mind that a can't create in Shapr. It impresses me that the developers release updates with new features every month or so and listen to and respond to user's suggestions.

The biggest complain I've hear so far is the price. The pro version, as of this writing, is $239 US per year. Not cheap. But it is also not a toy. This is a serious design app. I do most of my designs on an Apple iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil. Also an expensive setup. But damn, it's worth it! No regrets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

Many of the features that have been rolled out recently are in their early stages. For instance 2d drawings lack some of the features the big boys have but it still very useful. I understand the developers are improving it now. The visualization tool is amazing but not on the level of 3d Max, for instance, but that's a $3,000/year program for movie makers! I don't expect Shapr3d to get there but they are rolling out new features often. Maybe they will! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Full Engineering Design Mobility"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

Shapr3D works on the iPad Pro , the second most useful computer in my life of computer use (the first most useful considering the time was the HP 200LX), it works with extreme speed, and the development team is doing handstands to improve the product to bring it up to full creative functional capacity with the industry standards of Solid Edge and Solid Works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

It takes time to fully develop disruptive products, and Shapr3D has a little way to go replace my main preferred platform, SpaceClaim. Eventually Shapr3D has the prospect of offering freehand creative capacity, and I am really excited about that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shapr3D is awesome and feature rich, but I can't justify the price for hobbies."
4/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

I like how feature rich it is and how frequently new features are released, I like that it is on my tablet and I can take my designs to where I work.

The community post are also really great.

The different exports (especially the 2 drawings) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

I think the price point (especially in a country like South Africa) is a bit high for me to justify for using it just for a hobby.

If I were to be using this for work and could get return on investment it would be a different story.

I get that they need to make money, so I dont blame them.

Maybe paying a bit less for rather 10 designs and you get specific features, like I would use 2d designs rather than visualisation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Mind-blowingly intuitive"
5/5
What do you like best about Shapr3D?

The built-in video-tutorials that come with every tool and the tutorials provided by the company expose the ideal workflow right away. I have been using various 3D-softwares over the past 3 years and I haven't come across any other application that takes your hand and makes you create wonderful objects on the first day. It's easy to export to other applications such as Ultimaker Cura for 3D-printing. I didn't even have to go through blender to prepare the mesh for the print. It is a lean application that may still lack some functionalities but that's also the beauty of it. I can't wait to see how this software will evolve over the next few years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shapr3D?

There's quite a few things that I would love to have that are still missing, but many of them are on the official roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
