Consultant and Project Leader Enterprise (\> 1000 emp.) 6/10/2021 "Demand & Inventory Planning with a good balance of configurable automation with manual controls" 5/5 What do you like best about Service Optimizer 99+? 1) SO99 takes your ERP demand, inventory, open POs, and master data and loads into a model which generates a forecast, stocking targets, and recommended POs. So it takes a lot of data and allows users to manage the model and outputs at whatever level of aggregation they want. 2) Configurations, settings, and overrides can easily be done at any level of aggregation. This streamlines the work of the demand and supply planners, allowing them to focus on exceptions and process improvement. 3) The stock optimization algorythm takes many inputs/variables into account -- creating a truly optimal solution for service and cost. 4) Data elements and variables can be maintained in your ERP or in SO99 (flexible control). 5) Great support team at ToolsGroup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Service Optimizer 99+? 1) While the internal reporting tool is really good, the data is somewhat siloed in the database. This makes it difficult to look at certain kinds of data together. For example looking at stock targets, proposals, historical demand and the forecast in the same view is not possible. (Or would require customization). 2) There are also a couple screens where the filtering is very limited, making it difficult to work on particular slices of business. 3) TG generally discourages users from creating and editing batch jobs since they are complicated. The downside of this is that you will need their help to make changes to your batch processes to align with changing business conditions/needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Service Optimizer 99+ solving and how is that benefiting you? Problems: Poor forecast accuracy, manual and simplistic inventory management processes, low in-stocks. Benefits: A significant improvement in forecast accuracy, a direct linkage from forecast to supply plan, automated and sophisticated inventory management processes, improving in-stocks, better control over service, and a substantially reduced workload for the team.
