The service runs as fast as it can but the speed is limited by the Netsuite SOAP API. Looking forward to the next version when they release the REST API connection. The way the schedules and configurations are setup is a little confusing but once you set it up for the most part it just works. Pricing is reasonable for how many different objects it has to download having our Netsuite data locally makes internal reporting well worth the money. The support team is excellent. The primary contact Martha always responds quickly and because we always have the same point person she has a good history of what we have done and when. They have helped us through several issues including setting us up to run 2 versions of the software at no extra cost. Custom objects added in Salesforce are automatically added as new tables in the replicated database. Custom fields added in Salesforce are automatically added as new columns in the replicated database. Configuration files make it easy to configure replication, such as excluding certain objects, how often to replicate each object, etc. Logs are very verbose. They can be very long, but when something isn't working right, they are very helpful in figuring out exactly what is causing the problem. Records that are deleted in Salesforce stay in the replicated database forever. Two way replication is easy. Records can be inserted or changed locally and uploaded to Salesforce simply by flagging the new or updated rows with an 'I' or 'U'. You can also delete records by flagging them with a 'D'. Besides a browser based user interface, it also has a command line interface. Those familiar with the command line will appreciate the ability to run any task from the command line. **What do you dislike about Sesame Software?** If a field type is changed in Salesforce (like from an integer to a text field), Relational Junction will not automatically change the column in the local database. Instead, the replication script will fail until the column is fixed. To do this, you have to delete the column, then run some commands to have Relational Junction add the column again with the correct data type. **Recommendations to others considering Sesame Software:** If you just want raw data, RelationalJunction is easy to use and fully functional. Replicating salesforce data to and from the local database is so simple. Creating config files and replication instances which set up the replication is very easy. **What do you dislike about Sesame Software?** Sometimes the replication is slow, sometimes it's not. I think it depends in the setup of the config and replication files. I always ask for the support's help whenever an error comes up. Also, updating tables with changes from their salesforce counterpart (fields, datatype, size) is not easy. **Recommendations to others considering Sesame Software:** RJ is great and complete product as an ETL tool. Very easy to use and also have a great support. We use RJ to mirror Salesforce and sync data to our SQL. It works great. And I can manipulate the data in the database and sync it back to Salesforce much more easily that I could have performed the same manipulation in Salesforce directly. **What do you dislike about Sesame Software?** I'm not that keen on the GUI provided but it's completely configurable via command line and config files, which I prefer anyway, so I'm happy. **Recommendations to others considering Sesame Software:** It can be a little complex to set up but it's very powerful; I tried other solutions and this is by far the best and most flexible. Their support is OUTSTANDING if you ever have and issue or just need a little guidance. As far as I know, Relational Junction has the only solution out there that will allow you to back up all your NetSuite objects and data into a relational database. That capability helps us not only with reporting, but also with compliance around DR for larger customers. **What do you dislike about Sesame Software?** Inconsistent turn around on issues from support - there are only a few people in the company and only one or two who write the code and support the product, so it can take a good deal of time to solve issues. **Recommendations to others considering Sesame Software:** If you need a full BI layer, RJ4NS is not the product for you - this tool allows you to back up all your NS objects into a relational database then query them with as many parameters as you can specify via SQL. You still have to do the transformation of this data into actionable information. **What problems is Sesame Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reporting on key performance indicators and financial performance across numerous record types, which is not possible in Native NetSuite. Before we implemented Relational Junction for NetSuite (RJ4NS), there was not way for us to tie together related data that spanned more than two record types. Saved searches were not getting it done for us. RJ4NS allowed us to automate our EDI billing, to provide actionable intelligence to our office managers across the company for day to day operations, and, to develop customer profiles that we can use for sales and marketing to increase revenue. ### 38. I've been able to apply filter for uploading to ensure certain fields are not updated, schedule downloads to highly used objects are more frequently updated while less critical objects and my ability to manage the database as needed for my business. 2. The audit feature is AMAZING. I have a ton of certainty that all the data has been processed and when we have issues the audit function cleans up the discrepancies. 3. The price is very affordable when looking at other options like Heroku **What do you dislike about Sesame Software?** The notifications when the system hangs (doesn't have any errors) is lacking. I would like to have the ability to set a timeframe that the system should be in "running" mode. If the time is exceeded I should get a notification so I can login and make sure the system isn't having issues. **Recommendations to others considering Sesame Software:** Pricing, pricing, pricing. RJ is feature rich with a low annual cost overhead. **What problems is Sesame Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** RJ has allowed us to process the sales processed in Salesforce without the fear of data loss. Before we used the Salesforce API which could get behind or sync transactions out of order. Additionally the core analytics of Salesforce just didn't meet our needs. This product provides access to the data so we can use on our systems to generate reports and analysis. ### 39. I have heard that they might have something in the works that will allow us to make changes to NetSuite. **What problems is Sesame Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** We recently used Relation Junction's copy of our NetSuite database as the source of our data migration efforts to our new CRM system Salesforce. We were able to build SQL scripts to pull the data out of the RJ database and populate it in Salesforce directly. It made the migration task much simpler and organized. ### 40. Some of our team members have tried to contact them for serious production issues and they didn't bother to respond until it's almost renewal time. According to their CEO, their CTO is also a developer who at times breaks the products in a haste to fix a problem. Quality isn't a strong suit. Our support team spends insane amount of time addressing data integrity issues caused by the integration tool on a daily basis. **Recommendations to others considering Sesame Software:** Company culture, service and price. RJ4SF is a finicky product and very expensive. In that time we have had relatively few problems, and Sesame has always been very responsive to any issues we've had. We've also compared their Real-Time Option for replication with Salesforce's Heroku Connect, which it consistently outperforms. The licensing is pretty reasonable for what we do with it. The software is highly configurable. **What do you dislike about Sesame Software?** The software does have its limits. Mass updates of records, which happens when currencies are updated in Salesforce, will slow the software down dramatically.
