"Effortless Workflow Automation, Ideal for Non-Tech Savvy Users"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

I use ServiceNow App Engine to automate my work and build workflows, which is a huge time-saver and an amazing tool because I don't need to do anything manually. I really like that it is easy to navigate and set up, even having instructions on building workflows makes it accessible for a non-tech savvy person like me. Also, the setup was easy without having to take assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

Everything works well but sometimes it suggests lots of options and instructions which makes it difficult. Instead of just showing general instructions, it should only talk about what we ask it to do. It would be great if it goes step by step on each line, making it easier for us to navigate and follow the rules at the same time. There should also be more filter options to find the details and report of each filter that we can pull. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes Workflow Automation More Accessible."
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

The best part is that it works very fast. I can create small apps for my team members without any complicated code. Its drag & drop system proves to be very easy for us. This saves me time and I can focus on other tasks. It’s great when work gets done quickly. Its overall workflow is very clean and provides a seamless experience. I can change and automate how the whole operation gets done on its own. The previous system was very confusing but here everything is straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

What I dislike about ServiceNow App Engine is that every time an update comes out, everything changes. My old apps infrastructure gets all distorted and I have to re tweak them all. I thought I would build it once and it would work, but every month there's a new problem to keep an eye on the amendments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Yet Approachable Low Code App Building with ServiceNow App Engine"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

ServiceNow App Engine makes app building feel less intimidating while still being powerful for enterprise use. Since I’m still in the learning phase and exploring the platform over the last couple of months, the low code approach has been really helpful for understanding workflows, approvals, and automation without needing deep coding knowledge first. I also appreciate how everything stays connected inside the same ServiceNow ecosystem, which makes it easier to explore different modules and understand how real business processes work together. As someone currently learning and experimenting with modern enterprise tools, it feels like a practical platform with a lot of room to grow into. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

One thing that felt difficult in the beginning was understanding how different parts of ServiceNow App Engine connect together. Since I’m still learning the platform, some areas like integrations, advanced workflows, and UI customization were confusing at first and required more platform knowledge than I expected from a low code tool. Sometimes the interface also feels crowded with many options and tabs, which can slow down new users while exploring features. I think beginners would benefit from simpler onboarding, clearer guidance for real use cases, and easier explanations around app structure and automation logic. Once you spend time with it, the platform starts making more sense, but the initial learning experience can definitely feel overwhelming for new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Low-Code Platform for Enterprise Apps"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

I have not identified any major new features since my previous review. I continue to appreciate the low-code development environment, workflow automation, integrations, and ability to customize applications according to business requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

The main areas for improvement remain the learning curve, documentation, and onboarding experience for new users. Some advanced customization can still require technical knowledge, so more beginner-friendly guidance and practical examples would make the platform easier to adopt. "Helped Us Clear a Long App Backlog Fast"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

What I really like is how quickly our teams can put together internal apps without waiting on a full dev cycle every time. As a programme manager juggling multiple workstreams, that speed matters a lot. The drag and drop builder is genuinely usable by people who aren't hardcore developers, and it still plugs nicely into the wider ServiceNow platform so we're not creating another disconnected tool. Workflow automation has cut down a fair bit of manual follow-up that used to eat into my week. It's also reassuring from a governance point of view since it sits within our existing ITSM setup, so security and change management don't become an afterthought. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

The licensing and pricing model is honestly a bit confusing to explain to stakeholders, especially when we're trying to scale usage across teams and need to justify the cost. Performance can also lag when the apps get more complex, particularly with heavier workflows or larger data volumes, and it's not always obvious why. The learning curve is steeper than ServiceNow markets it as too, our citizen developers can build simple things fine but anything with real logic or integrations still needs someone who knows the platform properly. Documentation for some of the more advanced features feels thin, so we've ended up relying on trial and error more than I would like . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Our Workflows with Powerful Automation"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

I like ServiceNow App Engine's workflow automation capability. It makes it easy to automate approvals, notifications, and task routing without building everything from scratch. It saves time by automating repetitive tasks, reduces manual effort, and gives better visibility into the status of requests and workflows. The initial setup was easy with the support from the solution engineer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

I think the low-code capabilities are good, but more complex workflows still require scripting. I feel the user interface for designing applications could be more intuitive for new users. The application designer can feel cluttered when working on larger applications. Finding specific tables, flows, or components sometimes takes multiple clicks, and navigation between related objects isn't always straightforward. I would like a cleaner layout, better search, and easier navigation between forms, workflows, and data models to improve the development experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Automation, Needs Improved Stability"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

I use ServiceNow App Engine to automate work for my clients, and I love how it makes complex work simple by converting it into organized workflows. It's great for reducing manual work, and since no coding is needed, everyone can create workflows easily, which saves a lot of time and energy. The platform is reliable and trustworthy, even someone not tech-savvy can build workflows with minimal guidance. I also find that the workflow setup is extremely user-friendly; I can add as many actions as needed according to my business requirements, which is awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

One thing I noticed is that when we make a heavy workflow with a lot of actions and triggers, it creates a loop and doesn't work well. I found that when I recreate the same workflow, it starts working. This is something that should be improved. Additionally, there should be a more accurate AI assistant that can build a workflow for us with just a prompt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

ServiceNow App Engine is a low-code platform that makes it easy to build and automate business applications with minimal development effort. What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

"Streamlined Task Management with ServiceNow App Engine"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

I find the ServiceNow App Engine really useful for delivering incidents and creating tickets. It's great for tracking how much work is being done, which is very useful for us. I can easily create tasks and perform activities, and I appreciate that I can automate things like sending alerts and notifications to users or callers as needed. The reliability of these features really stands out for me, and I'm quite enjoying using the ServiceNow App Engine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

Sometimes, the integration could be improved, especially with APIs connectors. They can bring up more features for easier integration with other forms. Also, when it comes to the chatbot, they could create a native one to help raise queries and get them resolved quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Setup, Powerful Automation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

I like that ServiceNow App Engine is easy to use and set up. With just a little guidance, my clients can easily understand what to do next without dealing with a complete code system, which could be difficult to understand. It saves a lot of time for my clients because it works really well for them in automating workflows and integrating with their CRM, making it super helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

One thing I noticed while helping my clients set up with the service tool is that when we go to the advanced setup, it gets tricky for non-techy users. The instructions are kind of advanced level; it should be simplified so that even they don't face any issues with advanced settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
