"Hands-Down Best Choice — Reliable, Easy to Use, and Quick to Set Up"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

This is seriously the best option out there, hands down! It's so reliable, I've never had any issues with it. Plus, it's incredibly easy to figure out and get started with. I was up and running in no time at all. Honestly, if you're looking for something that works great and is simple to use, you can't go wrong with this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

So far, everything has been pretty great. I haven't encountered anything that's really let me down yet, and it's always nice when things meet or exceed expectations. I'm genuinely enjoying the experience and hope it continues that way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Connects Strategic Objectives to Agile Execution with Excellent Portfolio Visibility"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

The ability to seamlessly connect high level strategic objectives with team level agile execution is its biggest strength. It provides excellent visibility across the entire portfolio, ensuring that our sprint deliverables are always aligned with the broader business roadmap and highest-value priorities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

While it handles high level portfolio tracking very well, the interface for day to day sprint execution and backlog refinement can feel heavy and less intuitive compared to dedicated, standalone agile tools. Navigating between team level tasks and portfolio epics sometimes requires too many clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Visibility, Needs Enhanced UX"
3.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I like the visibility it provides across projects and portfolios. It's easy to see the status of ongoing work, track milestones, and understand where resources are allocated, which helps with planning and decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I find that the user experience could be improved. Some features take time to learn, and navigating between different modules can sometimes feel overwhelming. The platform has many features, so it can take time for new users to become familiar with it. A simpler interface and more built-in guidance would make it easier to navigate and use effectively. "Transforming Portfolio Management with ServiceNow SPM"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

What I like best about ServiceNow SPM is how it connects strategy, investments, and execution in a single platform, giving real‑time visibility into portfolios, resources, costs, and outcomes. It helps ensure that the right work gets prioritized, aligns every initiative to business goals, and enables faster, data‑driven decisions with better resource utilization and governance Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

ServiceNow SPM powerful but complex to adopt and sustain. Common concerns include a steep learning curve and non‑intuitive interface, which slow adoption. The heavy configuration effort required to align with PMO processes, delaying value realization, Adoption can suffer if workflows feel complex, leading teams to revert to other tools. There are also concerns around data quality impacting reporting trust, and over‑customization creating technical debt and upgrade challenges Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Portfolio Visibility, But a Steep Learning Curve"
3/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

What I like best about G2 ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management is its ability to align projects, resources, and investments with business goals in one centralized platform.

It provides strong visibility into portfolio performance, helping teams make informed, data-driven decisions.

The reporting and planning capabilities also improve collaboration and resource allocation across the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management can have a steep learning curve, especially for new users and administrators.

Some configurations and customizations require significant setup effort and technical expertise.

The interface and reporting features can also feel complex when managing large amounts of portfolio data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Project Visibility, Complex Setup"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I like the centralized visibility and planning structure that ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management provides across larger initiatives. It simplifies tracking project status, dependencies, approvals, and resource allocation without the need to switch between separate tools or manual spreadsheets. The portfolio dashboards, project tracking, resource visibility, and approval workflows are especially valuable as they offer stakeholders a clearer view of priorities, timelines, and dependencies across multiple initiatives. I also find the workflow automation and reporting very helpful for operational coordination and status visibility, reducing the need for manual follow-ups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

One area that could improve is the overall complexity of the interface and configuration process. The platform is very capable, but for newer users or teams not deeply familiar with ServiceNow workflows, some areas can feel overwhelming during onboarding and setup. Reporting and dashboard customization also took a bit of time to refine in a way that matched different stakeholder needs. Navigation across multiple modules during larger portfolio workflows can sometimes feel heavier than expected, especially when trying to get quick operational visibility without digging through several layers of configuration. Customizing dashboards, reporting structures, and approval processes took more time than expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Integrates Seamlessly with ITSM, Streamlines Agile Tracking"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I use ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management to track all the agile deliveries from my company, which is critical given our large IT department. It helps me keep everything on track and prioritize developments effectively. The seamless integration with ITSM is a key highlight for me because it allows me to track all the changes in our production environment. As a bank that operates services 24x7, this integration helps us prevent outages by letting us know every alteration in our production environment, who built it, and what it does. Also, we use ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management as our main agile tool, which we pair with software like MS Teams and Open IA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

The workspace is something that we do not use so well... We created a portal so we can have something like a Kanban panel and other things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective Portfolio Views, Setup Needs Expert Touch"
3.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I like the views that ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management offers, especially the Strategic Planning workspace and the workspace for resourcing. The roadmap visual views are really helpful, with features like grouping, basic filtering, and the ability to see at a glance percentages and owners. This setup helps with making decisions on what to start for our portfolio committee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

In the workspaces, it isn't well integrated into legacy views, meaning some of the information aren't in the views, so there's lots of flipping between. For project management, it's hard to manage projects and get full work breakdown structures; setting baselines is clunky. Views for troubled or red flag projects and insights are difficult to dig up and require custom reporting. The technical setup is okay, but it's not obvious on how or what features to enable unless you have an expert. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifies Portfolio Management with 3D Visualization"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I loved the way things turn from ideation to demand and finally to a project in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management. It provides a simplistic and cohesive way to track a project from its inception to its completion. I appreciate the ability to explore various components such as the financial component and the 3D project visualization, which is a good way to demonstrate to upper management when projects occur during a calendar year. I find that presenting data in a meaningful way to gain support from upper management is extremely valuable. I have the ability to create baselines, like for monetary, risk, and security aspects, to see if a new project is viable. The ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management module offers more in-depth analysis of project components than what I was using before. The initial setup was extremely easy, and the instructions worked really well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

The workspace seems a little crowded and sometimes it is hard to navigate. But with every new product, there is a learning curve. The one suggestion I would offer is the ability to make clear distinctions between the different tables when it comes to the time for setting up your project. "AI-Driven Portfolio Management at Its Best"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I like AI assistance the most because it combines data and workflow efficiently under a best-scale platform. It turns messy raw data into visual roadmaps that actually matter for an interactive timeline view and shifting deadlines across everything. I can't find any serious difficulty; the UI and dashboards are all good. The initial setup was very easy because I'm already familiar with these types of project tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I find the prices climb very fast; this could be more cost-effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
