What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

Agile development specifically for software development could be better, it's a pain to setup sprints compared to other products like JIRA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good features but still takes effort to us"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

One new thing I noticed is that the dashboards feel a bit cleaner now and it’s easier to track progress across different teams. The communication inside the platform also feels smoother, like updates and comments show up faster. I also like how everything stays synced, so even if multiple people update something, it doesn’t break anything. It’s still solid for managing bigger projects and keeping everything in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

It still isn’t the easiest tool to learn. Some menus feel confusing and I still need extra time to find certain options. The UI could be more modern and simple. Also the training materials could be better, especially video tutorials right now they feel too basic or outdated. A bit more guidance inside the tool would help new users a lot. "Strategic Insights with Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I use ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management to build platform analytics, which allows me to review the trends of the business across operations. I appreciate the proactive view it provides, enabling us to focus on strategic improvement places rather than reacting to customer frustration. I like the Dashboard, although I think it would save more time if it were made more interactive. The cross-department integrations make it easier for us to work across different areas efficiently, and the initial setup was straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

The openness and flexibility create some confusion. The layout could be simplified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"High-Quality File Sharing, but Ticket Reviews Miss Key Details"
3.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

You can input a wide range of content there, including text, images, and other file types. The platform supports attaching files in a way that preserves their original quality, ensuring that details, formatting, and resolution remain intact without noticeable loss or compression. This makes it suitable for sharing high-quality documents, visuals, and other materials where clarity and accuracy are important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I’m not satisfied with how the admins are reviewing the tickets. It often seems like the descriptions aren’t being fully read, or important details are being overlooked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Integrative but Buggy Workflow Tool"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I like ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management's ability to be integrated and used across modules. It's valuable because if we have purchased multiple products, it works well as a coherent connection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

There are a lot of bugs in the workspace, and the tables have a lot of information which we are unable to replicate in the workspaces due to limitations and constraints. The initial setup was a bit difficult as we went for a migration of data from lower instances, and there was no set rules for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ServiceNow SPM Unifies Strategy, Projects, and Execution in One Ecosystem"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

What makes ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)—formerly known as ITBM—stand out is how it fundamentally bridges the gap between high-level business strategy and ground-level technical execution. Instead of treating project management, budgeting, and team workflows as disconnected silos, it pulls them into a single ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

SPM is not a "plug-and-play" tool. Setting it up to reflect your organization's actual governance, demand scoring models, and resource pools requires massive upfront planning. If your internal processes aren't completely mature before you start configuring the platform, you end up automating a broken process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Management, Room for Customization"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I appreciate how ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management allows me to manage and organize everything effectively. The way it supports classifying the service catalog with certain needed fields and assigning ownership like administrators and capability owners helps streamline the organization process. Even though I wasn't there at the beginning, once I learned, the setup was easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I would like certain fields to be available in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management. Specifically, there should be ownership fields for the people administrating and the owners of each service, as the owners of services won't administrate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Integrated Strategy Planning with Cost Concerns"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I like that ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management places strategy and planning in one location and connects it with execution. I appreciate the single ecosystem, which makes it easy to manage and report, allowing me to roll down strategy execution and roll up reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

The cost is a downside; it's expensive, and not everything supported by the software is being used by the business. The initial setup took some time, with challenges in defining workflows to meet the company's needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
