Sometimes the replication is slow, sometimes it's not. I think it depends in the setup of the config and replication files. I always ask for the support's help whenever an error comes up. It's super configurable so we have very granular control over which fields get synced between Salesforce and the database, in which direction, and how often. And I can manipulate the data in the database and sync it back to Salesforce much more easily that I could have performed the same manipulation in Salesforce directly.
