"Streamlined Workflow Management with ServiceNow App Engine"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

I like how ServiceNow App Engine offers full scripting flexibility at a low cost, which allows us to build and iterate over projects quickly. The Flow Designer is great for managing workflow logic, such as validation and banking details, without hitting a wall. Additionally, features like access control and the Integration Hub are also appreciated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

I feel like the ServiceNow App Engine has a step learning curve, and onboarding takes time. Although the platform is powerful, the documentation isn't beginner-friendly, which adds to the challenge. Debugging can be quite painful, especially when something breaks inside the flow; script tracing to find the exact failure point takes longer than it should. It would be really helpful to have better in-line error messages. When dealing with performance and complex workflows, there's a limit to UI customization, which sometimes causes the site to break. What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

ServiceNow App Engine makes it easy to build and deploy business applications with minimal coding. The drag-and-drop workflow designer, form builder, and automation capabilities help speed up development and reduce manual effort. I especially like how seamlessly it integrates with other ServiceNow modules, allowing teams to automate approvals, service requests, and operational processes on a single platform. The low-code approach enables faster delivery while still providing flexibility for customizations when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

ServiceNow App Engine has a learning curve, especially for users who are new to the ServiceNow ecosystem. While the platform is low-code, more complex applications and integrations often require scripting knowledge and platform expertise. Licensing costs can also be a concern for smaller organizations, and some advanced customizations may take longer to implement than expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ServiceNow App Engine: Fast Enterprise App Development with Powerful Automation"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

ServiceNow App Engine made it easy to build enterprise applications and automate workflows without spending excessive time on infrastructure and configuration. I particularly liked the low-code capabilities, workflow designer, integrations, and built-in security features. It helped our team deliver internal business applications faster while maintaining a consistent user experience across the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

The main challenge is the learning curve for new developers and administrators. Advanced configurations and integrations can take time to understand, and troubleshooting complex workflows is not always straightforward. "ServiceNow App Engine Review: Fast, Flexible, Enterprise-Ready"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

It brings together low‑code speed and enterprise‑grade governance. I can build apps quickly with drag‑and‑drop tools and templates, automate workflows, and embed AI, while security, scalability, and compliance are built in from the start. Overall, it supports rapid innovation without sacrificing control or platform standards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

The high licensing costs and ongoing maintenance overhead can put pressure on budgets. For more complex use cases, it still requires skilled resources, which can create a dependency on experts. Over-customization may also add unnecessary complexity and make upgrades more difficult and time-consuming. In addition, weak governance or insufficient integration planning can lead to delays, increased costs, and scalability challenges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Users with Ease, Minor Interface Hiccups"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

I love how ServiceNow App Engine helps me demo ideas for Finance, HR, and Legal or Wildcare users rather than just explaining. The New Build Agent and Now Assist is my favorite way to build demos, allowing me to create a workspace for any app without waiting for a developer. I appreciate that it shows users that Excel and manual processes are not always the answer. The initial setup was also very easy, which is a big plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

Sometimes I would get lost in the interface because of too many tabs opening and would have to restart. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Rapid Prototyping with Setup Challenges"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

I use ServiceNow App Engine for quick prototyping to validate ideas, and it's the speed that works for me. I love that it allows me to get in front of my team or teams we are collaborating with to show a proof-of-concept with amazing speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

Sometimes I feel a bit restricted with the tweaks because of the proprietary workflows. Also, configuring the platform to fit into our ecosystem was a bit of a task. Setting up SSO, mapping directories, and setting user roles and governance took some time, and we had to coordinate with other teams. It's definitely not a 'plug-and-play' tool out of the box. "Intuitive Low-Code Platform That Speeds Up Development and Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

I appreciate ServiceNow App Engine for making application development intuitive and efficient. Its low-code environment, combined with workflow automation, helps transform ideas into working solutions quickly. The ability to integrate, scale, and manage applications within a single platform adds great value. It significantly improves both development speed and operational efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

While ServiceNow App Engine is a powerful platform, one drawback is that more advanced customizations often still require scripting knowledge, which takes away from the simplicity you’d expect from a low-code approach. On top of that, working through complex use cases can be challenging, and debugging issues isn’t always straightforward. With such a broad set of features to understand, it can feel overwhelming at times—especially for beginners—so the learning curve can be a bit steep. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
