Some capabilities, such as environment management, are also very difficult to set up and manage properly. **What problems is MuleSoft Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?** During an M&A cycle, the primary company may acquire a business that uses its own, different system for charging customers. Migrating customer and account data—including work orders, invoices, support tickets, and related records—is handled through applications developed on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. However, payment gateway tokens cannot be imported until they are released by the software company used by the acquired business, which can take up to six weeks. In the meantime, the primary company still needs to bill these newly acquired customers. Robotic Process Automation makes this possible by creating business workflows and automations that continue using the legacy system to execute customer payments until the payment tokens can be obtained and imported into the new system. Additionally, we are solving a document problem for other companies in which paper forms have been filled out by banking customers and then scanned into PDF documents. This makes it very difficult to audit and look for issus across these forms. Many of the forms include hand written responses and the quality of the scans are poor. We are able to use IDP to ingest these documents and, when necessary refer to a human-in-the-loop if the confidence level for the data extracted from the form falls below a certain level. This allows the company to digitize the form data and make better business and audit decisions based on the the data extracted from the forms. ### 2. The trigger flexibility is excellent, allowing me to fire an automation from various sources like a Salesforce record change, an API call, a schedule, an inbound email, or a human form submission, and it's very accessible for non-developers. I value the human task and approval step capabilities because it allows me to pause an automated flow, assign a review task to a person, capture their input, and continue the process smoothly, which feels native. I also appreciate how MuleSoft Automation inherits the connector ecosystem from Anypoint, as it allows me to reuse tested, governed connectors and reduces risk significantly.
